May 28, 2021I would've much rather seen two hours of the friend walking around the set, talking, reminiscing and interacting with each other and guest stars of the show, and just be without the interview with the unimaginative questions, cameos from people without connection to the show and a cringy "walkway show" with costumes. Missed opportunity.

May 27, 2021Simply perfect from the beginning until the ending. I'm so emotional because I'm living again what I lived years ago.

May 27, 2021This was was just boring and didnt do anything for the brand, HBOMAX only wanted new subscribers, this wasn't an effort in the end. Lady Gaga was the only good part.

May 27, 2021Ahhh a walk down memory lane... Still sad it wasn't a reunion episode.. And why the hell did they choose james gordon? Such a waste of potential

May 30, 2021It did what it was made to. It wasn't supposed to be a new episode. It never was going to be that. So every whinny baby reviewing that this wasn't an episode get over it. The writers even said they didn't want to unravel the ending the left it on. I was supposed to reunite the cast. It was enjoyable, fun, and intelligent. (except for Justen Beiber HUGE MISFIRE on that part.)

Was Friends: The Reunion over-sentimental, clichéd and drawn out? Absolutely, but it was also the happiest two hours of television in recent memory.
-
Perhaps it’s asking too much for Friends: The Reunion to delve deeper into the production, or reveal some lascivious secrets or difficulties, or grapple more with the show’s impact on pop culture. ... In that respect, Friends: The Reunion has plenty of pleasant fluff to entertain.

The editing flits all over the place, and I suspect that’s because there’s so little substance to this endeavor. The age of streaming hasn’t been conducive to bonus material like the freewheeling commentary tracks that used to show up as DVD extras, but the nearly two hours assembled here doesn’t rise to the level of even that.
