The overall package is something else: mean, mordant and murderously amusing entertainment, whipped up with a devil’s grin.

While it’s Eddie and Dulcie that command the storyline, a menagerie of brilliantly written and acted townsfolk and lower-ranking police round out the picture beautifully.

Deadloch is a show that doesn’t make fun of murder, but has a lot of fun with the people investigating the murders, along with everyone who might be a suspect, and does so in a pretty entertaining way.
