    Dates is a tad precious--a little too smart for its own good.

    There’s little action in Dates. It’s about language, verbal and nonverbal. When the words are this good, that’s enough.

    It’s not a game-changer or first-rate through and through. But it is an interesting and very nicely acted look at online daters meeting for the first time.
