    The first season was pretty good. It especially got me hooked with the season finale and Bryan Cranston's performance is just OMG! It was a bit slow, because of the build up, but it all pays off in the later seasons.

    Outstanding, one of the best shows I've ever seen. Deserves 10 out of 10 easily. It got better and better in every season. Unfortunately, after you watch this show, you may want to cook your meth. Walter White may be your next role model.

    It's just a beautiful show, and I fell in love with it from the very first series. It's just a masterpiece! More there is nothing to say. Unequivocally the best TV series ever.

    I did not want to watch this when it was running weekly, thought it sounded stupid, but my daughter signed us up for Netflix, saw it on there on a Thursday, watched the pilot.....hooked, just watched the final episode on Monday night. Yes, I need a life, but I was mesmerized. I could be critical of a few things here and there, but chose to let it take me, and what a rush. Dexter, BB, notI did not want to watch this when it was running weekly, thought it sounded stupid, but my daughter signed us up for Netflix, saw it on there on a Thursday, watched the pilot.....hooked, just watched the final episode on Monday night.     Without a doubt a cult classic. A show that has both humour and dark, shocking, unexpected moments in perfect timing. Fantastic actors, interesting characters with real personalities. Very few series come close to this. Deserves no less than a 10.

    O Breaking Bad, you are but a splendid concoction of shameless grit, dark wit, phenomenal acting, dynamic male AND female characters, fast paced action and pensive, subtle reflection, all simmering together in the same deliciously debauched stew.

    This is the best show I have ever watched and I believe this series will be the classic of our generation. Credit to the writers, the producers and most importantly the actors, especially Bryan Cranston & Aaron Paul. If you haven't watched it WATCH IT !!!!!

    Breaking bad is very phenomenal. Works quite the emotional side while tense. The final ta getting electrifying! Which by the way in all the episodes from beginning to end!

    This was the best show on TV, in my life time (and I am in my mid 40's), EVER. Really...really recommend it to everyone. A real "page turner". Deserves much more then a 9.4 user rating.

    Normally when I hear about the next big American TV show, I think "oh no, here we go again". But you know what, I am absolutely stunned by how incredible Breaking Bad truly is. Superb actors and an incredible story from start to finish. My only regret is not being able to rate Breaking Bad above 10.

    Breaking Bad is the best TV show we are ever going to get. Perfect Writing, Perfect Casting, Perfect Story. Everything about this show is awesome, there is only 1 slightly meh episode in my opinion and it's the Fly one in season 3. Everything else is LEGENDARY.

    I finally took the plunge with BB as I had been putting it off not believing the "hype" about the series. Best decision I ever made!! Absolutely incredible series! I ended up watching all 5 seasons within about 4 weeks as it is incredibly addictive. As previous reviewers have said the seasons get better and better, ramping up the action stories with each season.     Breaking Bad is an incredible experience and a T.V show worth watching more than any other. Honestly, it is a hugely interesting and captivating. Bryan Cranston's acting was purely mesmerizing and he rightfully made Breaking Bad one of the most popular shows on T.V!

    Absolutely brilliant. There are of course a few discrepancies but it isn't every day you find a show like this; mature, gripping, intelligent. It's also so ridiculously refreshing to find a high profile mature show which doesn't throw in sex scenes just because it can- retaining its artistic integrity.

    This show is perfect. There is not other way to describe it. Excellent acting from all characters with an excellent, entertaining story. There is never a dull or boring moment in this show, all the way from the brilliant pilot to the superb ending. If you haven't seen this show yet, give it try, you won't be disappointed.

    One of the best TV Shows ever made, AMC's Breaking Bad proves that creating a new idea and putting that idea to work can indeed work out well. This show has some of the most well-written, well-developed, and overall well-made characters on the small screen. This is a show which you will find yourself losing hours in as you delve into this brilliant work.

