    Noah Hawley. Mark this name, everybody, will hear that many times... Fargo's flawless 2nd season gives us, again, a dozen characters, their dilemmas, also some kind of mystery, and a lot of Coen. It is technically a perfect homage, a thrilling drama, and a dark comedy at the same time. Hawley well balanced these elements, so that everyone's got something to enjoy in this season. For me, itNoah Hawley. Mark this name, everybody, will hear that many times... Fargo's flawless 2nd season gives us, again, a dozen characters, their dilemmas, also some kind of mystery, and a lot of Coen. It is technically a perfect homage, a thrilling drama, and a dark comedy at the same time. Hawley well balanced these elements, so that everyone's got something to enjoy in this season.     This was an enjoyable season but it wasn't even close to the first in terms of quality. The reason being that the big gangster family is a little boring and no one is as hardcore as previous villains. These villains are more hokey and loser like, they aren't badasses. There are some great moments with certain actors that I loved.     This is hands down one of the best seasons of television. Changing the setting to the 70s adds a whole new flair to the show with new production designs and theming.

    Not as good as the first season, totally miss the most part of the Fargo atmosphere from movie and season one. But this is still an interesting way of narrative filled with great performances and an overall good story. The saddest part is that black comedy side is near to inexistant in this follow up. But still deserve to be seen.

    Though the first season has, in my opinion, better characters this has a better story, and better pacing. The use of the 70's music and how well structured this season is nothing short of remarkable. It will take a few episodes to get really compelling but once you get there it is a fun ride.

    Although the resolution was hasty considering all the time it took to develop the plot and the ending wasn't so convincing, the second season of Fargo was a great show. I prefer the first one but I expect good things from the third.

    Witty, resourcefull prequel of prevoius season with same dose of violence and dark humor. The final episode has some essence of Coen brothers' No country for old men.

Sem sombra de dúvidas, você fica preso na série e acaba percebendo que embora a segunda temporada seja ambientada em uma outra época em comparação com a primeira temporada, isso não fez Fargo perder a sua essência. A série ficoua primeira temporada de Fargo tinha ótimos personagens e um fascinante enredo. Enquanto a segunda temporada, a série conseguiu superar a sua incrível season1.     At least 10% better than the first season, more lively, smoother narrative, both more adventurous and more thoughtful, one of the best shows I've seen in ages.

    After just good first season I didn't expect much more from second something. But the second season is one of the best seasons of soap operas which I in general ever watched. In many respects it was helped by change of time. The plot is much deeper and more interesting, than in the first season. The only thing that has disappointed - it is the fastened subject UFO.     La segunda temporada, la que hasta ahora era mi favorita y probablemente una de mis 10 temporadas favoritas de series. Esta SO2 es mejor ya desde la primera escena con un ritmo mucho más alto, presenta a los personajes y en apenas 3 capítulos ya está cruzando y resolviendo tramas, los momento climáticos están aquí mucho mejor repartidos y el desarrollo de personajes es mejor, a pesar deLa segunda temporada, la que hasta ahora era mi favorita y probablemente una de mis 10 temporadas favoritas de series. Esta SO2 es mejor ya desde la primera escena con un ritmo mucho más alto, presenta a los personajes y en apenas 3 capítulos ya está cruzando y resolviendo tramas, los momento climáticos están aquí mucho mejor repartidos y el desarrollo de personajes es mejor, a pesar de contar con más. La temática abarca una guerra entre clanes y/o mafias con personajes vulgares por medio. Esto es lo mismo en cierto modo que la SO1 pero contado de otra manera distinta. También está presente la mayor soltura y madurez de Hawley que ya desde la primera escena de la temporada se ve que quiere ser aún más profunda en contenido. El rollito de los 80' le un punto a la serie que me encanta y la manera que entrelazan las temporadas es BRILLANTE. Desde que empiezas no quieres sino saber que va a pasar. El final de la temporada es bestia no, lo siguiente, alcanzando un clímax y una manera de narrar incríble. La BSO es de las que recuerdo permanentemente y tiene muchísima importancia en la narrativa, así como la paleta de colores. Aunque no hay personajes tan interesantes como en la S01, en lo argumental, en lo narrativo e incluso en la madurez me gusta mucho más que la primera y creo que es mejor.… Expand

    Great cinematography, directing, editing, setting, cast (Danson, Dunst, Wilson, Heart ...), sound effects and
    music. But it lacked just one thing - a great story. It was not bad. It just pales in comparison to everything else.

