I gave it a shot, I watched 5 episodes then I had enough. She tries too hard to be funny and really isn't. I've never seen a more horrible "show" it's terrible at best. She's arrogant, obnoxious, and makes alcohol misuse into a joke. She uses her so called famous "friends" to get viewers as I wouldn't tune into this woman (whom I had never heard of before this) without them. Maybe she just needs to get a house far out in the country with her dogs and leave the rest of the world alone. Expand

There is a privileged laziness that keeps Chelsea from being a Lenny Bruce or a Bill Hicks or a George Carlin. She has the comic timing and no-one can take that away from her, but the pretense that she has any insight into what she is commenting on, enough to turn it into a mirror on society the way these other brilliant comedians were able to, is clueless at best, arrogant at worst. I used to like her, but after sitting through this self-indulgent, unfunny mess of poorly edited derivative television I have become very uninterested in watching her again. Maybe that is a blessing since there are so many more important issues in the world than anything she wastes my time turning into a way to get attention for herself! Expand

I fail to understand why anyone thinks that Chelsea Handler is entertaining. She's is certainly a poor role model for young women. Personally who cares what Handler does?

Strangely does not make Handler out to be the sharpest of people. She seems overmatched and out thought by most of the topics and the randomness makes the episode seem like they weren't thought out.

Let's just get a camera, bring up a sensitive topic and bam! Let Chelsea take over. The result is thin and flat, unusual for Chelsea.

Chelsea tries a little too hard in these episodes which seem to drag on, plotless and unmotivated. She often comes across as your entertaining middle-aged aunt ranting about something that really isn't original or creative. Yes, the self-absorbed and "I don't like other people just my pets" schtick is a staple for many comedians, but in this series you'll see her use that a walker. I would suggest she try harder, but it seems like these episodes were her doing exactly that. Thank God there were only four. Expand

I flew through these. I never watched her talk show but heard good things about "Chelsea Does." I'm glad I listened and gave it a chance. Chelsea reminds me of my hilarious, strong-willed, opinionated friends, which makes her a perfect candidate for taking viewers on a journey about love, drugs, technology, and racism. While you don't always agree with her, when she covers a topic, she hits all angles. It may be reality, but it's not one of those where you're questioning if moments are scripted. Chelsea is real, and so are the people she chooses to delve into these subjects with. I laughed a lot, and even cried. Keep an open mind and "Chelsea Does" is a fun experience that opens the door of self reflection. It's a bit like hanging out with a friend, the one that can piss you off sometimes and who may not know it all, but is going on the journey with you, flaws and all. Expand

I love how Chelsea Does Racism contrasts racism that is funny with racism that is definitely NOT funny. When racist beliefs justify and beget pain and violence there is no room for laughter. and this point is illustrated brilliantly. Thanks for your bravery and unique humor Chelsae!

Chelsea Does is a solid attempt at tackling some important issues and controversial topics, including racism, Silicon Valley, marriage and drugs. For the most part, Chelsea tries her best to respect the people involved and learning as much as she can about the various topics, while also throwing in her usual Chelsea humor amidst the chaos to lighten up the topics. I am 3 episodes in, don't know how many there are, but I like it. Seems to be getting **** on...I almost turned it off when I saw on episode 2 she had that kardashian F-wit on, but, I made it through. So, I was a fan of her E show, but this is better, well done Chelsea. Married, Old, bald, white dude from so cal.

Ultimately, Handler’s documentary functions more as a way to justify her brand of humor than to offer a fresh take on how we talk about race.

For all its uncomfortable juxtapositions and awkward tonal inconsistencies, there are moments in Chelsea Does that make for truly compelling television.

I found the series irritating because I find Handler funny very rarely. If you’re a fan, you’ll have a great time, because what this series should be called is Chelsea Does Chelsea.
