I don't remember having so much fun watching a tv talk show comedy that could successfully infuse an adult's sense of fanboy wonder into celebrity popular culture interviews. Kevin Smith plays on his cinematic connections to bring us some candid experiences with Hollywood insiders, while Greg Grunberg instills us with a genuine feeling of boyhood "marvel". These are grown men getting to talk about comic books, science fiction movies, and superheroes, and it's great entertainment.

Thru the first few episodes you could feel the camaraderie between Kevin and his guests, on a rooftop with Daredevil's Charlie Cox, or role-playing potential action heroes with Matt Damon. The playful nature of each segment allowed the viewers to feel like they were part of the show, or at least let us peek at some of the genuine friendships and relationships that exist in the celebrity world.

I appreciated that this show allowed me to briefly look beyond the velvet ropes to be able to see into some of the candid interactions between some celebrity stars and these regular guys, a couple of fans who happened to have made their own indelible marks in geek culture. Lighthearted and fandom-friendly, it's worth a watch.

Its all the pop culture you could ever want. (Well for me anyway) Obviously alot of stufff on here is personal preference but with the line between manchild and man being blurred all the time its nice to see at least a portion of my generation represented. We don't all want to watch dowton abbey.
