    It's a complicated storyline to keep around, a popular writer paired with a NYPD detective, for so long, but the creators of the show find enough reason to make it believable. Over time, Castle's contributions and bonding with the main crew make it easier to think that a department might be happy to receive free valuable consultation. Over time, Castle's contributions and bonding with the main crew make it easier to think that a department might be happy to receive free valuable consultation. But while each episode typically deals with the typical who committed the crime and why plotlines, the real show advances with Beckett and Castle. These are great actors with great writers behind them making the show funny, beloved, and occasionally serious. Season 2 of Castle is definitely a great one. Of course these kinds of shows have more of a love it or don't care for it type of split, but anyone that is into TV for entertainment and not trying to pick apart every single nonsensical detail will enjoy it. The season's end really twists you up a bit, but again it would have to in order to keep things most interesting.… Expand

    Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion), despite already completing his new novel, continues to team up with Detective Kate Beckett (Stan Katic) looking for 'inspiration' for future mystery stories.

    If anything this second season is an improvement on the first. As with the first season it is the fantastic chemistry between Fillion and Katic (easily the most attractive cop in TV history), rather    Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion), despite already completing his new novel, continues to team up with Detective Kate Beckett (Stan Katic) looking for 'inspiration' for future mystery stories.

    If anything this second season is an improvement on the first. As with the first season it is the fantastic chemistry between Fillion and Katic (easily the most attractive cop in TV history), rather than the crimes themselves, that is the real draw. Their will they/won't they relationship is reminiscent of Moonlighting at its best both in terms of drama and level of humour. More time is also given to Detectives Ryan and Esposito, at the expense of the rather dull scenes with Castle's daughter, and by the end of the season they really became integral to the show.

    Any followers of Nathan Fillion will probably already be a fan of this show, for anyone else it is the perfect antidote to the endless procedural cop shows clogging up the airwaves rarely failing to provide entertaining viewing.    … Expand
