Feels like Adventure Time on the face of it but doesn't live up to the expected hype. Extremely weird but not always in a good way. Sometimes it's just weird for the sake of weird. Sometimes it's just weird for the sake of weird. It goes off on tangents about things that make it seem like a children's show (i.e. puberty analogies, friends are great, etc etc) but then it goes into topic matter that makes it OBVIOUSLY not for kids.

I'll edit this later on if my opinion changes as I'm mostly done with season 1. The good is that it does get into plot development immediately unlike a lot of 'strange/weird cartoon' shows like Adventure Time. It doesn't waste anytime with world building unless it's needed, which can work if the rest of the show weren't filled with strange shock humor and inexplicable one-offs. Your mileage may vary but if you don't like the first 3 episodes, I'd back out as it is a very good indication of how the rest of the show feels.

Post S1 edit: Yup, even before seeing the end I had called the obvious inspiration from Adventure Time. The 'big bad' introduced at the end is almost identical to the The Lich.… Expand

The show reminds me of my little pony with the aspects of fun songs but with a perfect twist and dark side,It was worth watching as it had an interesting story and one of my favourite characters horse.

Unfortunately the show is very flawed and that is in the way both seasons were structured. There is an overabundance of jokes (most of which fall flat but some which were pretty good) and songs which did more harm than good. The characters are charming for the most part but sadly by the end of season you kinda get their shtick and they stay the same. The best thing about this show for me was the god damn villain story, like holy hell this show would have been so much better if it told the entire story the way they explained the Nowhere Kings story which is one of the best villain stories ever but is literally given at the last episode(bad choice). I would suggest checking it out and trying out your patience for the entire show just so that you can check the villains story at the last episode and appreciate it. This is what we call a waste of potential kids.… Expand
