A disgusting comparison between slave trade and NFL picking starts off the series. In general, a brain washing series to demonstrate the "evil white people". A huge no from me

Wow, horribly self aggrandizing pos. I would recommend doing almost anything else with your time besides wasting brain cells and electricity playing this.

It's naked Black liberation propaganda that pushes a "progressive" agenda aimed for a low intellect and ignorant audience. The primary target audience is teens since it centers around a teenage Kaepernick and his struggles to find identity and purpose. The story is presented in immature way since it made for children. The lessons within are distorted from reality that are designed to fit the "progressive" narrative that White people are intently racist. This extends from his White adopted parents, to his coaches, to police, to even the clerks at hotels. The world they present in ~2005 Southern California is a racist wasteland of oppressive hatred that aims to exploit and suppress Black people. There is literally a moment or two in every episode of jaw dropping cringe. The horrific aspect to this show is that the kids that do watch this will walk away believing that White people, no matter how good they might appear, are evil and devoid of value. And that Black people are rich in culture and noble as they walk through life. This show is a racist propaganda disguised as a garbage fairytale. Avoid. Expand

Ava Duvernay and Colin Kapernick should be ashamed for spreading their narcissistic and hateful race-dividing propaganda.

Race hustling has entered a whole new dimension. A propaganda puff piece for a biracial failing NFL player who is whiter than 99% of blacks and even some whites.

This series had excellent narration and a very strong cast of actors. I enjoyed knowing about the life of young Colin. I do wish they would continue this series to cover his college and professional career. Bravo!

Good series showing parts of Colin's story that we didn't know. And it also gave some knowledgeable history nuggets throughout. I must see series especially for young black males.

It is a powerful examination of racism seen through the eyes of a mixed race boy growing up in white America. It’s raw, direct and heartbreaking and has all the subtlety of a sledgehammer. But then again racism is scarcely subtle. Watch it. I dare you not to be moved. Expand

Peek into the academic prowess, true friendship between young men, finding your identity, navigating adult pressures without emotional responses, and respect for young women in Season 1.
