RobertSMar 17, 2006This show is brilliant and fun. Although it pays its respect to its predecessor, it isn't bogged down by it. In terms of broad appeal, family friendliness and thrills, this is easily one of the best fantasy dramas on television in years. Thank you, BBC, and thank you Sci Fi Channel!

JohnDMar 17, 2006This is an amazingly successful relaunch of the beloved sci-fi series - both conceptually and commercially. Give it a try! Just don't be scared off by the first episode ("Rose"), which is the weakest of the season.

ScotFMar 17, 2006It's quite the show to watch. It's clever and entertaining, and a fresh kind of show that Americans are not used to seeing.

JenniferKMar 16, 2006Best adventure SF show I've seen in ages. Excellent update on an old classic (better than Battlestar Galactica). Just the kind of show I can enjoy with my family (kids, spouse and parent). It's Harry Potter and Star Wars meets Buffy and Farscape. Hope to see it continue for many more seasons. Bravo to SciFi for finally picking this series up!

Silly, sophomoric stuff that is sure to please its television audience.
-
Some of the pop-culture humor and creatures owe a nod to "Farscape," but the camp level is high and can be mighty funny.

If you're looking for allegorical, intriguing science fiction, this isn't it. If you're OK with rapid-fire, light-hearted dialogue with an occasional dig at politics and culture, this "Doctor Who" is your cup of tea.
