    This is nothing even close to the original Charmed tv show. There isn't any chemistry, they rarely do spells as in the old show but run around freaked out all of the time.....not to mention the gay relationship with one of the characters.....the original charmed did not include that and it doesn't add to the storyline at all....it is as if it is thrown into the show due to some politicalThis is nothing even close to the original Charmed tv show.     I was a die hard fan of the original charmed so much until I have all episodes on dvd and alway hoped they'd come back especially with Prue being elevated to an elder as we all know that didn't happen.     It is very difficult to call the series.
    The plots really stupid, the characters are flat and do not differ from each other absolutely nothing. If you watched the original series then you should not see this sequel. It simply pollutes the best vlasts of childhood.

    I don’t understand why this show is called CHARMED. It should be called "Boring Stories".

    Black and White. All goods are color and gay. All evil are white and male. Not abut magic, just expensive social propaganda. This show produced not for people, but reviewers.
    Wanna see real strong growing female characters - watch original series, not this tasteless rubbish.

    I was excited about a new Charmed series until it debuted. It is full of political innuendos, offensive to the senses for its blatant racism, rude and really bad acting. it was upsetting when they used the term "white privilege", white boy and well just to many to list. It wasn't entertaining just insulting. Is this what you want to teach the new generation?

    I think as a die hard "old" Charmed fan this show hasn't been given a fair chance. I think they should have perhaps created a link to the Halliwells instead of a fresh reboot. People still watch and love Charmed the original, and as with all cult shows it has a die hard audience. I think they rushed it assuming the audience would be made up of fans of the original so there were issues around that. They didn't explain it as they needed to, assuming it would be understood. It could work if they had just instead of trying to recreate it put it in the Charmed universe. Look at the Walking Dead Universe. By bringing it all together any other franchises have a much better chance to work. Like the Rick Grimes films, Fear the Walking Dead and of course the original show and the amazing comic. It's all part of the same thing. Charmed would have been better by being the cousins of the original. Where they revered the Halliwells, and found out about them, and perhaps even got in touch now and again for advice. To bring little bits in like Melinda Warren as their ancestor means that they are now the only Charmed ones. It would have been so easy to do. They could have used the images talked about Cole, Leo all the things we fans love. Then it could be how the original Charmed ones have now passed on their mantle to them. Perhaps the writers could have consulted with their fans. Anyway I for one think the show has loads of potential. I like Harry especially as their white lighter. There are lots of things I like about it, but instead of comparing the two shows in my mind I'd like to separate them both, as specific unique shows. Another thing I feel that they accepted their fate far too easily and it had the feeling of being rushed. The good strong role models of modern women is gratifying and it's so sad to see such great actresses being spurned through no fault of their own. The original cast supported this venture so perhaps the writers and crew could have returned the favour by building these three new witches around the original series rather than trying to recreate it. The best example of a remake that makes my teeth hurt is Robocop. What a pile of doo doo that was. It wasn't fit to lick the originals boots as far as I'm concerned. Stop being scared and either remake it properly or better still pay homage to the original but say hey this is the new way of doing it to fit in with the new world the 21st Century addition but we love and will always be grateful the 20th Century one. So the original still has it's place in history and for that we are grateful but this is in homage to that greatness but a new way. It would work so much better. I for one would love that. They need to be separate entities not rehashed versions of the old. If you do that you lose the spark, the creativity that made the first version stand out. So give this show a chance but make it part of something bigger instead of trying to piggyback on the glory of the original. I have given it 9 to help because it angers me that all the hard work and love shown is dismissed so easily. It's good but rethink where it starts from.… Expand

    The origin built up the story of the Charmed Ones, this just throws in the story. I hope it gets better and the first 2 episodes were teething exercises.

    I'm really disgusted with the negative OG fan bashing on this show and giving it zero reviews wanting it to fail out of some kind of avid devotion to the original. These are not reviews of people, who have watched the show itself, maybe the pilot. The pilot for the OG charmed was not released officially, and those who have seen it would have to be very self-deceptive to not admit it didn'tI'm really disgusted with the negative OG fan bashing on this show and giving it zero reviews wanting it to fail out of some kind of avid devotion to the original. These are not reviews of people, who have watched the show itself, maybe the pilot. The pilot for the OG charmed was not released officially, and those who have seen it would have to be very self-deceptive to not admit it didn't really run on all cylinders. It would be impossible for any self respecting semi-objective viewer to watch what's released in the reboot so far and not see some merit. The show has picked up substantially since the pilot. I'm a fan of the original show who's given the new version a proper chance and it stands on it's own and has me invested.

