    Olha.... Até o episódio 3 tava bom, tava divertido e tal, só que depois dele nada faz sentido é estranho ninguém age como normalmente ia agir sl tudo errado mas ainda achei ok deu pra se divertir e entendo a correria pra acabar a série.

The show hasn't been the same since the end of season four but always managed to be great and in some instances, best of the best. You can have the best directing, acting, cinematography, & lighting but it means nothing if the story cannot support it. Unfortunately, this is what happened. Everything besides the writing was great and it's almost as if D&D no longer cared and just wanted to end it. Character arcs were completely ruined and rushed. Almost every core character had a disappointing end and even some were completely forgotten or abandoned. Overall, the show is still great and on of the best every made. It's just a shame the ending is weak compared to what came before. Its could be much better.… Expand

    You might call that conclusion unsatisfying, I'd say it's rushed.
    You might judge Benioff and Weiss to be bad writers, I'd argue they're just sloppy.     Everyone and their mother could argue for eternity, and none of us would be right or wrong, besides a few things that are simply not up to debate - GoT has probably the best production of any piece of entertainment on TV ever, and it was brought to you by extremely talented people both in front and behind the camera - in the end what matters is whether you enjoyed it or not. That said, try to be a little bit objective and please refrain from acting as if you're entitled to anything more than what you've got. If you hated it, all I can say is that I'm sorry. I sincerely hope you find something that makes you care this much in the future.

    I personally consider the first 3 (maybe 4) seasons of this show gold. The rest doesn't really compare. I've been off the bandwagon for a while, but I did find each and every following season incredibly entertaining. The same with this finale. I enjoyed it. Season 8 had many low points, and quite a few soaring highs as well. Overall, what really bothers me is that these last few seasons shouldn't have become shorter, but longer. A 10 episode season with 90 minutes each might just have been the ticket. Alas, it is a shame. For whatever reason that just did not happen, and we have to accept that fact and move on.

    G.R.R. Martin was right. It is a bittersweet goodbye, but a fond farewell nonetheless.    … Expand

    This sums up the length of dialogue written for Kit Harington.

    Now I’ve held off my thoughts for season 8 for awhile now because...well, if you heard the overall disappointment from fans, just so you know I was one of them. It’s sometimes hard to express disappointment for something you dedicated for six years.

    Game of Thrones: Season 8 was awful and a lackluster finale, which shouldn’t be the case right? In a perfect world this should’ve conclude in a satisfying way that fans should reflect back in a positive perspective. However, looking back from three seasons ago, the seeds were planted around season 5 for a beautiful disaster.

    I got to give the creative team credit where it’s due. The sets, costumes, score and the visual effects were all superb and beats any show by a mile. I can tell a lot of passion and effort went into making the show look as great as it dose. And just because a coffee cup and a plastic water bottle was left in the shot doesn’t mean that the team stopped trying, but it’s the film makers who scan the footage over and over again to bring into question. The effort is seen on screen, yet the passion is heard in the behind the scenes making of each episode and how much of an honor to been given this opportunity.

    The cast were fantastic this season despite the material given to them. I can see the cast putting sweat and tears into every episode.

    Peter Dinklage is excellent as usual and in this season it isn’t any different. The scene in episode six ‘The Iron Throne’, where Tyrion finds Jamie and Cersei under neath the rubble - I thought Peter was truly brilliant and his breakdown was so heartbreaking. Unfortunately the writing for his character took a massive nose drive after they ran out of material from George R.R. Martin books and it got so much worst. Tyrion, a once intelligent character that took his dwarfism away from people perspective to instead judge him on his character in terms of his wise wit in a barbaric world, but now it comes down to idiotic jokes like “I’Ve GOt bALLs aNd yOu dOnT lOl”, and makes plenty of dumb decsisons that feels endless. He’s entire plan to convince his psychotic sister Cersei, which by the way she wants him dead and has lied many times before to be trusted, and yet he still believes she can change he own ways. Also, I find it absolutely annoying when Tyrion gets the opportunity to suggest who should be king despite being a prisoner and Grey Worm telling him to hush at the start, but doesn’t say a single word during the discussion. I guess the writers kinda forgot about Tyrion’s intelligence.

