    While the show had some charm, its style and humor were dated, even when the show was new. Hanna-Barbera had already made similar and better series a decade earlier.

    To be fair, I, like many others at the time, were annoyed that this series was named Ghostbusters. The movie (with Dan Aykroyd) had clearly established itself as the proper holder of the name and this show just coasted off    While the show had some charm, its style and humor were dated, even when the show was new. Hanna-Barbera had already made similar and better series a decade earlier.

    To be fair, I, like many others at the time, were annoyed that this series was named Ghostbusters. The movie (with Dan Aykroyd) had clearly established itself as the proper holder of the name and this show just coasted off of their fame. Think about it, had this show been called anything else, no one would even remember it even existed, yet alone watched it.

    Overall:
    A poor animated show with weak writing, dated animation (even at the time) and an overall concept that was just a stupid mockery of a better franchise. If it had been an intentional spoof, I might have been more forgiving, but it wasn't.    … Expand