    Objectively, I'd probably give what I've seen so far as a whole an 8/10, but I'm doing what's right and going 10/10 to try to slightly balance out the biased smear campaign from people I'm sure haven't really watched much of it and are just trying to run a negative fan campaign to badmouth the show, probably in hopes of it being cancelled.     I loved and watched the original, and while this is not that, I still really like it! Sometimes it is a bit cheesy with the demons, but I love the humor and Harry. He is funny/charming. I DVR it and look forward to watching every week. I am glad to see Sarah Jeffrey after my fave Shades of Blue cancelled. I think she is a good actress, probably the best of the three girls. Please renewI loved and watched the original, and while this is not that, I still really like it! Sometimes it is a bit cheesy with the demons, but I love the humor and Harry. He is funny/charming.     In our current date and time it seems like the LGBT and the sjw are all that matters in the damn shows, they take a previous show that was a success and they butcher it. Not only they make fun of so many things that are controversial but they also try to push those ideologies on every user. This show is an insult to the original show and its creators. Shame on you all.

    I liked the original version so I decided to tune into the remake to see what was new. While it does have the same overlay of witches, demons , etc, the underlying plot structure is jarringly stupid and no less culturally intolerant that Amos and Andy. In the show, white people are Demons, socially inept, mentally vacant and generally dirt of the earth while those not white    (PC)harmed?

    I liked the original version so I decided to tune into the remake to see what was new. There is no such thing as 'Rape Culture' and 'Safe Space' and all I can see in that regard is more of the same coming down the pipe.     I loved that original series and this is just as amazing. The visuals are spectacular. The writing is great. The cast give stupendous performances especially Sarah Jeffrey, Madeleine Mantock, and Melonie Diaz.

    I loved the original show, I watched the original Charmed from the pilot to the last episode. But this reboot, had me shaking at the fact that this Charmed(Doesn't deserve the name)is full of political bias. If I wanted to watch politics and feminist ideology, I would watch the news and YouTube. When I watch a TV show I want to be entertained, not lectured at. CANCEL THIS TRAVISTY OF A SHOW.

    This reboot is trying too hard. The pilot was just god awful. I lost count how many times I rolled my eyes, the writing is poor and so is the acting, the only decent actor on the show is the white lighter. Not sure what the critics are smoking to give this a decent score, but I wouldn't mind some. Oh and ps...way to go pi**ing off your ready established fan base.

The plots are basically making fun of important equality issues as far as sexuality and women's rights.     It is very painful to watch. What makes a reboot or a revival successful is that it holds nostalgic elements and incorporates the original cast into its story; whether it's a "passing of the torch" moment or still are active in the plotline. But this reboot only spits on what was once fun, progressive, and inspirational.

This is just awful in and of itself. Bad acting. Bad plots. Bad writing. Horribly predictable drivel. I literally predicted everything would happen as it happened as I watched both episodes 1 and 2. Pandering is all this show does, and badly. The show, in an attempt to relate to young people, added text bubbles as a primary feature to the show, with all the annoying text sounds you know and hate, that every respectable person has disabled. They even killed a demon with a cellphone selfie as a rip off of the mirror killing a demon in the original Charmed. AND The blatant feminist extremism in episode 1 made me want to vomit.

    There was a point where THIS was said by one of the witches "LET HIM TELL PEOPLE, NO ONE WILL BELIEVE ANOTHER HYSTERICAL MAN"... "TRUE, IT'S A HE SAID, SHE SAID SITUATION" Chimes in another sister. "3 she's in fact" chimes in the third. "DON'T MESS WITH US, CAM. Go home and change your kaki's"... THEN to top it off, the screen cuts to the three sisters walking out of the college to the backdrop of a protest with signs that say AND I QUOTE... "MEN ARE BORN GUILTY", "END SEXUAL HARRASSMENT", "NO means NO!", the girls walking arm in arm smiling smugly. What the heck does this teach young girls? It teaches them that they can say anything they want, and they'll be believed, because men are always assumed guilty when accused by a woman. WOW. JUST ... WOW...    … Expand

    Despite the timeliness of this dialogue, Charmed plays like a throwback to the schlocky original, which aired in the 1990s and to which it is surprisingly faithful in spirit. ... Charmed is more supernatural procedural than serial drama.

    The deluge of empowerment is relentless, repetitive, and boring. The supernatural elements of the plot seem borrowed from old episodes of Supernatural and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The special effects are super-cheesy, not much better than an old episode of Bewitched.

    The first episode of the new “Charmed” is clunkier than Rose McGowan’s late-‘90s shoe game. That said, a pilot’s job is to clearly let viewers know what the series is going to be about.
