Season 2 Review:
In patching together Beaches-lite melodrama, newsroom comedy, coming-of-age high-school hijinks, and, least successful of all, cliffhanger-heavy mystery, Firefly Lane’s second season is less a genre hybrid than a Frankenstein-like creation built for the “Live Laugh Love” set.

Season 1 Review:
It is confusing and often maddeningly boring; it lacks a cohesive identity other than as a vehicle for Heigl and Chalke to shout and cry. Its time-hopping device, clashing emotional tones and baffling plot twists add up to something far less than the sum of its parts.
