Jun 15, 2022Melissa McCarthy plays the one character she ever plays as cringy as ever. The preview looks cool but nothing cool ever happens. Mostly bland dialogue with no real humor. Why do I still have Netflix?

Jun 25, 2022I really tried to like this show but it's just not good. The storyline is shallow, all the character development comes so easy that there is no pay off. Feels like a way worse version of Ted lasso

Jun 30, 2022I really love this show. It's sweet and wholesome and has lots of funny quotable moments. I find this show to be similar to Lucifer but more light hearted and fun. The cast is pretty lovable and the relationships between characters is sweet. I haven't enjoyed many new shows but this one is good. 10 out of 10

The irony is that it’s actually a pretty solid B in terms of most of its individual aspects, and it’s only when it tries to jam all of them together into a cohesive whole that the seams start to show. ... As is, the show ends less on a dramatic question mark about the grand nature of the War In Heaven and more on what the whole series, ultimately feels like: a slightly sweet, not especially eventful shrug.

There is a sweetness here and naiveté. Falcone’s heart is clearly in the right place, but all his goodwill is undone by a narrative that is both too simple and overly convoluted, underdeveloped characters, and chintzy production design.

Unfortunately, this introductory batch ends with such a shrug that it’s hard to imagine that anyone will be eagerly waiting to see whether Clark saves the world.
