I tried to give this a chance, but I was only able to get through the first 45 minutes of the 2 hour premiere.

Blood & Treasure, about a thief and an antiquities expert/ex-FBI agent seeking treasure sought by terrorists, just isn't as interesting as it sounds. Characters and dialogue are mostly bland. Acting is basic. A lot of predictable tropes are in this. I liked the international scenery, but it just wasn't enough to lift up the proceedings.

This show has everything you'd want in a summer blockbuster; action, romance, mystery, treasure-hunting, globetrotting. It's like the perfect summer TV series.

Far better than the critics early reviews. Well worth the wait to the last episode, don't critics like having fun ? Sofia is an absolute dream, Matt is fine as an always virtuous leading man. Sofia is an absolute dream, Matt is fine as an always virtuous leading man. Supporting cast was great also. Deftly written character interplay in the quiet moments. How about a Gwen, ( she kicks ass also ! ) Shaw and Father Chuck adventure ? Fun twists and turns to the end, last episode had great moments. Nice graphic technique to intro the overall history of the larger story, and watching Nazi's eat lead is always fun …
Yes, a lot of this is like much in the genre, but it's very well done, lovely to look at, the actors are more than earnest, and great fun to see through to the end. Glad to hear it's renewed. As usual, professional critics know so much about so little, must be rough hating everything....
