Fun and entertaining but nonsensical and plagued with a weak villain, Season 3 of “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” is a mixed bag as always.

So far it's been painfully cheesy and incredibly boring. I'll update the score as the show goes on, but at the moment it's a huge let-down after that excellent second season

While I wouldn't say Legends is a very good show, it is definitely the most 'fun' of the superhero shows out there. This show doesn't take itself too seriously, and that's what makes it and the characters in it likeable in my opinion. It's probably the most "silver age" superhero show out there, considering all kinds of crazy can happen in an episode.

What it also does better than some

What it also does better than some of the other DCU shows, is that it makes you care about the characters. I actually care one of the member's died (still hoping time travel finds a way to remedy that, but it seems that won't be used) I care that another one has seemingly left because of it. I'm very happy to see Captain Cold return, but damn, I'll miss those 2 characters who helped build a fun dynamic.

So yeah, not a great or ground breaking show, but it doesn't need to be. I like it well enough.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Season 3 ep17.... This was such a let down from a show that has become boring and dull with each episode... but this did it for me... the "Obama Care" line accompany with a Chimpanzee Grodd actually saying "lets make America Grodd again"...was the biggest **** and cringe I have ever seen on a TV-Show after the live Big Brother shows...OMG...in the middle of the Sinclair Scandal and looking at what is happening to SJW Marvel and the downfall of Star Wars...and WB/DC decides to keep at it...pushing some more political ideology punches....I say **** You DC... I had it.... **** your black lightning and **** your Supergirl and your Obama Care and your "lets make america Grodd again... I'm done with your show. Expand

Time travel is a sub genre of sci fi that’s always appealed to me and that’s what keeps me coming back to this show. Unfortunately the majority of the characters are too flat and the plots too formula to allow this show to excel.

This season the team has been turned into legendary screw ups - which imo makes everything so much worse. Now they’ve resurrected Damien Dahrk, one of my least

This season the team has been turned into legendary screw ups - which imo makes everything so much worse. Now they’ve resurrected Damien Dahrk, one of my least favorite characters from Arrow.. I’ll give this a few more episodes out of love for the subject matter but if this doesn’t get a lot better quickly, it’s no longer going to be on my DVR record list.

Addendum: Basically stopped watching this farce. I see CW has put a blanket renewal on most of their lineup. Sad. This one needed to go.

This season is an absolute garbage! No logic, no common sense, no entertainment! How Greg Berlanti is still have his high-paid job is still a mystery to me. Even a 12 years old would do a better job.

The show was exciting and had a good premise in the science fiction realm. Needless to say, the writers insist on seeing how far they can push their liberal left agenda with open sex and adultery, gratuitous homosexuality, casting the creator into the role of an evil presence, and uncaring sarcastic commentary. All the behaviors that make life worth living! Well, we are living in the end days of Judgment so I guess this all seems 'normal'. Expand

Dc Legends of Tomorrow confirms in it's third season that it maintains it's place as the best "Arrowverse" show for another year. While none of the CW superhero shows can be said to be fantastic or artwork, this show at it's best is way better that what Warner has produced to the big screen. So all in all another fun year and excited for season 4 ( now with 100% more Constantine, WOO!!) Expand

A perfect series of television, they had a lot of fun week-to-week adventures and a great overarching story. Mostly everything was at its finest this year, watch it!

The actors did just as expected from this mid budgeted series, expect for the emotional scenes which where terribly awkward for a couple of actor's performances. But the actions scenes where all right with the on spot choreography. The directing style was shaking as used to which can make the viewers head spin a couple of times because of the insane amount of cuts there are in the heat of a fight. The characters where developed very well, a couple of them having their own themed episodes as well but is not overdone and exaggerated with to much screen time, so it''s just on spot. The humor was very good with all the fresh and new pop culture references, sarcasm and charismatic antagonist. I loved that through out the season the entertainment value does not fade and keep the viewer engaged and wanting more after each episode, also the fact helps that they cut down to 18 episodes and made it more compact than a 22 episode season. The plot was very messy and twists and turns where done correctly, despite one or two really minor plot holes which didn't get filled and where left unexplained but they get away with it because time travel is complex and messy. They also managed do avoid being cliche even though we've seen some plot turns already in the arrow-verse. But in the end the cheesy feeling of CW's shows was there and did not mange to dodge that one.
The life lesson is there and it's solid although very simplistic and unoriginal. So overall it is a good season for Legends of Tomorrow, which was excellently spiced with the Earth-X crossover episodes, but it could have been so much better if the directing style and the god awful CGI where better and the plot could have been executed with more cunning/ creativity.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Season 3 straight-up starts with the bang that the previous season left at, and is pretty much the guarantee that the show will never go back to those pathetic roots of Season 1. The Legends fight Julius Caesar here, fight the Vietnam War and once again, take on Damien Darhk who, this time around, is an actual threatening villain. New characters like Nora and Zari are introduced who bring a lot to the table. I really liked that episode where Zari is stuck in a time loop and has one hour before the ship explodes. The ending of this season is the greatest in the entire show, as we get to see the big baby in action - Beebo! I really felt like kissing him on the cheeks because of how adorable he is. Finally in the end Rip Hunter sacrifices himself in a sorrowful death, and Constantine joins in. Expand

Sara gets the team back together and they all hatch a plan to steal back the Waverider, so this all feels more like preparation for the new status quo rather than a rushed half-step into what will assuredly be a slew of misadventures across time. Legends has always reveled in its potential, and it’s getting much better at realizing its strengths on what must be a micro-managed budget at this point.