    Probably the greatest TV show I've ever seen. Great characters, dialogue and suspense with a little bit of humour.. Bryan Cranston is remarkable and Aaron Paul is fantastic. Some episodes are small masterpieces of suspense. Bravo!

    Out of every movie, tv-show, or anything that has been displayed on a screen for that matter, this, THIS show is the best thing I have ever seen. When people ask my top 3 favourite movies, I say breaking bad anyways. Down right spectacular with an ending that was none other than perfect. I can't believe people could make something so good, it's just outrageous. If anyone gives it under aOut of every movie, tv-show, or anything that has been displayed on a screen for that matter, this, THIS show is the best thing I have ever seen.     Alright then. I did not watch all of the series yet, in fact, Iam at Season 2 Episode 12 right now. As far as I can tell, is this probably the best TV series I have ever watched! Seriously, it's just amazing! It is a real joy to watch this series so far and I will definetely continue to watch this show.

    I watched the first season already when it came out a few years back, but started watching the rest only a while ago. That resulted in me binging the last four seasons, 55 episodes, in four weeks. And those weeks must be the best ones of my life. Well, at least almost. This is the way TV should be written.     This is the way TV should be written. What a character study. It used so many techniques to highlight the depths of human nature. The show cleverly used the environment and objects to highlight the inner feelings of characters. The dialogue was well planned and sharp. The meth cooking was in the end just a small device to explore humanity and what drives people, whether towards good or bad. You know what? I could keep showering this show with praise, but I don't really need to, because most of you already know what I'm talking about.

    What I will however say is this: I cannot understand those people who find this show boring, who think that the long scenes with dialogue are nonsensical. They apparently have no idea about quality writing and how stories are built up! I have no idea what kind of shows give a person satisfaction if Breaking Bad doesn't. This show is deeply emotional. How can a person find a show boring when innocent people in it have to suffer the ramifications of a few people's bad deeds? They say one cannot argue about taste, but when it comes to Breaking Bad, I think one can. All the awards and accolades speak for themselves. If one belongs to the tiny minority of people which doesn't like this show, then one needs to question one's understanding of superb story telling.    … Expand

    If you somehow didn't get on the bandwagon for the last season, you missed out huge. Don't let it continue, watch it all! This whole show is great, but the last season is the best entertainment I have ever seen with my own 2 eyeballs.

    This series was wild from start to finish. For real a washed up teacher teams up with some edgy gangster druggy to make meth which ends up being one of the greatest shows of all time.

    My favorite TV show of all time. There are so many memorable moments and quotes. There are also so many memorable villains 'Heisenberg' meets along the way. Bryan Cranston couldn't have done this role any better, and no one could have replaced him

    I'm not a huge drama guy… I stick to sitcoms like the office, seinfeld and parks and rec. I hate when shows are hyped up by so many people, but Breaking Bad is not one of those shows. It is EXACTLY what everyone said it was. I was drawn right out of the gate with the pilot episode. You learn to either strongly love or passionately despise (in a good way) the characters of the show. HighlyI'm not a huge drama guy… I stick to sitcoms like the office, seinfeld and parks and rec.     This is one of the best drama TV series to appear on our screens over the past few years. The acting is perfect, direction is quality and production values are high. During each series, there is one or two slow episodes - but watching every episode of every series gives back a lot to the soul.

    Starts off a little slow but the pace picks up halfway through season 1. From that point on it's a thrilling ride. Breaking Bad is a modern day classic.

    I hate giving out 10s, but this series is deserving of a 10. The character development is among the best that I have ever seen. I also appreciate when a series contains a storyline that is not so easy to predict. This series is entertaining in many different ways.

    Let's just say a classic was born.From the amazing plot to everyone's acting, this show is the absolute definition of masterpiece. Not only is the first season a game changer in terms of dramas but is an essential viewing for anyone who likes good entertainment. It all goes uphill from here, even though we are already at the top.

    The series starts off a bit slow after the first couple of episodes but then takes off from there. This show was very well written and one of those shows in which I had to watch the new episode right away. I actually watched this series twice and was just as good the second time around.

