Great reimagining. The actresses fit together well though season 4 struggle with worrying how to fit it all together.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I started off with 3 stars, but every season that attacks white men I removed a star. This show from episode 1 pushes misandry (hatred of men, especially white men) to the point the show is trashed because of it. It has so much politcal garbage in it that I can't enjoy it. I buy most of my Blurays and Dvd's but this show will never get my money. Why would I buy a show that attacks me?

Season 1 does get better for a few episodes and you start to forget you're watching an agenda checkboxing show. BUT, it always shows it's true intentions again. The endless attacks are just tiring. The endless victim mentality is just tiresome.

News flash... we're not the enemy!

This is another trend that seems to be happening with too many shows. Taking credit for mens accomplishments. Seriously? It appears now that females have to take credit for davinci's accomplishments (Season 3). LOL! I almost eye rolled so hard my eye muscles almost ripped off my eyes.

Who writes this stuff? Seriously. After I'm done posting here I'm going to lookup the writer for this and many other episodes. Do you know how it looks when you have to endlessly steal credit for mens accomplishments?

How can anyone takes shows like this seriously? Are you so threatened that you have to belittle mens accomplishments every chance you get? LOL.

Well, at least the show has women in power (everywhere) and yet the world is just as messed up as when men were in power. So, I guess it's truthful that way.

Ya know... I find myself enjoying parts of this show... actually getting into the STORY! You know... that thing writers do. And in the back of my mind I keep thinking... is this the episode that pulls me out of the show due to ridiculousness? I just enjoyed 4 or 5 episodes and then this episode rears it's head and I just have to laugh at the weakness of it. The insecurities it screams.

Who thinks this is good writing? Seriously. It's hilariously pathetic.

This show talks about microaggressions and all sorts of stuff against women... and yet... this show ignores the OTHER side of that coin. The writers are WORSE! Because they attack and attack and attack men. What is the word for that. Misandry. Are you not WORSE? Of course, you can't see it because you are blinded by misandry. LOL!

Kinda like how it's ok for females to hit men in this show - yet we are the bad guys? LOL. It's ok for the show to endlessly bash men. Yet we are still the bad guys? Where is YOUR culpability? Or is it 1 sided? This show doesn't do microaggressions against men. It's full blown misandry. So, I ask you... WHY is it ok to endlessly attack men? Hypocrisy at it's finest.

This show is a joke of epic proportions.

Kinda like Star Trek Discovery - where they put what's her name (the annoying ensign) into #1's position. How can you take such shows seriously? I mean, it's so laughable. Pathetic writing. All to promote 1 person over the other even if they are horribly UNqualified for the job. No quasi military ship in REALITY would ever have put Tilly? Into a leadership position. ROTFL. Wow...

How about this amazing idea. Men have accomplishments and can run companies too and not be evil! I know... I know... it hurts to admit that. BUT... women can ALSO have accomplishments, run companies, and not be evil. Yeah... they can! Here's another mind blowing fact... there ARE powerful women in the world AND (it's hard to admit, but, bear with me).... there are powerful men in the world too who are kind, nice, and decent people. I know... calm down... it's true... take a deep breath... and accept reality.

Oh wow, this show... I tried so hard to like it... but the endless misandry. Childish writing by someone who has to be very insecure. I mean... wow... to talk about microaggressions and then to endlessly commit misandry throughout the whole show. Aren't the writers even worse for doing that?

Is that ok to do that? LOL! This show is one huge joke. With every episode that I watch I keep thinking... oh, this is getting BETTER... and then misandry pops up... and I think... what a joke. Why am I watching this? Laughable writing. Weak.

Ah well... let's just label this as fantasy. Because that's all it is. And very poorly done at that.

The original Charmed... had wonderful, powerful women, with a message... a decent message. They were NOT weak. They were truly powerful and best of all intelligent. The writers were intelligent. The cast was excellent. The stories and the world that was created... were pretty balanced out overall. I really enjoyed the first Charmed. This is very poorly written.

Ah well... good for a laugh I suppose.

The saddest thing of all... there could have been a good show here (every so often I find myself immersed in the show for a few episodes - and then misandry rears it's head again which ruins it). Instead, it's racist... endlessly attacking white men. I don't pay for shows that attack me.

For all the scores that are 1 or zero...why are you still watching if its so bad. I think its really good and the second season has much better writing. People cant just watch, they have to down vote something they probably never even watched.

I still can't figure out what this show is about. Is it about 3 sister witches or about today's political and social issues? The last episode was essentially about degrading men and having safe spaces. What does that have to do with being a witch?

Would have preferred seeing the children of the Halliwell sistersThis reboot has none of the heart, charm and warmth of the original Charmed TV series which premiered in 1998 and ran for 8 seasons and had much higher ratings than the reboot. Would have preferred seeing the children of the Halliwell sisters in a Charmed continuation series with guest appearances from the actresses who played the Halliwell sisters. Their white lighter reminds me more of a wizard from Harry Potter than a white lighter. Everything also seems rushed in the episodes and all over the place. You know right away who is the villain. There is no suspense. The original Charmed series in 1998 had better special effects than the reboot. In the original series you had well thought out plots, excellent acting, believable characters as sisters and as witches, suspense, excitement and magic and well thought out spells too. Tried giving this show a chance after watching some of the episodes. Don't find this series has any originality and seems more to me like a rip-off of the original(and far superior) Charmed TV series. Have the original Charmed series on DVD and prefer watching it instead. Have watched some excellent TV series that involve magic and this reboot sure isn't one of them. Expand

Acting is beyond horrendous, the "Charmed" ones are basically a bunch of little crybaby witches with the mind of 12 year olds, except the Prue wannabe maybe. Scenes in this show actually make me want to stop watching because of how horrible the snide ugly and horrible actors. Notably perhaps the whitelighter emanating Leo was the best actor out of the lot. I've got to be honest, I found the first season of this to be stronger than the entire original show put together.

This show did a delightfully strong job of introducing a universe with multiple characters and organizations. There is an interesting balance of humor and more dramatic story beats and reveals. Plot points never feel drawn out. I felt the finale, which while having a strong main plot, did try to tie up too many loose ends, too quickly. Though in fairness, that is probably because they didn't know if they'd get a second season, yet. It's frustrating when a show has a cliffhanger and then cancelled, so props to the showrunners for not taking chances.

I liked all three leads, though I think it took the writers about a third of the way through to find the voice for middle sister Mel (Melonie Diaz). A lot of dialogue in general took a little while to find itself. The show tackles activist subject matter, which really works in some episodes, but a lot of early dialogue on the matter felt too hamfisted and unnatural. The show also has a surprisingly strong and abundant supporting cast for a first season. Though I felt a few of the villains didn't fare so well in the character department, again dialogue.

Though the show is a little campy at times, which let's be honest so was the original, I found it to be one of the more engaging shows this year.
