Seems a less man's version of walking dead but only seeing ep 1 is a bit limiting to give a proper review. The story seems interesting and the characters seem to have some depth to them. As the series develops it will be interesting to see what happens to those inside and outside.

I ma giving a 7 just as a place holder, I feel it has some good points and with time these can get better.

I really enjoyed it, had a great real time based narrative and really interesting real world based show. They did muck up an timeline edit in the hospital but we can look past that. Real fresh looking forward to next week. Unlike the Walking Dead this could actually happen.

Oh wow. I recommend this show to everybody.

This show has a very well done ominous feeling far from the obvious on how everything has been and is being developed. That crescendo feel towards that tension you are getting towards what will happen to every character you are getting to know. It got me hooked from the very first riot scene. This show looks and feel very real. I don't feel

This show looks and feel very real. I don't feel this immersed in all honestly since "The day after tomorrow" and that was a movie.

Outstanding pilot. Loved how everyone of the important characters intertwined between each other in some of the scenes.

Recommended this with my eyes closed. This show is a gem hope it doesn't get cancelled and it gets renewed and it continues.

First of all...you cant expect too much from CW to begin with . The bar is real, REAL low for them. That being said, this show is probably the most interesting on that channel. It has very few likable characters. It has alot of splinter stories from the main arc that are used as filler too much and drag on for too many eps.

However, its still worth a watch as long as you have some way

However, its still worth a watch as long as you have some way to fast forward thru the filler. Once you do that you get a decent story. One thats been told countless times but still worth a watch IMO. Basically people doing what they do to each other now, just in greater quantities .

I really recommend the show. Whether or not it is, it all seems very realistic to me. And then there are all those near misses where the characters we follow almost meet or interact at times as strangers, which really adds to the whole everyone-has-their-own-problems-and-perspective thing. As a fan of the Walking Dead, this show really fills the void left behind by the end of the season. Expand

Everyone has a right to there opinions. I enjoy show and I really like it. It's different than any other show I watched. I found out, they can't returning for second season that's junk though. I look forward to watch Containment every week on Tuesday night's. I hope show move to Hulu or Netflix.

Matt from TV Guide summed it up best: Plagued by mediocre writing and stubbornly dull acting, this unpleasant misfire feels like slow death as it spins out subplots from Disaster Movie 101.
I couldn't have written a better comment. Just terrible.

Abandonei.

This is the worst piece of crap on TV. Those reviews that scored it high were paid or blind. Writer blames muslim for plague spreading. City barricades area only to assign a few cops not army? One food drop by international aid group happens after people starve in city full of resources? Then white cops put down their weapons to black robbers who take all food boxes in a little truck? Big scary scene showing unwashed child looking at empty water bottles in city full of working water taps? Single woman faces basement biker gang while two guys sit upstairs, saying whatever? And emergency food boxes contain turkey tetrazinni, really? Cop tells teacher he burnt a little girls body and she like 'what about my day'? Women in charge are protrayed as bossy and stupid. This script is so bad, unbelievable, and incompetent that its almost funny. This is yet again another waste of resources. How many racist sexist 'get rich off trash' executives have to die off in this industry before real writers and producers can show America great TV? And the worst part of this is the high reviews that were given because they show the low level of crap and corruption we expect from the media. Were pathetic just like this sickly sweet luke warm pile of doo doo. Expand

Love this kind genre but this is low budget crap and should never have seen the light of day if you are going to try and compete with the current offerings the producers could have at least upped the budget and made the script a bit more bevelible

I have never written a review of a show but felt that I needed to vent. Given the high quality TV shows that are out there, i am amazed that a show this stupid was able to make it fora full season. I did in fact watch the entire season as I wanted to see how ridiculous the writers could be. I must say that the writers must think that thee intelligence of the viewer is quite low. So many flaws and unrealistic events... I expect this in 80's action shows but not in this day and age. Only good thing is that the show has not been renewed.

I really enjoyed this show. The acting is top notch and has some gut-wrenching moments I wasn't expecting. A perfect show for anyone who's okay with a little gory scenes and okay for the story to be tied up in one season.

Undemanding viewers (not a judgment) may find Containment diverting nonetheless. If nothing here seems the least real, the series' flaws, from its underpowered budget to its overripe dialogue, are those of innumerable, sometimes beloved B-, C- and D-grade pictures before it — not excluding the high-toned epigrams, from Socrates and Matthew and such that introduce each episode with a sheen of classy meaning.

None of this qualifies as breezy spring/summertime entertainment. Still, if apocalyptic drama is your entertainment of choice, then Containment might well keep you contented.
