Stylish but pointless with a hastily written conclusion that doesn't satisfy

I really enjoyed it reminded me of Zombieland but most of all, the entire high school vibe and it remind me alot of recess the animated series.

Funny, Great references, a good plot isnt the best series out there but there's a lot of things that Teenagers can relate.

It started well but it gets lost very fast, especially because the characters are not so interesting. Its conclusion is quite anticlimatic and lacks solidity. I reached the end but my interest was definitely null.

If there's a second season,

If there's a second season, I will weigh the idea of seeing it a lot.

Una prima stagione sempre avvincente e mai noiosa. Stra consigliata se si vuole guardare una serie tv che non deluda

tldr this show is bad and I felt bad watching it. do yourself a favor and don't watch it.

this show is clearly just the accumulation of every bad cliche that are up on the American high school movies/series since the 90s. the "unpopular" loner with "no friends" witch despite his lack of friend is written as charismatic and is just a normal fragging person. But all the other students are living cliche that nobody can relate to except the main boy and main girl because nobody is a cliche irl. worst of all "he is not like the others of his age" despite being exactly like anybody that went to high school in their lives.

the creator and writers clearly aren't a survivalist witch is a big flaw for anyone trying to write something apocalyptic. instead of basing themselves off real life they did the sin of basing fiction over fiction that was based in fiction. the weapons people use are a really bad that tries to look cool. its style over substance. but in this case efficient weapons are cooler than inefficient weapons that looks cool.

pop culture references are cringe. especially when its fragging useless. "i don't know but I play sombra from overwatch" *insert can laughing* so what does this bring to the story? absolutely nothing except either making people roll their eyes or say "eeehuhuhu I play overwatch so itz funnay". the very first checkov's gun was really really bad. they think we are idiots so they repeated 4 times that some people are allergic to nuts... but they were unable to fit that in a way that makes sense so they made the funky principal start by saying that...

the random woke thing that appear here and there is so forced and so bad its almost laughing at itself. "wow isn't that cool that he identifies as a sea horse" no its not its woke sjw bullcrap.

Decent production value, and the acting is not terrible. The writing; however, is garbage. I'm in my early 20s and I understand maybe 1/20th of the references in this show. I'm in my early 20s and I understand maybe 1/20th of the references in this show. It plays very much like what it is, a tv show written by 40+ year olds trying to talk like 17 year olds. It had a ton of potential but all the slang that is forced down your throat in an effort to make the show appeal to a younger audience but in the end all it does is alienate older generations and confuse younger ones. This show would be like a 50 year old cop dressing up like a 14 year old pretending to go to college to catch kids buying weed. Expand

The writers have a clear affinity for 1990s-2000s teen movie tropes, but their obsession with mapping Mean Girls high school dynamics onto a Gen-z-er cultural landscape ends up feeling dated and out-of-touch. Millennials seem to be convincedThe writers have a clear affinity for 1990s-2000s teen movie tropes, but their obsession with mapping Mean Girls high school dynamics onto a Gen-z-er cultural landscape ends up feeling dated and out-of-touch. Millennials seem to be convinced that the only gap between them and current high schoolers is slang, leaving them unable and unwilling to examine the real and meaningful differences in social dynamics between the two generations. Sure, the point of the show was not to represent an emotionally competent reality post-nuclear war, but at that point shoe-horning stereotypical "gen-z" concepts into a millennial high school fantasy wasteland just works to make the world even more disjointed and disorienting. Probably the biggest issue with the generational gap is a complete misunderstanding of youth humor. Millennials write jokes making fun of teens, but teens don't make jokes making fun of themselves. They make fun of boomers. Come on comedy writers writing about teens! Expand

There are small slivers of comedy but the story makes no sense. People behave in arbitrary ways and basically follow a story that's made up on the fly. It also contains an insane amount of wokeness that detracts from the story at every turn. There are small slivers of comedy but the story makes no sense. Only Netflix would throw money away on something this ridiculous. So suprise suprise, there's also no season 2. It's just a waste of time and money. Expand

Even though I don't watch TV Shows I enjoyed this one. It was funny, entertaining and story was pretty good too. This series was meant to be cancelled, it feels like it was created anyway and that's what I felt watching it.

The show had so much potential and some interesting characters but by the time I got to episode 4 the amount of woke nonsense that has been shoehorned in had gotten to the point that it just wasn't worth watching any further
