PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TV Executives- LET THIS SHOW STAY ON THE AIR THE WHOLE SEASON and DON'T change its time slot. I'm SO SICK of shows I love beign cancelled within a few weeks b/c the Executives won't give the show the time it may need to find its audience, or because the networks have changed the time slots, or days the shows air and then wonder WHY OH WHY is it not getting the rates they should! Give this smart and charming comedy a chance to bloom!!! Expand

This show blows. It wasn't funny, the characters are all paper thin, and frankly, it just sucks out loud. Also why is this on ABC Family. They celebrate sex, underage drinking and just harassment in general. Peice O' crap.

Coming from the view point of an actual college Greek, the show does not accurately portray Greeks on campus. But even though it is a falso portrail, I cannot help but watch every week. I love the show!

I think that greek is awesome. i mean it's real enough to understand and its fake enough to be funny. i think that Greek is a good TV show and whether or not it should be on abc family isn't important. Its on abc fmaily so it doesn't really matter because just a few complaints will not stop the show from running. And the whole GREEK with two sigmas was just to show that it was about a frat house and all. so if some people don't like it then don't watch it and if some parents don't like it then don't let your kids watch it but if you like it and you don't think it matters then does it really matter? NO! and i think that if abc family put it on their channel and all then it can't be that bad. and yes i have saw the show all three episodes. Expand

This show is a great slightly dramatized account of life on a college campus through the eyes of a Greek affiliated student. Being a former Greek student myself, I can say that I really only have one major beef with this show...while funny, I HATE that Dale's character is the only "Christian" viewpoint character portrayed on the show. Let's be honest. College campuses are definitely full of people like Dale. However, college campuses are ALSO full of people like myself, sorority girls who are strong Christians and also open minded and non-judgmental of how their friends and fellow students choose to live their lives. Yes, Dale is often hilarious. However, as the only "Christian" character on the show, I find it pretty offensive that the show seems to forward the stereotype of a Christian from the South. Were these kids to visit any SEC school, they'd find a much warmer, more social, open minded, normal and fair type of Christian Southern student...and more likely than not, Greek affiliated. Expand

Quite possibly one of the worst shows on television today; period. The plot turns and predictable outcomes are the only drive towards progressing the storyline, which seems to be already circular and repetitive, even in the show's second season. Let us also realize the that the content of this show is not entirely appropriate for a family channel appearance. Sex, mainly, is the only theme that drives this forsaken work forward. Thus, considering that everyone on the show has almost already had a conflict in bed with everyone else, maybe we will be fortunate to experience Greek being Black-balled. -Gordan. Expand

This show is creative and they have mastered the character development. Now, they didn't do so the first season, but just like Friends and other shows with multiple characters, have that settled into their stereotypical roles and its WORKS. This is a show I never miss and love it. Plus, my kids love it too and so its a great one for all of us to watch!

I agree with Brendan. I have no children, I'm a university instructor, and certainly no prude. But I really am puzzled at how this show ended up on ABC Family. What's the point in having a separate station with "Family" in the title if the programming offers no alternative to the general licentiousness of popular culture? It almost does seem that ABC is deliberately provoking its viewers; daring it's more conservative ones to say "That's not MY family." But such flaccid provocations only make the channel look like they're running out of ideas. All trashiness aside, the show is just plain dumb, and does offer some explanation (even if it's based in fantasy) as to why my Greek students are regularly the least enlightened and intellectually curious ones I have in my classes. Why are the same tired formulas keep getting used over and over again? Did we have enough with The O.C., One Tree Hill, Angel, Beverly Hills 90210,....? If you do not get it, it boils down to uncharacteristically beautiful people living the glamorous life solving unrealistic problems.

All this show is doing is playing on the stereotype that society has formed about Greek organizations. This stereotype is utterly distorted and this shows is only doing harm when greek organizations are trying to fix this image that America has of them. There are plenty of other ways the "Family" channel can portray college students having "fun and partying" in a non-greek atmosphere.

Sigh...again, popular and commercial television has decided to stick with stereotypes when dealing with the notion of Greek life during college. Greek is bound-and-determined to retain focus on its core cast, even if some of the machinations to make that possible come across as slightly contrived and belabored.
  2. Greek lacks the acidic one-liners that mark great satires like Heathers, but it strains against its conventional boundaries just enough to be enticing.
  3. Greek is much more than artful manipulation of marketing strategy. The premiere has several surprises even as it dares you to pigeonhole any of these characters. The talented young ensemble cast works hard to sell the stories and mostly succeeds.
