Interesting that this season's "Bones" icon mimics the style of an old-fashioned True Romance comic because the show is now sentimental and flat. Television's most coupled-up workplace has settled into a domesticity so smug and dull that the usual perils (imprisonment, virulent pathogens, obsessed psycho-killers) now seem like bad hair days for Bones, Booth, and the gang.

    Their cases, moreover, have become strident right-wing platforms. In "High Treason in the Holiday Season," the murderer/traitor is a Snowdenesque NSA whistleblower. Into Booth's mouth is placed the (completely unsubstantiated) NSA defense "leaks place agents' lives in danger," and his argument wins against Bones's feeble mumbling about not knowing what the verdict of history will be. Why does Booth's argument win? Because he, being a veteran, has a right to an opinion, and the others, being non-veterans, don't. Yes, the character actually says that--and the other characters concur in both word and deed.

    "Bones" is on the Fox Network, remember.

    The axe for this show is overdue. "Bones" hasn't just jumped the shark; it has made a giant trampoline of shark corpses and has invited the entire Fox network to jump on it. What else explains this season's crossover with "Sleepy Hollow"?    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I dont know what happened to one of my favorite shows. This was by far the most poorly written season in the shows history. It almost felt like it was aimed at mid teens with all the fallacious errors and illogical mannerisms of a team made up mostly of science geeks. The only redeeming episode was the finale and only because I like to see Zach return and not because it was particularly good in any way. But some of the stories were down right terrible. Hodgins PMS was completely unbelievable and detached from how a smart person would behave, there were too many religious and spiritual changes in Temperance that go against everything she stood for and why I thought she was great (because she always put weak minds in their place). I also noticed the humor was dry and some episodes dragged on for no particular reason.

    What is going on over there? Please go back to the roots of the show, this is a travesty.    … Expand

Para meu agrado, o melhor episódio da temporada foi mesmo o último, com o regresso do Zach. Algumas das histórias foram terríveis, o humor desapareceu nos diálogos das personagens e a essência da série está irreconhecível.… Expand
