    Pretty good, but I wish the main character didn't do so many stupid things because it really breaks the illusion of him being a smart guy. Same thing about running ... don't run like that.

    Terrible adaptation of the Robert Redford/Faye Dunaway movie. In this iteration there is no mystery- the bad guys are revealed within the first episode and everything's been dumbed down. The reason why the movie version was so compelling was because he had no idea why he was being hunted, and the audience went along his journey to find out why. Here, everything is spoon fed in advance, andTerrible adaptation of the Robert Redford/Faye Dunaway movie.     The dialogue is atrocious- everybody says Joe Turner isn't "kinetically qualified" to escape a very awkward assassination attempt, and the main character has even less personality than in the movie version. Kinetically qualified? WTF?

    Even the bad guys are just so cliched, incompetent, and psychopathic they lack any style or substance whatsoever. Skip this.    … Expand

    Condor was just right, consider that the analyst had never dreamed that his entire office would be killed. He was a desk jockey, but now he had to go up against professional assassins. Other reviewers would think that Condor did a lot of stupid things, and they did not think that was right for the character.     The Joe-and-Kathy relationship in the show is an improvement on the film’s, in both plausibility and tone. ... Condor, rewiring the anxieties of classic paranoid thrillers for contemporary nervous systems, presents every citizen’s sense of isolation as the product of a state overrun with double-dealing.

    The end product lacks a certain verve. ... Condor is an honorable effort, thoughtfully made even when it’s struggling to differentiate itself from similar projects that came before.

    As the plot lines stretch this way and that and back into the past, the main thread--there is one--can get a little lost. Still, the parts themselves make sense, even when you can’t recall how they fit together.
