May 16, 2019A laughably bad end to a show whose quality has been in decline for quite some time now. Others have already covered the specifics exhaustively. Looking back at the early seasons, it's sad to think that this is how it all ends. Fortunately, it's only just the show.
-
May 16, 2019Visually impressive, yet utterly moronic. The characters are there, but they're all skin-deep, and some behave like different people. If you care for Game of Thrones, the fantasy genre, or even just like good stories, this season should leave you mortified.

May 20, 2019Everything about it was fine. A couple of great episodes but it went out with a whimper. Poor and uninteresting.
-
May 8, 2019The poor quality of writing this season makes my heart hurt. Everyone seems to agree that by not having the books to draw from, the show suffers, and that's becoming increasing obvious with each new episode.
It's such an incredible shame because a show that nosedives in the final seasons isn't nearly as re-watchable as one that doesn't. -
Dec 28, 2019The show was a masterpiece until season 8. Its like they decided to take a dump on the entire story. It was rushed and ruined. Biggest disapointment in cinema history imo
-
Apr 15, 2019Daenerys isn't a villain. Daenerys was sold, raped and betrayed, fought for what she wanted and won all obstacles, so can the writers treat her as the leader she is? Cause all we saw in the premiere was a weak and boring sidekick to Jon.
-
Apr 29, 2019it is sad they wasted the White Walkers in 1 single episode ripping off Star Wars Episode 1 anticlimactic fight...what a waste of a plot pumped since season 1.

May 31, 2019Shockingly Bad Ending GOT Season 8 is definitely the most disappointing ending to a show once considered one of the best ever.
-
May 13, 2019What a bunch of BS this season is. The first two episodes were okay. Tedious at times, but at least coherent. "The Long Night" on the other hand was a nonsensical disappointment, and "The Bells" was a complete storytelling catastrophe. I'm genuinely afraid to watch the finale.
-
Apr 27, 2019Game of Thrones needs to be more alive! We all know all the character are in Winterfell to defeat the Night King and the army of the deads but the two first episodes were so boring... and boring is not a word we use talking about Game of Thrones!
But I still have hope! -
May 19, 2019Final tan insípido, incoherente, aburrido... Nadie pedía un final feliz pero si un mejor desarrollo y cierre de personajes.

May 17, 2019What were they thinking? The first few seasons had great characters and dialogue, and an intriguing “winter is coming” theme. This season has nothing of quality. Bloated, murky, and ridiculous.

May 20, 2019Winter is coming? No no summer is coming!!!
Horrible end watch it!!! Really bad season with very bad ending -
Nov 4, 2019Worst final season in TV history. I'm giving them a 3 for the inmense work of the actors and every single person who made it look as visually stunning as it always is.
The writing tho was **** It was rushed, nonsensical, dumbified characters became a parody of themselves, they lacked motivation, every single one of them got ruined. D&D should be never be hired again after this. -
May 13, 2019David Benioff and D. B. Weiss ruined one of the best shows ever in 5 episodes. I feel for George... Please, just don't give good reviews to those 2 horrible writters, they don't deserve get any opportunity to ruined another work from anyone.

May 19, 2019Desconstrução total e sem sentido de vários personagens, principalmente Daenerys.
-
Dec 12, 2021A far cry. A grave disappointment of rushed ideas in the penultimate season of a saga of dramatic growth. It plays like a shock exercise and spoils previous seasons. .
-
May 9, 2019This season is unceremoniously crumbling anticlimactically like so many ice zombies.

May 6, 2019It's like they write banter then skip the actual stuff they've spent a decade building up.
-
May 6, 2019I’m actually depressed after seeing what these morons have done to this show! Arya Jill’s night king!!! Nooooooooooo, it’s been dumbed down for awhile and i could have lived with that. But that was just a betrayal pure and simple. I hope the prequels actually deal with our questions with, i don’t know, answers?
-
May 11, 2019This is not game of thrones anymore when i stareted the show i didnt know what i was geting in to after i finished the first season i knew that this is something special but in the last two season felt like the magic was lost and i feel like the magic will never come back
-
May 21, 2019At the last possible moment show abandons most of its plot lines, throws away character arcs and hurriedly sprints to the most cliche ending imaginable...
Even the wonderful music, cinematography and acting can't salvage what is in essence poorly written fan-fiction, with so many plot holes its hard to believe its' a work of professional writers... -
May 14, 2019
-
May 16, 2019Nice cinematography (except for the black screen that was most of episode 3), lots of action, god awful writing. The music was mostly great.
-
May 16, 2019When the material no longer came from George R.R. Martin it has truly became unwatchable or just laughable.
-
May 20, 2019Feels like a waste of 7 years investment in the show and characters. Could have done with atleast another season. All too rushed.
-
May 20, 2019The acting was amazing, the cast was perfect throughout. Unfortunately this season is disgustingly rushed backed up by abysmal writing. It is an absolute middle finger to the dedicated fan base.

May 2, 2019How it feels to ruine such a great TV show? How many people worked on script? If you are bad at writing, just open reddit and steal script from random thread, it will be ten times better, i promise. I had low expectations after season 6-7 and you managed to surprise me. Bravo!