    One of the best seasons in television history in my eyes. Everything from the acting to the dialogue to the storytelling and filming is absolutely brilliant. Well thought out characters, funny moments, dark moments, this show has it all. Probably my favorite show since "Breaking Bad". Must see for everyone.

    Definitely worse than the first season, without a doubt.

    There's still some good acting. But the writing, UFOs, odd camera work, and excessive number of murders takes away from all the good that's there.

    Fargo season one was incredible! So when I heard of season 2 I was concerned it couldn't possible be as good.....Yet, I found that season 2 of Fargo was somehow even better! The story, the acting, and the atmosphere are truly top notch.

    If Tarantino and the Cohen brothers ever teamed up this is what you'd get! There's little else one can say about this show other than it was a piece of art. Absolute genius. The writing, the characters, the actors, the different styles, the edit and the music... oh the music! The problem is that you're eventually going to have to come back to earth... and they did.
    The only reason I didn't give it a 10... that last episode for me just didn't do it for me and it killed my buzz. Anyway, it's still a master piece!

The writing transcribes a thrilling event in which character actions seem realistic, and are also humorous. Emotion in both actors and landscape is captured beautifully. And a talented cast make thisIn the second season of fargo a prequel to the first. And a talented cast make this crime drama one that is worth experiencing.
    The Coen Brothers wrote a story that I enjoyed as much as the first season if not a bit more. They put people who may have otherwise been well off, if not for running into the wrong people at the wrong time. In a satisfying manner that'll keep you wanting to watch the whole season in one go. My favorite episode being "The Castle" it excitingly covers major plot points in the show. And I feel it was award worthy. The characters use great lines of dialog that sound realistic, and are also somewhat symbolic to make the audience think.
    The shows setting of the small town Luverne, Minnesota is one not used often, to provide a break from the usual New York or California. It takes a turn for the worse when the Gerhardt family brings crime. It's citizens were used to a more laid back life. I enjoyed the 70s time period which the film crew designed well with the right clothing, old fashioned tvs, and vehicles from that era. And icons such as Ronald Reagan add to the realism of the show.
    Every character provides an interesting element to the story. I felt for the Blumquists, as they got themselves involved with the Gerhardts, who are the main antagonists. The small town police are not used to the crime over the course of the show. And you do not know whether to side with them or the Blumquists as they pursue the somewhat innocent couple. My favorite character was Hanzee a Native American who lives with the Gerhardt family he is involved with a lot of the bloodshed taking place in the show.
    The midwest characters were played well even if slightly exaggerated. Jesse Plemons shows his acting capabilities as Ed Blumquist, going from the villainous Todd character from "Breaking Bad" to the kind hearted butcher. Kirsten Dunst plays Eds wife Peggy Blumquist adding humor and innocence to the housewife. And I found their performance as a couple fun to watch as they struggle to fix the situation they're in. Ted Danson captures the nice manner of Sheriff Hank Larsson believably, and delivered lines of dialog in a stoic manner which he was the appropriate actor to give.
    Fargo's cinematography is some of the best I've seen on tv. The wintery small town was a relaxing setting for violent gun/fist fights. Its similar to the good camera work used in "Breaking Bad." I appreciated the crews use of filters that gave a 70s feel to its photography. And all the little touches added to its visuals. Conversations and arguments between characters were recorded with angles to make you feel immersed with the action.
    I am excited to see what the crew behind fargo will make next, and how they will present it. Maybe it'll be set in the 50s to have post world war 2 veterans involved with crime. Or they can bring it back to the 90s like in the movie. Either way I'm sure that season 2 was a learning experience for the the team and they will top it in season 3.    … Expand

    With extraordinary performances from the amazing and established cast, and excellent writing, Fargo season 2 is clearly one of the best sets of episodes of the year!

