    After s02e02... When references to the original are limited to names and easter-eggs... Nice visuals, good music, good acting, but show is chaotic, flat and and consequently dull. Bad writing and lot of gibberish. And that's enough.

    Seeing some fake positive reviews. Looks like the producers aren't too confident in their show. I was out after episode 3.

    These positive reviews are paid (in cash or kind, who knows. maybe all it takes for apple tv to get a good critic review is a free iphone). Because no way this show is good - it's really very trashy.

    Deux Mary Sue pour le prix d'une ! Elles sont dotées d'une intelligence incroyable, de facultés exceptionnelles, elles surpassent Hari Seldon dans tous les domaines, d'ailleurs c'est un vieux con dans cette deuxième saison. Vivement que l'IA prennent le job des scénaristes en grève, ils ne méritent pas leur salaire. On voit déjà sur youtube que l'IA sait dépeindre avec exactitude leDeux Mary Sue pour le prix d'une ! Elles sont dotées d'une intelligence incroyable, de facultés exceptionnelles, elles surpassent Hari Seldon dans tous les domaines, d'ailleurs c'est un vieux con dans cette deuxième saison. On voit déjà sur youtube que l'IA sait dépeindre avec exactitude le physique des personnages du Seigneur de Anneaux.     Fake positive reviews can't save the series from the catastrophy it has become neither the dividing by 50 of the audiences since the first episode. Everything from the costume, the design, to writing, the cinematography, the camera angles, the set dressing and world building is absolutely awful compared to season 1.     Espectacular primer capítulo. Increíble es que nunca pensé que pudiera haber superado lo mucho que me gustó en lo personal la primera temporada y el éxito y lo tanto que me gusto. Esta temporada creo va más allá. Los visuals, el score, la cinematografía, las actuaciones, la historia , todo todo encaja y no pudiera estás mas enganchado con la trama. Me encanta y si eres fan de Sci Fi,Espectacular primer capítulo. Increíble es que nunca pensé que pudiera haber superado lo mucho que me gustó en lo personal la primera temporada y el éxito y lo tanto que me gusto. Esta temporada creo va más allá. Los visuals, el score, la cinematografía, las actuaciones, la historia , todo todo encaja y no pudiera estás mas enganchado con la trama.     The first episode shows how this TV show has the potential to overtake the Foundation novels in modern relevancy. The Foundation TV show still has multiple gears left in it.

    Solid first episode. Really digging the brutality of some scenes. Visuals are amazing. It was kind of hard remembering everything that went down in the past season, but the next story looks promising. Hope they don't go again into corny territory.

    Good overall but, like season 1, at least one of the actresses was clearly selected based on their appearance or something, and not their acting ability.

    So far, they have done well to bring over the magic from season 1 into a captivating season 2.

    Uma série espetacular, extremamente linda e cativante. Não tem ação a todo momento e nem precisa, a história e os personagens já são o bastante para manter entretido.

    Foundation finally grew into its true potential. This sophomore season proved that patience in the first season was worth it.

    Fans of sci-fi will love this show. While the sets are a bit hokey the writing and acting are excellent as you expect from the show based on an Isaac Asimov story.

    After Season 1 attempted to establish a – well – foundation to an epic space saga that spans the whole galaxy (and showed that someone at Apple is clearly in love with Lee Pace and wants to see him naked as many times as humanly possible), here comes Season 2.

    The good: - great visuals, in true "spared no expense" fashion. - the Cleon-clones are still a clever way to keep the same    After Season 1 attempted to establish a – well – foundation to an epic space saga that spans the whole galaxy (and showed that someone at Apple is clearly in love with Lee Pace and wants to see him naked as many times as humanly possible), here comes Season 2.

    The good:
    - great visuals, in true "spared no expense" fashion.
    - the Cleon-clones are still a clever way to keep the same cast around during the series. Mann, Pace, and Bilton play their roles well.
    - Harris, Birn, and Sencindiver (Rue) are also rather good.
    - Laughland (Brother Constant) is cute and occasionally funny.

    The bad:
    - uneven performance by some of the younger cast members. They obviously struggle with a script so bad and wooden that it makes the widely derided dialog in George Lucas' Star Wars prequels sound Shakespearean by comparison.
    - the Gaal-Salvor-Tellem storyline feels forced and out of place (for now).
    - Smith (Queen Sareth) and Ghir (Poly Verisof) seem to be victims of their poorly written dialogs and bad directing.

    The ugly: even after Season 1 set quite low expectations it is still baffling how unbearably *weird* and excruciating the script is in Season 2. I have a hunch that we are experiencing the textual equivalent of the "uncanny valley," and would bet that it is a product of some generative AI – at least in part, maybe polished a bit by humans after, but still.    … Expand

    WoW! Just watched s02e09! Its becoming one of the best tv show of 2023 for me!

    “Foundation” already has enough to recommend it, thanks to rich, textured visuals and concrete world-building; married with purpose, the show may finally fully realize its aesthetic promises on the back of much-needed dramatic immediacy.

    It’s not always easy – except on the eyes, thanks to that extraordinary design – but this is sci-fi that’s worth putting the time in for. There’s nothing like a good Empire to immerse yourself in.

    Once you get past the stage setting and fake-outs, "Foundation" season 2 improves on season 1 with a narrative that eventually comes into its own and feels like time well spent.
