Acted greatly, plus great dramatic scenes, "GREY 's ANATOMY" is one of the best of the history. me myself, really enjoyed it. it's not that usual drama that you can see in such series like ER. it's more DRAMA than SURGERY! if somebody says that it's not Excellent, he/she has not watched all seasons!

I really like where the show is going with the Meredith-centric season. Everything is well justificated. I hate Magie, but I'm starting to like her. I love how the show is moving on with the Callie-Arizona relationship, and how the problems of MerDer are exposed to the audience. But, we need more from the first seasons: Big medical cases, better storylines for Alex and Bailey. I love how the show could be so funny and dramatic in one single episode. I miss that. And how about a come back for Addison, Teddy, Izzie, Sydney, or a come back for death characters: George, Lexie, Mark? (I REALLY MISS CRISTINA) Expand

This is one of the best season. The friendship between Meredith and Christina is the best. As well as Meredith and Derek are my OTP. I love this show so much.

This concept has been done before, and much better too. Let's put pretty people in scrubs and put ridiculous scenarios in front of them. Being in the medical field, I find this insulting the intelligence of Americans. I just hope people don't think this crap mimics reality(except maybe the sleeping around). Pass, pass, pass.

Season 1 of Grey's Anatomy set the stage for many many years of great television. I love the interactions between all the characters and the acting is great. My favorite moment of the season was the arrival of addison. I still see that moment as one of the biggest game changers and shockers ever to happen in the seven seasons that Grey's has been on the air.

The dialogue is filled with sarcasm and it ends up getting on your nerves if you aren't a sarcastic person. It comes off as the characters treating each other like **** when I imagine it's supposed to be humorous teasing/banter. The entire tone of the show (from someone who has never worked in a medical field, but has been to the hospital) is hard to believe. I can tell the show is trying to take the medical side of itself seriously, but it only ends up being confusing because the dialogue makes the characters sound like complete morons.

I regret giving this show a chance. These are my first impressions. The only enjoyment I could get from the show was mocking the idiotic behavior of the characters, which borders on cringeworthy in a show that obviously wants to be believable.

It's a chick show, it's practically a soap opera it's so ridiculous. If you're a guy, stay away.

The show has had potential from its beginning and has shown an admireable ability to quickly develop complex characters. Sandra Oh's playing of Yang brings a very funny atmosphere to the team with her twisted sense of humour and innapropriate behaviour. The complicated relationship between Derek and Meredith can be fun, but also annoying at times.

The only thing I would say is a huge flaw in the show is the whole character of Izzy. Not only is she completely incompetent, and seems way behind the other interns/residents the entire time she is on the show, but she crosses the line so many times that I swear I would hope to God, that no hospital would ever permit such an insubordinate and reckless staff member to remain employed in a real hospital! The whole Denny thing, she should have not only lost her license and job she should have been written off by going to jail.
In later seasons, Alex catches his fiance in their bedroom with a co worker who seems like from Alex's point of view, they are going to sleep together and reacts and he ends up on charges, in jail, fighting for his job, and yet Izzy stole an organ, killed a man, as if the events hadn't happened the way they did, Denny may have lived, got Burke shot, etc and not a charge, nothing. I would have to say that is, I think the only think that I have to literally skip past because it just annoys to me too much to even watch it! I guess it's because again I'd hope to God no hospital would ever allow anyone like her character to be employed by especially a hospital where people's lives are in their hands.
The other story lines are pretty good and even on the edge of your seat good! The heated chemo lavage episode based on a real treatment used and the inspiration of Dr's trying to use new things to treat all different types of surgical issues is the kind of Dr's I'd hope to end up with if ever faced with surgery.
Jo's character, also not one I like at all! She didn't have what it took from the beginning, crying to get what she wanted, and then the whole domestic violence thing, but again led her to think she could do as she pleased and be above the law. When she beat Chess Peckwell, (Jason Myers) within an inch of his life, regardless if he hit her first or not, she should have been held accountable! She clearly did more damage to him than him her. I wouldn't want to think in real life a woman could be allowed to do that to anyone and get away with it regardless of what their past. It sends a very wrong messege. She spends more time with drama than doing her job as a Dr, and she comes off same as Izzy, not as smart or competent as her co workers but more behind letting her personal life get in the way of her job, constantly, even in the OR with a patient on the table. Again wouldn't want that person in an operating room where I'm on the table. These two characters Jo and Izzy, I just think if they were going to be on, it should have been as patients or family of patients that starting dating Alex or whoever, but not be Dr's, or surgeons as the thought of that, I don't know about anyone else, but it's a scary thought to think anyone like them would be on the other end of a scalpel in a room where I'm having surgery.
I guess the only other thing is just the dismissal of characters by ways which would never happen, and dismissing such loved characters, doesn't help the show. George, Mark, Lexi, Derrick, Brooks, Reid, (although I didn't like her character at all either), but shot in the head, wow. It's like they get you just adoring characters and really loving them and that's it, they're gone. Overall I would say it's a great drama otherwise, just try and keep some of the last characters that are originals on the show!

One positive point of the series is that there is no hierarchy between the life / story of each character that is reported during the season, each having very distinct and diverse personalities; Among the interns are former model Izzie Stevens (Katherine Heigl), competitive Cristina Yang (Sandra Oh), arrogant and prankster Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) and "good boy" George O'Malley (TR Knight); The cast is heavy and still features Chandra Wilson playing Miranda Bailey a rigid head of residence better known as "Nazi" and Patrick Dempsey as Derek Shepherd, neurosurgeon, known as "McDream" by the inmates

During the episodes you will realize that the hospital is just a scenario before the concrete idea of the series that is exactly to show the daily life of different people living in the same work environment; But it is clear that the hospital was not chosen at random; If it is already difficult to live with people in a common work environment imagine in a hospital and still among a bunch of young inmates taking vital responsibility decisions? And that was the very intention of Shonda Rhimes, the creator of the series, to show the emotions and disappointments of a doctor since her admission to a hospital that is undoubtedly a very interesting plan, considering that it is a profession that reaches sentimental maximum level by being dealing with the lives of other people