To secure the future for his family, he starts a meth lab with a former student, Jesse Pinkman (played by Aaron Paul). I gave the first episodes a chance, and I was hooked. It was brutal action, darkI don't know where to start. "Breaking Bad" is the best TV-show ever. I was doubtful for the plot. A chemistry teacher, Walter White (played by Bryan Cranston), gets inoperable lung cancer. To secure the future for his family, he starts a meth lab with a former student, Jesse Pinkman (played by Aaron Paul). I gave the first episodes a chance, and I was hooked. It was brutal action, dark comedy, grade A+ drama and two of the most memorable main characters I've ever seen. Walter White starts as a humble man and in the end of season 1 he is the anti-hero Heisenberg, a meth dealer who is the creator of the purest meth in the country.     I was hesitant about watching this show because I'm usually into more romance and comedies but good thing I did! Honestly hands down one of the best shows I've ever seen. Brilliant story plot and the actors made it even better.

The boring chemistry teacher discovering his hidden personality. The scenic back drop of New Mexico. Great acting by all the regular characters. The weird, once in a lifetime characters seemingly introduced every episode. The "chicken man" , one of the baddest bad guys in TV history. Every season was good.     Amazing plot, amazing characters! Great acting tho! It's basically everything I search for in a Tv Show. The end got me in a puddle of tears and now I don't know what to do with my life, actually. Every episode kept me on the edge of my seat. Such a shame it ended :(

The original run of Breaking Bad came to an end toward the end of 2013 as a show that, over its time, had gradually built a bigger and bigger audience as everyone jumped on the bandwagon of what was, arguably, one of the finest television shows produced in years.

    The season 5 finale drew an incredible 10 million viewers and almost universal praise. I was one of those people who, not so much jumped on the bandwagon for the first time, but jumped back on after losing interest following season 3.

    Before you sharpen your pitchforks and get a good, old-fashioned lynch-mob together, my losing interest in Breaking Bad was more due to my terrible attention span than anything else. I was a bit confused by season 5, namely because it followed probably one of what I now know to have been one of its most eventful seasons in season 4 which culminated in the demise of Gustavo Fring.

    I jumped back into Breaking Bad recently, having been bored one night following a routine porn viewing, I binged on a few episodes as Netflix subscribers are wont to do, and then I got hooked once more. What went from just the first three episodes of season 1, turned into another nightly routine of a few Breaking Bad episodes before bed until I run out of episodes to enjoy; that day being today.

    For those unacquainted with what is, justifiably, often referred to as a televisual masterpiece, Breaking Bad focuses on its main protagonist/antagonist, Walter White. A high school science teacher who is diagnosed with late stage cancer stumbles into the world of cooking crystal meth after witnessing one of his old students, Jesse Pinkman, escape from his own meth lab after being raided by the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA). Walter, by the way, witnessed this while on a ride along with his brother-in-law, Hank, an officer within that very agency.

    Walt sees an opportunity, an opportunity to make sure that his family is set for life, making them financially secure, as well as paying all the medical bills that come with chemotherapy. What starts as a small-but risky-venture to protect his family's future when he anticipates he will be long dead, turns into an obsession, a thrill-ride as Walt goes from a small time meth cook, to the King of the Mountain.

    Played by the brilliant, Bryan Cranston, the character of Walter White is, as he should be in a show like this, the most compelling character ever seen on a television screen. The show itself turns into a philosophical study of the ego, revolving around Walt, it shows him going from the wimpy good-guy (pretty much Hal from Malcolm in the Middle), to the ultimate bad guy, a monster only concerned with himself, his own status within the meth business as the legendary Heisenberg.

    As Walt moves up the food chain in this world, he pushes his own family away while embracing the new family he has created for himself, Jesse Pinkman as the son he seems to have always wanted, and his extended family, the loyal servants and dealers who will do his every bidding at the flash of a few thousand dollars. Walt throughout the show struggles with the consequences - big and small - of his actions until, ultimately, the consequences don't seem to matter at all to Walt. He is the very definition of someone being too big for their boots, while he ascends to the top of the ladder, he never truly becomes the leader of the pack he ends up wanting to be.