    Lena Headey was great this season even through she spent the entire season staring out of window drinking wine, which by the way she got top billing. Cersei has been pregnant for quite awhile now and not for a second dose it show. I guess the writers kinda forgot about that.

    I feel sorry for Kit Harington, as this show and his character made him who he is today - he never saw it as work. So it’s sad the writers turned Jon into a one note buffon that vomits awful dialogue like “yOu aRe MY qUeEn”, and “ i dOn’T wAnT IT”, or “i lOvE yOu”. With Jon coming back from the dead by the lord of light for a greater purpose that basically goes nowhere. The whole Targaryen thing and Jon being the rightful heir to throne also goes nowhere. I guess everyone kinda forgot about that.

    Jamie's entire character arc was completely wasted. The powerful scene in season three where Nikolaj Coster-Waldau delivers such a raw and devastating performance of a man with the weight on his shoulders over a situation that saved millions of lives, including women and children, but was heavily shamed for killing his king. In season 1, me and everyone loathed Jamie. His cockness mix with his despicable acts left a mark through out the show. However, saying Jamie has changed is a massive understatement - he’s almost a completely different person. A new man that’s been re-born after not only redeeming himself, but accepts his past and does what he feels is right. Well all that is gone with one line and a decision that’s so out of left field it makes no sense. “To be honest, I never really cared much for them. Innocent or otherwise”, and returns to Cersei despite disowning her in the last season. I also find it funny when you break down everything Jamie does this season. He leaves Cersei, travels to Winterfell, sleeps with Brienne, doesn’t like it, goes back to Cersei, and dies. I guess the writers kinda forgot about his character arc.    … Expand

    PROS: high quality production and actors performances, as always; John and Dany flying their dragons in the first episode; a few touching moments during the night before the battle against the Army of the Dead; "Not Today".
    CONS: without a doubt the worst season of this show, with an absurd plot arc, anti-climatic conflict resolutions and a forgettable ending.

    Game of Thrones would be remembered as the huge failure ending of a series ever with a lack of understanding of its characters and the writing quality of a bad fan-fiction. The weight of the success knocked down one of the biggest examples of epic on TV leaving a sensation of pointless after nine years expecting a great finale that never was.

This entire season was rushed, and so many loose points without an explanation.     Anyone who gives this season a 10 or 100 is either bought or simple (finds the transformer series high quality). I just can't believe how hard they dropped the ball this season. Game of Thrones deserved better than a rushed season filled with plot holes and devoid of character development (the essence of GoT). After 7 seasons of great story telling and story arcs leading to one place many (like myself) thought this season would explore certain characters more. Instead we just got killing, war and backstabbing. Many of these plot holes were still hanging once the credits rolled. Each episode I was hoping that the next was getting better. The hype of this show was difficult to live up too and the show didn't conclude in a satisfying this for the fans. If you have watched the other seasons it's worth watching, just don't expect it to conclude everything and leave you in a place of fulfillment. At least we still have the spin off shows to explore Westeros further...… Expand

The acting and production values remain as good as ever but the writing, which has steadily declined in quality since the show outpaced the books, takes a bigger nosedive than I could ever have imagined possible. Rumour has it that lead writers Benioff and Weiss chose to wrap the series up with this six episode final season despite HBO essentially giving them free reign to keep the series on air for as long as they wanted. Whatever the motivation for this decision (and rumour is they wanted to move on and take a big money offer from Disney to write the next Star Wars movie(s)) the result is an incredibly rushed finale full of plot holes and terrible character decisions and the list of issues is virtually endless...

    The entire battle with the Night King for example, a threat that has been looming over the show since the pilot, lasts just one episode and we never find out anything new regarding his motivations. Daenerys suddenly goes from conqueror to committing genocide (for absolutely no reason), Jamie Lannister’s whole redemption arch is undone in the space of two minutes, Bran’s whole journey to become the Three Eyed Raven serves no purpose in any of the major battles... I could go on but you get the point!

    Let’s hope George RR Martin finally gets around to finishing the books and does a much better job of sticking the landing than this show managed.    … Expand

    Agree with consensus it's the biggest best show of its time (despite HBO's typically lurid, salaciously depraved thumbprint further debasing the culture) with all seasons through the last rating between 9 and 10 here, but this final season is clearly a major disappointment missing the tremendous narrative craft so expertly executed previously. They blew it!

