Django isn’t terrible, just sluggish and woozy – there are times it feels like trudging ankle-deep through blood-splattered sand.

Django will make for a good distraction if you’re into classic Westerns, but if you’re looking for complex morality plays, you’re probably out of luck.

This series is underwhelming and over-complicated. Having an international cast (it is an Italian-French co-production) contributes to the lack of coherence. Or maybe the dislocated, dystopian feel is deliberate. I couldn’t tell you.
