Tired cliched premise. Terrible writing, terrible acting. Cheap crap expensively shot.

Hearing of the setting and idea for this show i was interested. But it suffers from bland writing and poor cast.

Starts off promising, but by a few episodes in it's crystal clear that the writers have no plan and are just making stuff up as they go.

It's just a great show....lots of thrills. A lot like lost but not which is good.

    Boooring.
The fist episode was good, the second was decent, the rest is just a bad soap opera. It suffers from what many shows suffer today, they have an idea for like 2-3 hours, then fill it up with, well, filler, lots of time where nothing really happens, and there are like 10 minutes of the plot (if there is one) really advancing.

Excellent show! Horrible title! The show is a wonderful drama/horror set in a small town. You will get to know and love the characters while being hooked on the mystery and suspense surrounding the monsters that prey on the townfolk. It is surprisingly great for what it is, and I highly recommend it.

When a show engages so quickly you know you have found a winner. Highly recommended!

I love the scenery. The monsters whispering outside the houses are quite scary. I'm really enjoying this show.

So far I really like it. It's like Under The Dome, but scarier and with less unclear mystery. If this was a series of books I would definitely read it.

It starts with an interesting premise, but then it becomes obvious that the writing team has absolutely no idea what is happening. Instead of slowly dropping answers to keep the audience engaged, they just pile more crap on top every episode.

Characters are badly written, and the acting is poor as well.

Extra created an account because I want to warn others about this crap.

OK, it starts really thrilling, but then .... You will realize soon that this tension is only kept up by cheap tricks. Constantly a new obscure branch is opened, constantly a new absurdity is unmasked. This also creates suspense, because one wonders how it could be resolved in the end. But the story and the acting

Constantly a new obscure branch is opened, constantly a new absurdity is unmasked. This also creates suspense, because one wonders how it could be resolved in the end. But the story and the acting is incoherent in too many places, you can't take the incidents and inconsistencies seriously very quickly, also because they are badly performed by the actors.

Each episode comes with another handful of open ends.

The acting... it's so laughable at points. Got major Lost vibes as well. Can't commit anymore time to it

Shrugging off the Lost comparisons for the most part, there is plenty of entertainment to be found in From – even if it occasionally feels more generic than some of its inspirations.

Jack Bender, the director of the first four episodes, has fun with this well-worn trope. It is the kind of show in which Jim brakes hard and says: “What the … – ?” When there is a tree blocking the road, Tabitha says: “Why is there a tree blocking the road?” It must be the storm, says Jim. “That’s one selective storm,” she replies. Of course it is, Tabitha. It is a spooky-ass zone where the laws of nature don’t apply.

    Derivative yet eerie existential thriller. [14 - 27 Feb 2022, p.7]