Nov 22, 2020The most disastrous ending to one of the greatest stories of all time. David and Dan stink.
-
May 13, 2019The first two seasons make it hopeful for the viewer that the story will be finished satisfyingly, even though you can filll so much plot into just 4 more episodes. But those are lies. It just goes downhill from there and after already established, average season 7, the last one shows that you can hit the bottom - and very hard at that.
-
May 20, 2019Very poor writed, very bad screenplay. D&D very good writers kappa.
The arcs ending couldnt be worse at any point. -
Jul 20, 2019I'm kind of flabberghasted at just how bad this series managed to get in only two seasons, and trillions of words worth of internet ink will be spilled for decades as thousands of people more intelligent than me struggle to understand just how this series got so bad so fast.
-

-
May 21, 2019I hope your expectations were subverted enough to ruin the show. Not worth the wait. An utter disappointment in all regards. This show was the best. Now it's trash.
-
May 13, 2019They destroyed the best Tv show ever. They raped the storylines of the best characters ever written. And I hate them for it. D&D (Dumb and Dumber) I hope you never get a job after this.

May 1, 2019First: I'm a fan from the start. This episode is barely watchable. Horrible lightning / plotholes everywhere. This is what happens if you want to finish a series really quick in 8 episodes. My hopes are with the books now for a decent ending of the main story...
-
Nov 1, 2022In terms of visuals, CGI, music, cinematography, budget, etc., this season is incredible. But the writing and storytelling is absolutely horrendous. I have never seen such an incredible show be butchered so shamelessly. For that reason I really cannot rank this season any higher than 2/10, because Game of Thrones was previously the pinnacle of incredible writing and storytelling.
-
Oct 30, 2019Desastrosa desde el capítulo 2. Personajes con un argumento durante toda la temporada cambian de la noche a la mañana y sin sentido. Un final muy malo para una serie excelente
-

-
May 15, 2019This season is utter nonsense. A big fan and 8 years down the drain. Perhaps Benioff and Weiss should focus on screen writing B-movies, it's more up their league.

May 12, 2019Two points for music and set design, some of the acting. As far as writing and directing, this is the worst the show has ever been
-
May 20, 2019One glaring truth that can be gleaned from the GOT ending season is that there is no substitute for greatness. The show's writers should have waited for George RR Martin to complete his books instead of doing what they did.
-
Jun 3, 2019They should have wrapped up the show on season 7. Season 8 feels like it belongs to a completely different show.
-

May 12, 2019Sigh... Lots of pretty stuff, but zero feeling or motivation behind any of it. All the lore, all the proficies are blown away in Dragon Fire for the sake of misplaced fan service.
-
Aug 5, 2019The problem with this season isn't the ending but how rushed all events and actions are. This season could have had the same ending and be good if it wasn't rushed. Things just are lazy, twisted for impact value and out of logic. The cinematography is amazing.
-

-
May 20, 201950$ for the last season. Very bad, it seems that the fans were deceived...Why?
-
May 20, 2019If I could rate this show purely on its technical merits, I'd give it full marks. Unfortunately, Game of Thrones has always purported to be less of a visual spectacle than an epic and brutally realistic saga. So in judging the final season on the terms it set for itself in earlier seasons, it's nothing short of a disaster.
-
May 9, 2019Appalling writing and shoddy story telling, the final season has been phoned in.

May 14, 2019we have wait 8years for this sh..!! why the scenarist break all the trust we place on them?? for starwars trilogy??
-
May 13, 2019It’s obvious that HBO is paying off their reviewers. Why the Stark contrast in perceived quality, critics? It’s kind of funny, whenever critics rate something positively expect it to be **** and them to be paid off to write good reviews.

May 16, 2019It's okey guys, the show isn't bad it just got a change of genre... to comedy...
-
Apr 29, 2019They took a piece of art and turned it into a commodity. Its all Hollywood now and the essence of the show that initially captured me is long gone. They are just trying to sycophantically please people for the interest of profit and not do anything controversial at this point.

Apr 30, 2019Good effects... bad script. Logically this became a struggle. Why do things have to be like this? I see the point to come to an end but why it became so fast and sloppy?

May 19, 2019Very mediocre writing. It's like GRRM gave them the major plot points and they slapped them into a script with as little thought as possible. Genuinely very sad for a great series to end this way.

All the hype for nothing.
So sad that the writing this season is so bad. 10/10 to the actors and production team.
0/10 to D&D

The premiere pulled everyone and everything together; it was, for the most part, an almost nostalgic hour. ... It is the competing loyalties, the loves and enmities that enmesh the Lannisters, Starks, Targaryens and the rest, after all, and the questions Game of Thrones poses about conscience and corruption and the manifestations of power, that will propel us through to the end.
-
As in season 7, the big problem with “Winterfell”—the reason it felt more like an unlucky videographer’s rendering of an exceptionally dysfunctional family reunion than like a carefully crafted story—was the pacing.
-
The show has stepped up its pacing. For the most part, that has been immensely satisfying, yielding crowd-pleasing moments that the and that the series generally avoided in the often-grim journey, especially for the Stark kids, which has led to this point.
