Apr 26, 2016Just remember these reviews from critics can vary on episode... most reviews being a one episode review... so don't ever take much stock in TV reviews. This episode was awesome, it had everything you would want from a GoT episode. Oh no... the Sand Snakes... They are awesome too... get over yourself.

Jan 21, 2017Don't let that meta score fool you. It's based on the first episode of the season which was the weakest. But It was probably the best season after season 4.

Jun 30, 2016This season was one of the best in the series so far! Can't wait until season 7! Don't understand why the score is lower this season then the previous...

Jul 30, 2016I always loved the Game of Thrones, but had started to lose patience with it a little in Series 5. But series 6... well its going to be a long year wait till the next shortened series arrives. I simply can't wait. The highlights were the end of episode 5, episode 9 gave us the best battle scene since Saving Private Ryan and the climax of the series was immense. Loved It. Thank you HBO.

Jul 31, 2016Game of Thrones is a series that requires fans to weather the bad times, while giving them very few good ones to relish along the way; so judging what's to come on just this fragment of material would be unfair. It takes its time stirring the pot before the steam lifts enough to reveal what has really been cooking.

Jun 27, 2016No season of Game of Thrones will ever be as good as the first, but this one is close. The only part that was bad was Arya's storyline. Just take a peek on Reddit and see all the people just as confused by her story as I was.
Other than that, great stuff, especially the finale. -
Apr 25, 2016El primer capitulo estuvo bien, aunque quede ocn ganas de ver mas, y me parecio que la escena de melissandre desnuda y anciana no fue muy clara, o almenos yo no la entendi.

May 25, 2016Having read all the books a couple of times, i am always appalled when they mess with the plot, but in this case, it becomes something else. so far, i am happily watching with glee, [except for the tears of anguish for Hodor's sacrifice] as usual characters in great form, and following happily along in the roles made for them, Good form!

Jul 16, 2016as always, surprised me. I am very anxious for season 7. I'm sad to be close to end, but will have a final well worthy. I hope that Daenerys won the Iron Throne.

Nov 30, 2016Season 6 is back to the fast pace the other seasons had before it (excluding the first episode). This season is incredibly satisfying as we finally see some of these story arcs coming to an end, along with epic battles which are worthy of the big screen.

Sep 10, 2017Simplemente increíble, la historia es fantástica, los personajes muy buenos (buenos y malos), la producción de la serie se nota que esta muy trabajada, sinceramente la mejor serie que vi, la recomiendo totalmente.

May 15, 2017One of my favorite seasons, along with season 1. There are lot of things to be improved but this show is really entertaining and you get attached to the characters. I wish they would spend more money on the cgi for the direwolves instead of just getting rid of them.

Oct 14, 2018Season 6 is certainly a step up from season 5, and while overall it does not top the fourth season, the last two episodes of this season are unquestionably in my top 5 favourite episodes in this show so far. This was an incredible season with shocking revelations and mind-blowing unpredictability.

Apr 9, 2020Game of Thrones's comeback was awesome, amazing plots, awesome characters and again awesome dialogue and writing, Dan Weiss and Benioff do some nice works on converging the story-lines and i am okay with it, no way they would squish 1000 pages of a book in 10 hours, they do a fine work with what they can, and GoT is their gold mine. Wish a better season than the last one.
-
Jun 27, 2020Easily containing Game of Thrones' worst narrative decisions, Season 6 is, at best, a slowburn that culminates in the best two episodes of the entire series; at worst, it's a plodding and uneven transitional season.

May 6, 2019Season six of Game of Thrones is written like crap, except that the final two climatic scenarios of this season is what made it satisfyingly good.

Feb 16, 2017A phenomenal production...GOT finally embraces its epic scale and its fantasy genre to a level that no television series has ever done or will be able to do it in the near future. Truly a masterpiece of its genre!!
-
Dec 3, 2018Predictable plot, badly paced scenes, constant feeling of indignation, lack of heroes to cheer, bad endings of initially good storylines. I think Martin's continuation of the storyline will be more interesting, then this one...

Apr 24, 2021Great great great season. I mean look at the hodor episode, the two last episodes, the dream sequences , the soundtrack, everything was great in season six of GoT.

Mar 16, 2023The sixth season of Game of Thrones suffers a few ailments along the way, losing by far the comparison with the previous three. But it remains and we are always talking about a high quality product. Episode 6x09 "Battle of the Bastards" is beyond perfect.

In short, it was an episode of Game of Thrones, a show with little interest in or aptitude for self-editing. The aspects that worked were no better-written or more artfully shot than those that fell slightly flat; they simply had a sense of urgency that was, even by the standards of a show whose premieres are slow going, was absent elsewhere.
-
Surprise has its place, and isn't mandatory in a table-setting episode like this, which did its best to catch us up on most of the characters (while skipping over the likes of Littlefinger, Sam, and Hot Pie) and show us where their stories may be headed after all that went down at the end of last season.

The bodies still pile up in a sprawling episode full of ongoing storylines, but there's a definite sense that there's hope for some of these hopeless sorts. ... [Arya's] journey, as a young woman in a severely patriarchal society, has always been extremely compelling, but with every season, she gets more agency and strength, and becomes even more captivating.
