    This is a budget TV show. They had a huge budget; too much money to do anything relevant with it. So they squandered it all in everything possible and impossible.
    What they didn't spend any time, money, or effort on, was the script.

    I'm currently watching the last episode and I feel compelled to tell others not to waste their time. The show is ridiculous yet tries to play it straight, which just makes it straight up ridiculous. Avoid.

    Okay, the first 3 episodes were kinda fun with some pretty good action. BUT THEN it got bogged down in an overly convoluted plot and a dreary dour tone, also, the further in you got the less big-budget action you got, and it felt like the show ended on a pretty sad little whimper instead of the bang I was hoping for. BUT THEN they have the audacity to promote another season ( next year )Okay, the first 3 episodes were kinda fun with some pretty good action. BUT THEN it got bogged down in an overly convoluted plot and a dreary dour tone, also, the further in you got the less big-budget action you got, and it felt like the show ended on a pretty sad little whimper instead of the bang I was hoping for. BUT THEN they have the audacity to promote another season ( next year ) based on another dreary story in their silly spy universe when the first story didn't even feel fully wrapped up - 3 stars for the first 3 kinda fun episodes… Expand

    Mon dieu que c'est nul, j'ai pas réussi à terminer cet étron hors de prix. Chez Amazon on paie ses employés une misère pour dépenser des millions dans des séries woke insipides qui bouffent de la bande passante et polluent un max avec les datacenters. Pour le bien de la planète, supprimez ces séries que sont les Anneaux de Pouvoir et Citadel.

    Citadel undoubtedly needed more time to set itself up, let its stories cook, and better deliver the global ramifications of an epic spy thriller, but with capable leads, a schlocky but irresistible romance, and slick action beats, it can be forgiven (a little) for its focus on style over substance. An anticlimactic finale delivers the series’s greatest twist, setting up    Final Thoughts:

    Subtlety, be damned: if spy thrillers are your bag, this show is stylish, full throttle and knows how to have a good time.

    Some great action sequences and very charismatic stars go a long way, but that might not be enough to anchor the sprawling franchise Amazon is so ambitiously building.

    The absence of substantive ideas, or even much Bond-style humor, makes Citadel feel pretty pointless. Maybe it’s possible to make a great show that appeals to everyone without offending anyone, but this isn’t it.
