    Ótimo filme curto, o bom é que ele é gostoso, o ruim que somente dura 1 hora, childish Gambino (Donald Glover) Divo como sempre com sua super companheira Rihanna ( se bem que ela poderia cantar também) conta uma historia real sobre o mundo e com a "aparição de this is américa" pois todos pensam que na america vai ser diferente e nenhum lugar é. É um bom filme porem curtissimo

    I can't help stress enough how good of a storyline this movie has. It covers everything from social issues to a beautiful love story. The suspense and twist were perfectly executed. Above all, Rihanna's acting has improved, and Probably an Emmy worthy best acting performance she has ever put out on a movie before with the support from the excellent main actor Childish Gambino everythingI can't help stress enough how good of a storyline this movie has.     O filme é impecável do começo ao fim. A fotografia é de outro mundo. Atuação da Rihanna melhorando cada vez mais.

    Putting too much expectation onto it was such a huge mistake. Rihanna's acting is so bad that only Childish could save this mess. She can't sing and now she proved she can't act. Lame.

    A classic case of wool being pulled over the viewer's eyes, via Childish Gambino fans. It definitely is not the second coming of some artistic Christ as the majority of user reviews will have you believe. As much as Donald Glover is good... Just because he is in something doesn't make it so. A borefest of the biggest of magnitude.

    It's unfortunate that all the creativity ran out of steam just when the main plot kicked off, because all the familiarity could have been easily unfelt with a bit of the imagination Hiro Murai embellished the first act with; the animated intro sequence is a case in point. Nevertheless, almost everything else in this little movie is amazing; Donald Glover's vibrant performance, and hisIt's unfortunate that all the creativity ran out of steam just when the main plot kicked off, because all the familiarity could have been easily unfelt with a bit of the imagination Hiro Murai embellished the first act with; the animated intro sequence is a case in point. Nevertheless, almost everything else in this little movie is amazing; Donald Glover's vibrant performance, and his electrifying songs, Rihanna's charisma and lovely narration voice-over, Letitia Wright's appeal (her character is completely unnecessary, though), the lively and colourful cinematography that made the titular island anything but fictional place, just to name a few!

    A weird, not particularly entertaining little experiment. Not much story to speak of, the performances aren't great, the musical numbers felt shoehorned in like it was an Elvis movie. I really do not know what kind of point they were trying to make thematically? Too much work is bad?

    As a genuine longtime fan of Donald Glover, and as a man with a massive crush on Rihanna, this movie scratched all my itches & more. Wonderful music & stunning cinematography turns this Disney-esque story up to 11. My investment in the characters couldn't have been realer. Sit back & enjoy this (under an hour long) joyride through the mind of Donald & Hiro!

    Guava Island is a neat encapsulation of Glover’s key artistic interests, expressions that are by turn angry and hopeful, but always driven by the idea of music as an undeniable force for good. As a film it is slight, but not unsatisfying, instead existing as a thoughtful, dreamy tribute to art, love and people power.
