    Many critics have made comparasions to Breaking Bad and, with its “good people getting into a life of crime good for reasons shtick”, those comparasions are (on a surface level) warranted.     Many critics have made comparasions to Breaking Bad and, with its “good people getting into a life of crime good for reasons shtick”, those comparasions are (on a surface level) warranted. From the outset however Good Girls sets out to be more of a comedy drama and, perhaps due to its network origins, this first season doesn’t ever really go to the dark places that AMC’s show took us. This does sometimes undercut the drama a little and you never get that same level of tension but the show fortunately quite funny, and usually entertaining, and the excellent cast help to make up for any shortfalls in the writing.

    Good Girls is my favorite new comedy of 2018, one of my top 5 favorite new tv shows of 2018, and one of my favorite tv shows of all time. Christina Hendricks, Mae Whitman, and Retta give seriously stupendous and hilarious performances and have great chemistry together. Manny Montana, Reno Wilson, Matthew Lillard, Zach Gilford, and Allison Tolman give great supporting performances and JuneGood Girls is my favorite new comedy of 2018, one of my top 5 favorite new tv shows of 2018, and one of my favorite tv shows of all time. Christina Hendricks, Mae Whitman, and Retta give seriously stupendous and hilarious performances and have great chemistry together. Manny Montana, Reno Wilson, Matthew Lillard, Zach Gilford, and Allison Tolman give great supporting performances and June Squibb gives a great guest performance. The writing and screenplay are terrific and hilarious. The story and plot are fantastic and very unique. An A+ show and one of my top 5 favorite comedy shows of all time.… Expand

    The ordinary middle-classer(s) turning to a life of crime due to unforeseen circumstances story is such a commonly used trope in TV at this point that its crazy how coming out with a show of this point isn't met with a groan from audience, who have to deal with enough other stale TV-tropes that have been done to death but rather with relative critical praise. However I don't see a problem with this in the immediate sense because I actually found Good Girls first series to be pretty entertaining, managing to balance some typically decent humour along with some more tense moments. If Good Girls had an issue, it would be that there is almost a need at this point to compare it to every similar show done over the course of the last 20 years, and how it weighs up. Thankfully, it manages to remain memorable enough to not be overshadowed (I mean for a Weeds-core show, it doesn't even involve drug dealing), and has a unique enough take with its suburban mix of characters to get more than a pass.… Expand

    Finally an good comedy/drama show, even with all its defects, still holds us till the last episode. Christina Hendricks holdest the best performance of the cast and brought an emotion develop of feminin empowerment throught all the dramas behing the script. IM TOTALLY WAITING FOR THE NEXT SEASON.

    Es una gran serie que da demasiada risa y te atrapa desde el primer episodio solo que al momento de ver el trailer yo me esperaba algo diferente pero no hay problema de todas maneras me encanto. En ocasiones siento que pasaban cosas que es obvio que no pueden llegar a pasar, cosas irrealistas pero no se pierde el hilo de la historia

    Seriously! How can this show be disliked?? Everyone I have recommended it too just loved it. Thee is sooo much crap on tv now a days this was a refreshing funny show. I was happy to see Mathew Lillard too! Cannot wait for season 2!!

    This show was very good, I'm looking forward to season 2. These 3 just keep making horrible decisions and it's interesting to watch how it all turns out. Great characters, very interesting and entertaining.

    Good Girls understands the genre (revenge fantasy) and source material (see above) but hasn’t the slightest idea what to do with it.

    As is, it’s more of a dark comedy that can’t be dark enough to earn the drama or sharp enough to work as a comedy. It tries to be everything, but moves too quickly between genres to fit into a 44-minute cut.

    The resulting frying-pan-and-fire story line forces the three leads to confront how serious they are about being criminals. The problem, as enjoyable as Good Girls often is, is that it seems unsure how serious it is about being a crime story.