    He will always be just a mere imitation of those who do the drug business so much better than he, and that is what largely compels Walt's actions throughout the show, the drive to be better, the bitterness building within at the knowledge he will never reach that point. It's that fascinating understanding of what drives Walt throughout the show that makes Breaking Bad such a compelling watch. Sure, there are parts of it which are slow, or maybe slightly absurd, even for a show such as this, but it all works because of its central character, because they're cogs in the well-oiled machine that drives Walt's story forward.

    If you've not seen the show before, this is something that I strongly recommend. If you have seen it before, then, hopefully, you will understand exactly why it's so universally loved.    … Expand

    Hands down one of the best TV series ever made, and one of the very few to deserve a 10.

    The tension, drama, and acting are really what makes this show so special. Though I can tell you after having re-watched the whole series recently, another great point is what you'll get out of watching it again and seeing what you missed the first time around.

    I was hesitant to watch this series because I didn't think it would be something I would enjoy. I was wrong. This show far exceeded my expectations and quickly became one of my all-time favorites!

    One of the best shows I've seen in a long long time. Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul did an amazing job sinking into the true nature of the characters. Kudos to Vince Gilligan for coming up with such an amazing concept that stands out among all the other TV series.

    Breaking Bad season 1 may not reach the same levels as the following seasons, but it still in itself is amazing. From the very beginning it introduces a believable and lovable family, with fully fleshed out characters and an interesting plot that keeps you always wanting to come back for more. It has terrific performances, writing, and direction from beginning to end. It is a must see for all.

    When I think good acting, I think Breaking Bad. Seasons 1 through 3 are a bit slow however 4 through 5 is as if Vince slammed on the pedal creating perhaps the most exciting series of all time.

It really just tries to rape your emotions, and does a damn fine job of it too. It's creative, and ingenious in every way you can think of. Instead of the usual garbage on television, this is something different. Walter does an amazing job of juggling the many relationships he has, cooking meth and his battle with cancer. Supporting characters like Jesse, Tuco, Saul, Skyler, Flynn, the in-laws do an amazing job and each play a vital part in the show offering something new instead of just being extras. The entire show keeps reminding you of the bigger picture and the seriousness of Walter's actions. I could watch this show again and wished they had more than 4 seasons. This show actual made me binge watch the series. If you haven't seen it... get it watched.… Expand

    This serie is amazing. I have already seen it twice and I will see it again very soon. I can't compare it with other series, Breaking Bad is the best show ever made in my opinion. Great casting and story telling, I can't complain about a single thing.

There are very, very few shows where every series is consistently excellent (the only other I can think of is Fawlty Towers in its short 2 series run). Each series builds on the last, showing the morality compass of our protagonist gradually mutate from fairly understandable but illegal decisions (underpaid chemistry teacher with 2 jobs decides to help a failed student make meth as a one off to help pay bills for a new child) to entirely evil (literally becoming a drug baron in the midst of drug laws).

    You actually catch yourself sympathising with acts we would decry and be in disgust of because of how brilliantly the characters are introduced to us.    … Expand

    Epic TV series - and CLASS A acting that will go down in history as one of the best series ever made!

    I never knew I could ever watch anything other than chick flicks until this series blew my mind away and started making my brain cells do their thing again.

    This is the best Crime Drama show running on television alongside Dexter. The writing is simply brilliant, tough the series is a little slow but the acting of Bryan Cranston is outstanding.

The transformation of Walter White is amazing and Bryan Cranston is a name i will never forget.     Great actors acting. As with the genre, there is tension in each series. One of the few series where the new season is better than the past. The plot is great from start to finish, everything is finished so that no questions are left. The best in her genre (criminal drama) and one of the best television series in the history.