    This Season is An example of correctly rehashing An environment without making it feel stale and the same can be said by it's plot.Also,the time and place has A lot to do in the positive for this Season as it proves no matter what time and place A Television show is placed there is always violence around every corner.This time around,I believe the characters are more fleshed out andThis Season is An example of correctly rehashing An environment without making it feel stale and the same can be said by it's plot.Also,the time and place has A lot to do in the positive for this Season as it proves no matter what time and place A Television show is placed there is always violence around every corner.This time around,I believe the characters are more fleshed out and examined more than the overall plot.So,basically you care more about each character than their individual actions.Each character is in A gigantic play and you are really invested in each one and want to see each ones beginning and end as opposed to the last Season where the overall story arch focused more on one particular individual.There were characters in Season One where I didn't care either way what happened,however in Season Two through the fantastic Writing and focus on each and every character's backstory and future,whether they are bad or good you are invested in seeing every facet of those characters.Even in shows that I think are quite good like Breaking Bad for example,I only felt the struggles of Walter White and basically could have care less what happened to Saul Goodman or Jesse Pinkman.I love how it felt as if you were transported to another time and place that felt foreign and strange to Me,yet once I settled down in and got started with the journey,I felt immediately part of the narrative.By the end of the Season,I felt such An Adrenaline rush (especially the last two Episodes) that I had never felt for any amount of characters in any other Series that I can remember in recent memory.You won't hear any Spoilers from Me,but suffice to say,there is A strong connection that becomes apparent and that's all I will say.So,I definitely recommend you check out this Season and I promise you from the start of the first Episode there will not be one moment of regret you will have starting A Journey of complicated people in what seems to be A more less complicated time and place.… Expand

    Fargo gives me great joy to see just how far television has come since 90's and early 00's sitcoms. If the first season blew you away with its cast and storyline, the second season is just as mesmerizing, if not more. I am having a difficult time choosing between the two seasons, but I cannot wait for the third season. For anyone with an interest in good television, this series is a must watch.

    This is the only show with the ability to unseat Breaking Bad as the best TV show ever. One more season like the last two, and it's got the title. It's that good. I never would've thought it was possible, but season two is even better than season one. Season one was 10/10, and season two is 11/10.

    Don't write reviews much, but had to on this. Season 1 and 2 of this show are one of the best TV shows I've seen in the last 10 years. This show, as others have said, is very much in the spirit of Breaking Bad.

    Of particular note, Billy Bob Thornton does a phenomenal job as the villain in season 1.

    Given how good season 1 was, I did not expect season 2 to be better...but it is. Everything in this season was amazing and top-notch. The visuals, the sounds, the dialogue, the direction, the pacing, the themes, the characters, the story, the music...this is without a doubt one of THE BEST seasons of any television show ever.

    Fun and fresh, rapid, well-conceived. One of my most favorite shows this year. Execution is smooth and development better paced than Blacklist, which I also like, though it has fallen off a bit. Most of my preferred programming is off network but this is an exception. I am perplexed by some of the reviews.

    The story is muddier and more complex than last season’s, full of halfway nice and semi-awful people rather than the purely good and bad. Every episode starts with a ’70s jam and a jaunty split screen. The Midwestern accents are inconsistent and strange, but that only makes them funnier.

    The second season of Fargo is just as fantastic as the first. And viewers who didn't catch the first season can easily slide into the second. Some nuances will be lost, but those are minor compared to how good this series is.... Hawley and his writers' greatest strength is incredible control of tone and atmosphere.
