This special is great. Both parts. Comedy for me is a place where you can escape the censored world and make fun about the crazy stuff you see.. Nothing said was mean spirited. It was a little raw, but never mean. If you can remember Sam kenison, you are going to love this. The world today is a little too uptight. I'm just glad a comedian has the balls to go "there". This is an okay act. I wouldn't say it's the strongest of Dave Chappelle's bits, it's not as strong as his old act. But it's okay. Starts pretty well, weak mid, and strong closing.

A very funny comedy special that is expertly crafted and a great return to form from one of comedy's greatest legends. He tackles everything from race to sex.

The best thing about Dave Chappelle is that he doesn't give a **** about what the press says about him. He is good, regardless of what any rating system or metacritic score says about his standup. If you want an entertaining and thought provoking hour of entertainment, give it a shot and make up your own damn mind.

This was classic Dave Chappelle - hasn't missed a beat. Had a lot of good material to go on and wasn't afraid to make fun of himself in the process. Glad to see the audience love it and Dave (as expected) was not afraid to speak his mind, whatever words for flowing. A treat for anyone who loved Chappelle Show.

Great to see Dave Chappelle have not lost his touch for comedy after such long absence, would be great if we can see more short skits like the Time Haters. Either way, I will not go into spoilers but definitely a show worth checking out!

loved it, its a great long awaited, and slightly needed comeback, he's the same controversial, and offensive standup comic we knew back in 2004 an this will supply plenty of laughs

Chappelle slew his SNL monologue. He went on a few talk shows and his interviews were REALLY funny. So, maybe my 'expectations' were a little high, cause even though he delivers some genuinely funny comedy in his special, and he does fine, IDK I was just expecting to get my socks blown off, and to have need an oxygen mask to make it trough the laughing.
IMO it was one of Chappelle's

IMO it was one of Chappelle's main reason for quitting back in 03-05. I think part of him knew he couldn't 'deliver'. I mean that is honorable, turning down a free Scrooge McDuck fortune just because you are scared you can't give the fans what they desire.

Dave is a master of his craft IMO, one of my favorites of all time.
But, Mr. Chappelle if you are reading this(first, you are smart) consider being more than only a comedian, I mean, you have the persona to be today's Martin Luther King, Or someone like that. Do not be scared to 'get serious' and blow people's minds with reality, instead of leaning only on comedy to sway the listerners. Just an opinion, from a nobody, who really thinks you are a top notch talent, and a very unique and gifted human being. The higher ups have given you much, and you are very aware that MUCH is required.

Chappelle's honesty and earnestness elevates him above the rest. I find it interesting to hear the truth about his whereabouts and his take on modern culture. His perspective on the generations were also funny and insightful.

1st episode: a lot of awkward moments and very little funny jokes. It was cringeworth watching it with my SO. The Cosby had a couple funny moments and the OJ one had very little moments.

2nd episode: was a lot better specially with Kevin Hart jokes and the blackmail jokes. Some awkward moments but over all the second episode was a hit. Conclusion: Without the very famous skits

    Conclusion:

Without the very famous skits that he had from Comedy Central hit series, expect some awkward moments and unwitty politcal jokes. 70% of the contents are awkward, banal, hackneyed, and underwhelming that should have been his famous skits. Only 30% are funny and memorable. This kind of platform (straight up stand up) is not well suited for Dave Chappelle. What made him popular and a genius comedian were his funny and original skits.

It's not overly funny but it's not boring. In fact, The Age of Spin is somewhat honest as Dave talks about how life once was versus how it is. The jokes are good, but Dave doesn't exactly get into a hilarious groove. That's fine for me. It's nowhere near the best standup I've seen - nowhere near the best Dave has been, but it's great to see him back in the comedy game and hopefully this isIt's not overly funny but it's not boring. I like The Age of Spin more than Deep in the Heart of Texas but both of them are great and it´s almost unfair to other comedians and their specials to compete

It wasn't exactly the feel good stand up I was hoping for. There are some funny hits, but there are also some misses that are just awkward. He kind of comes off disgruntled and insensitive to the easily offended (I wouldn't recommend watching this with your mom) often touching on subjects that are definitely not light hearted (jokes about Nicole Simpson being murdered for example). He's on the top of his game. His rhythm is not unlike jazz or a skilled lyricist. I'm glad we have Dave back in our living rooms. Between his topical "rants" and nonstop callbacks this had me in tears from beginning to end.

Dave Chappelle manages to go into some pretty heavy topics and still make it funny, without it being awkward. Great pacing. Great crowd. Funny jokes.

This was a great way of showing that Dave Chappelle still has it.

Though they’re wildly different shows, the strengths and weaknesses of Chappelle’s comedy comeback are consistent in each.

When all is said and done, these specials are most assuredly worth your time. They are excellent representations of the art form of standup comedy, delivered by a master of his craft.

Both hours are full of sharp material on subjects ranging from Bill Cosby (it’s complicated) to Chappelle meeting O.J. Simpson (four times!) to why he once ditched a fundraiser in Flint, Michigan, to attend the Oscars (short answer: Chris Rock). Still, after a decade away from churning out content for the masses,Chappelle doesn’t seem very sure of what those masses want or expect from him anymore--and those are the moments when his specials are at their hilarious best and questionable worst.