    Breaking Bad, created by Vince Gilligan is a masterpiece of TV. With incredible acting, smart writing, and unexpected twists, this show will go down in history as one of the best TV shows ever made. If i could, i would give it an 11 out of 10.

    This review is for the entire show. Breaking Bad is a genius masterpiece that graced the televisions on 2008. Although I started it late, I am thankful that I got to witness the greatness it has to offer. Great writing all throughout from seasons 1-5. Moreover, the actors in this series is also marvelously great. A brilliant must-watch!

    the show unveils the story of a struggling chemistry teacher * who is an absolute genius in chemistry* and is diagnosed with terminal lungs cancer ... no money for such expense treatment and no insurance ... the guilt was killing Walt(the chemistry teacher) that he is going to pass soon leaving his family in debt... but later in week in Walt's brother-in-law (hank,DEA) busted a meth lab and caught around 700k dollar and being desperate Walt thought he can do a better job there the story hits and he finds his ex students(Jessie) involved in the making of that meth and Walt made deal with as partners as Walt being a cook and Jessie being the supplier.
    the above were the intro into the series ... this show will keep u on edge for all the season and the most ammazing part about this show is every next season is more dark and you would not go like no that season was a bit dull .. not in case of breaking bad .. there can be few episode where u will go like naayy thats slow but no trust me those are filler they are too relevant the coming episodes.
    each season will show the progress of Walt from a having a dull struggling life to a mass cook of crystal meth and finally in the end season the decline Walter white to the great "Heisenberg"
    my most fav. this about the way the episode were directed was .. when they revisited the prior episode in start and that was too deep and show that how the prior acts have consequences    … Expand

Its a thrilling drama from Season 1 and 2 wondering when Skyler will figure out that Walter White is a drug dealer, to Season 3 and 4 Walter White surviving with being Gus' meth cook and then just the amazing finish of this show. Season 5 of Breaking Bad was just amazing. The finish. Thats what really made this the greatest TV show in Telivision History.… Expand

    Absolutely amazing. Great cast, acting and wonderful plot. S1 is beyond incredible! Its full of emotion, sadness, happiness, shock and so much more, which makes this a rollercoaster of emotions and addictive TV.

Only thing i can complain about is that it is a bit slow from time to time, and there is some wierd clips so u don't understand why the clip is there just very random. Also it sorta reminds me of Weeds. It is very very dark TV series. I have now watch the last 5 episode. It is very good acting.     The pilot was terrific! This show has wonderful potential... Bryan Cranston is doing some of the finest acting you'll see on TV. Can't wait for Sunday again; I think this'll be one of the best shows on TV.

    Rich with suspense and irony throughout, Bad will capture the imagination of one-hour-drama fans. Acting is solid, characters are pretty much believable despite sometimes the writing can use a bit of tweaking to avoid flat characterization but it's far more entertaining than the usual tired shows and it leaves the viewer always asking what happens next.

It really doesn't hold back--and you better have a strong stomach to be able to deal with all the extreme close-ups of Walt's protean suffering.     After viewing the pilot episode, all I can say is that Breaking Bad is a fresh breath of talented air in a TV World chalk-full of reality shows and docu-drama crap. Breaking Bad is very cinematic in tone and full of top notch acting, writing, and directing this show grabs you from the start and never lets go, I'm eagerly awaiting the second episode of this show.

    Love this show! I've seen the first 2 episodes and I'm trying to tell everyone I know to watch it. It's great to see the dad from "Malcolm in the Middle" being such a great actor, since his character in "Malcolm was so over-the top, I wasn't sure if he could actually "act" well, but I'm surprised! Too bad the Super Bowl is this week and there's not a new Love this show! I've seen the first 2 episodes and I'm trying to tell everyone I know to watch it.     Give Gilligan credit for a pilot, written mostly as one long flashback, that is suspenseful and surprising. Cranston is always fun to watch and Bad is no exception. What's more, a strong supporting cast suggests there is a lot of room for this series to grow.
