This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The show is like Netflix's 13 Reasons Why and covers a good amount of problems and situations that almost every teen experience, as well as some problems/situations that are rarer but still way too many teens experience. The show covers important things such as bullying, racism, bomb threats and sexual assault.

If you liked 13 Reasons Why, is it highly possible that you may like this too. This show may not suit everyone as the show, just like 13 Reasons Why, covers some difficult and uncomfortable scenes and topics to say the least. I recommend you watch the show with someone you trust and are comfortable with if you find the topics mentioned earlier disturbing. The cast is doing a good job, and it is cool that a lot of the cast seems to be new actors rather than established and well-known actors. But that does not mean that their acting is bad, quite the opposite. I especially liked Odessa A'zion (Joey Del Marco), Amir Bageria (Siddhartha Pakam) and Thelonius Serrell-Freed (Tim Delaney) and their story lines. Netflix has added disclaimers at the beginning of the episodes containing scenes that people may find disturbing.

Amazing new show! Love the storytelling, character development, writing, and acting. Grand Army has really left a mark on me. It’s thrilling, enraging, engaging, real, and gritty...and I need Season 2 now!

Grand Army is a mix of the best teen dramas from the last two decades (Skins, Skam, Euphoria) and I'm here for it: it defines a new generation of youngsters with realism and rawness. I loved it. Powerful ending, interesting characters... it would be a 9.5 as I think that the only LGBTQAI+ storyline was built in a pretty cliché way, but apart from that I believe Grand Army is an absolute gem- Expand

Being a teenager myself, its a relief to see a show representing perfectly on the life of a kid, growing up in the modern era of social media, social issues, and devastating incidents. I feel not so alone, everything i thought that i did that might've been crazy, or stupid, this show supports the quote "You are not alone" or even "Everyday is a battle". This is how teenagers need to be represented! Expand

It’s a beautifully shot, tight show with multi-layered characters, nuanced relationships, thoughtful exploration of important issues, and authentic portrayals by a diverse and talented cast! I’m a big Young Adult genre fan and have watched many YA shows, but very few are on the level of Grand Army! Bravo! Expand