    Another or longer episode, which takes more time, would have been worthy of Game of Thrones. Here is really questionable why those responsible have finished the series quick like that.
    On the other hand, one can say about the end,it is good as it is.

    It doesn't matter if Martin spent more than 30 years thinking and writing a story full of details. The television business has its times, and the quality is too expensive in this world, more than all the special effects and actors have cost.    … Expand

The writing was at times horrendous, even though there were a few moments that honestly were well-done. But, it mostly seemed rushed and all over the place, which is a shame. Some characters were well-developed, but others had such a poor character development that many times it seemed undeserved how their character turned out to become to. The plot armor was so absurd at many instances, diminishing the overall tension. This season definitely needed to have 10 episodes so the events could be explained more thoroughly and sensibly, because 6 episodes were not enough at all for this season. But the redeeming qualities of this season are the outstanding visuals, acting and direction, and all of these things made the season more tolerable than it would've been without them. I rated it so low previously probably because I was comparing this season with the other ones too much, and maybe that's kind of unfair. The season on its own isn't so awful, but it's still a huge disappointment. Although the ending was mediocre, I still accept it as it is. This ending was heart-breaking both in the sense that it was disappointing and that the show has finally ended, after all of that hardship and drama.    … Expand

But what the writers did with the storylines and the characters in the final two seasons is nothing but disappointing and a real shame. And in the end, they simply had no clue how to do justice to all the buildup from the previous seasons. One battle against the biggest threat from the north? Seriously, that was it? And Cersei dies in a cave without being confronted by her enemies directly? All the experiences that Jamie had to endure seem to be just a waste of time, he dies with his sister. And Dany turning into Hitler and going mad and aiming to become ruler of the world? I could go on and on, but this collection of plot-holes just spoils everything that used to make GOT one of the best series ever.… Expand

    As far the endings go, this is not the worst ending they could have made, but it was clearly rushed. Writers just said "f*** this, lets wrap it up and go make star wars trilogy". What a way to treat fans...
    I am just sad.... Season 1-6 were so good.

    Its a fascinating watch seeing a tv show go from a high cost yet modest production with an emphasis on theatre style actor performances and high quality screenplay (S1-5), to a tv show operating on a now inflated/effects bloated budget and production scale with a bias towards action sequences and grandiose moments at the expense of screenplay quality(S6-8). None-the-less from beginning toIts a fascinating watch seeing a tv show go from a high cost yet modest production with an emphasis on theatre style actor performances and high quality screenplay (S1-5), to a tv show operating on a now inflated/effects bloated budget and production scale with a bias towards action sequences and grandiose moments at the expense of screenplay quality(S6-8).     While Season 8 of “Game of Thrones” ends on a satisfying note, it is much more loosely plotted than its previous seasons. This allows for some spectacular moments, but also leaves space open for inconsistent writing by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss. By hiring a third writer, the season could have been more polished and impactful than the end product received.

Before the last episode, the season stood at an 8, which is low for Game of Thrones (usually a 9 or 10) but that stupid ending killed it for me. What a bloody joke. Once Daenerys was stabbed, I actually burst out laughing, and when the DRAGON decided to ignore Jon and burn a throne he had never seen before, it became full-on hysteria. The rest of the episode just served as comic relief in varying degrees. Felt like I was watching a parody of Game of Thrones. Disgrace. Signing that petition doesn't sound so bad now. 5/10… Expand

    Muito fraco !!! Último episódio sem emoção alguma , meio bagunçado, acho q se perderam no meio do caminho , poderiam ter feito algo épico , mas a meu ver , o fim ficou bem longe disso !

    The premiere pulled everyone and everything together; it was, for the most part, an almost nostalgic hour. ... It is the competing loyalties, the loves and enmities that enmesh the Lannisters, Starks, Targaryens and the rest, after all, and the questions Game of Thrones poses about conscience and corruption and the manifestations of power, that will propel us through to the end.

    As in season 7, the big problem with “Winterfell”—the reason it felt more like an unlucky videographer’s rendering of an exceptionally dysfunctional family reunion than like a carefully crafted story—was the pacing.

    The show has stepped up its pacing. For the most part, that has been immensely satisfying, yielding crowd-pleasing moments that the and that the series generally avoided in the often-grim journey, especially for the Stark kids, which has led to this point.
