Current aggregate rating for this seems about right. I'd give it a 6.5. I don't see what prompted a remake of the 1947 movie and the very mini-series format (3 episodes) is odd. So, we have a handful of nuns establishing a convent and Mother Superior is youngish. It all turns moody quickly and there's gonna be a whole lot of smoldering going on. We are told topography and climate are causes of this. Ok, sure, why not. The point of it all eluded me throughout but do we really need a point? Jim Broadbent gets little screentime but he lends a nice counterpoint of male hierarchical **** Again, why not. Overall production and acting are good. I won't remember Black Narcissus 2020 as great but I might remember it as rather unusual fare that doesn't scream to be dismissed. It smolders.… Expand
