I can't help drawing comparisons between this show and the bathroom humor of Workaholics. That's because the writers seem to be devolving into one beaver shot after another. It was funny the first few times now it's starting to feel like a crutch. Still the writing and the performances are brilliant and you can't go wrong with New York as a backdrop. The first season of Broad City was hilarious. So far this season 2 has not disappointed. Abbi and illana are a natural duo who go together like Lamb and tuna fish, no I mean Spaghetti and Meatballs. The Point is they have a perfect chemistry to the point that it almost seems like there not acting as if they were best friends in real life. I hope this show gets renewed for a 3rd season.

You can tell that a show isn't good when it has universally positive reviews. When they fall all over themselves telling you how great something is, you can guarantee they're working together to prop up an inferior product.

This is a real mystery for me: how this garbage of a series can be acclaimed by everyone? Has the standards of these days dipped that low? We are presented with this two women that does not resemble any real person at all. Ok to escape from reality, but this series pretends to be hip and to nail modern society with an acid critic. We are presented with this two women that does not resemble any real person at all. Ok to escape from reality, but this series pretends to be hip and to nail modern society with an acid critic. Instead, you are left wondering where the laughs are? And what the critics saw of so funny and clever about it? There's no acid critic here, there's no real punch line, there's no laughs - or a chuckle at least - or any redeeming quality. There's only those two whores loose on NYC, banging everything that move and trying to win in life by being sleazy and unfunny. How can so much people enjoy this garbage? I just had to say this. I'm not old yet to have lost touch with the reality. Perhaps that's the kind of mediocrity that will be the staple mark of the Obama generation. The generation that think that Zach Galifianakis is a comedian. Has these people made a deal with the Devil or something? Can't find any explanation for why so much bland comedy and comedians are called funny or genial. Expand

I gave this a 9 for two reasons.. #1 simply because I think they need MORE BEVERS!!!!! and #2 because I found the last few episodes kinda boring and unnecessarily gross in parts. Otherwise, its a freaking funny show!! The high ranking here is well deserved. Oh and MORE BEVERS PLEASE!!

Abbi and Ilana are one of the most exciting comedy duos on television. Broad City is as hilarious and weird as it is important for women in comedy. Along with Amy Schumer and Lena Dunham, Jacobson and Glazer are officially crashing the boys' club and doing it so well.

Although sometimes the humor is a little too naif for my liking, I recognize that this duo is funny enough to keep me well entertained and I can only see the show getting better in the future. It's not the best comedy out there but it's better than most of the competition.

I think people have lost their minds to think this show is funny whatsoever, there is nothing funny about it except a few chuckles. If this show had any ingenuity of not stealing an idea of workaholics and trying to make it their own I would say maybe they have a chance. Overall, just a bad workaholics mimic.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. When I first heard of Broad City, it was when the second season was about to premiere. I decided to check it out and oh my, the first season is funny as hell. But, the second season of Broad City is even more hilarious!

The writing and the humor of this season of Broad City has improved now that we get to know more of Ilana and Abbi (played by the eponymous Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson). What I love about Broad City is its vulgar humor using women as the leads which is so refreshing and entertaining to watch. The cast of this show especially Glazer and Jacobson had sharp delivery in their humor.

Despite its vulgar humor, the show feels realistic as we see the real, dirty New York City and not the sugar-coated New York City that we see most of the time on TV.

I don’t expect significant character development in this show but I noticed that Ilana has slowly gaining romantic feelings with his funny and charming sex buddy Lincoln (played by Hannibal Buress) while Abbi is somehow getting closer to her dreams of becoming….um….a trainer or a illustrator? Abbi is going places but either way, she is getting there!

The second season of Broad City has set up a new standard of comedy outside network TV and I can’t wait for more mischievous adventures of Ilana and Abbi!

Initial indications are good--the second season of Broad City may even exceed the first.

Nothing in the first few episodes of the new seasons rises to that level of madness [in the first season], but give the show another week or two, and I'm sure it'll get there.

Broad City is still very funny. That being said, though, the second season is where the flaws in the show’s premise start to become more apparent, as more and more pressure is put on the structure.
