    Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (TTGL) is an amazing series encompassing many characters whom you learn to love, and a compelling story driven by human spirit and the will to fight for the future. Nothing could have been done better in this show and I wouldn't change anything whatsoever. I highly recommend anyone claiming to enjoy anime to watch this series!

    Season 2 might be far more outlandish in its plot, but the strong character development, mech combat and fantastic pacing all leads to an emotional ending that signifies the very essence of the human spirit. It is amazing to see such a series resonate so well with me when I watched it as an adult and missing out as a kid. Even if I prefer Season 1 more, there is no denying that Season 2Season 2 might be far more outlandish in its plot, but the strong character development, mech combat and fantastic pacing all leads to an emotional ending that signifies the very essence of the human spirit. Gurren Lagaan is by far my favorite anime and has been for many many years, an S class anime that I would recommend to anyone, you actually grow onto the characters with a story that is an emotional rollercoaster. Granted I hated a character for a while until the protag found someone else, but that's how attached I was to that character.… Expand
