This mockumentary echoes last year’s Death to 2020 (my review), which was actually better. That could be because 2020 was so much more horrible, but it’s probably because the show isn’t as funny. Don’t get me wrong, this satirical look back at the year is still entertaining (and sometimes informative). Some well known actors have a great times playing characters who are clueless: Hugh Grant (returning), Tracey Ullman (returning as a newscaster), Lucy Liu and Stockard Channing. There are other interviews with equally dense “ordinary people” to provide more irony. Even though the jokes don’t equal last year, there’s still plenty to enjoy in this snappy satire. Expand

This is my first review where I feel like giving a 0. It builds on the original format by Charlie Brooker, not involved in this, to deliver a leftist politically-charged propaganda piece. Seen in the last minutes of the year 2021, I was expecting a documentary about the crucial events in the world, told in a more serious note, but as the documentary was unfolding, I saw many speakers were funny or ironical.

Seen in the last minutes of the year 2021, I was expecting a documentary about the crucial events in the world, told in a more serious note, but as the documentary was unfolding, I saw many speakers were funny or ironical.

It was a good recap though, which can tell how different social classes think and which makes you think again about what's good or bad in the world right now.
