Jun 10, 2019The fact that this show has managed to recapture the magic that made the first season so good is incredible, all things considered. And Meryl Streep is just the greatest ever.

Jun 10, 2019Amazing start. Six of the greatest actresses in the world in action! Nothing but beautiful

Jun 11, 2019It's an amazing TV show that shows what it's like to be a woman today.
Very important themes leave the story more complete, this story that went beyond the romance of Lianne Moriarty.
Actresses capable of engaging the characters, and with the addition of Meryl Streep, made it look even better. This is a great job for everyone involved. -
Jun 16, 2019As silly and indulgent as ever, but Meryl Streep is a national treasure. I hope she lives forever.

Jun 9, 2019We’re back. Originally I thought a second season would be a bad idea but I was completely wrong. Great cast, acting & storytelling the show keeps rolling along doing what it does best

Jul 21, 2019The inspired addition of Meryl Streep as Mary Louise launches a wildcard to the lives of the Monterrey Five. Season 2 starts strong but eventually feels very disjointed. While there are individual scenes of brilliance, it fails to coalesce into a cohesive whole. The editing is choppy, nothing happens in the middle episodes, and the ending feels anti-climatic. 7.5/10

Nov 6, 2019BLL's second season to me now feels like an A class celebrity soap drama. Things proceed with noticeably less tense thrilling sequences and with a far less witty and thought provoking screenplay. In spite of those differences, the production quality here is excellent and easily on a par with S1. Loved s1 but found s2 was not to my own personal taste.

Jan 11, 2020An unnecessary second season, but a thrilling guilty pleasure. You can't get bored watching Kidman and Streep fighting.
-
Aug 7, 2019Season two keeps the drama level very high, sometimes was too much, but the performances were supreme.
-
Jul 27, 2019The production quality of season two is just as good as the first, but the story limps along and isn't nearly as enthralling as the first. This season should be the conclusion of the series.

Jun 25, 2019Big little lies two has exceeded my expectations, I was curious to see how they were going to follow the incredible first season, and after 2 years of waiting it was certainly worth it. 100% recommend this show.

Jul 22, 2019Season is good. Obviously can go deep into each characters story this season. It was mostly about Nicole Kiddmans character. Not a lot of Reeses. More of Zoe's. Not a fan of Meryl Streep but she was the perfect person to play this weasel mother-in-law character. Went from hating her to feeling sorry for her at the end. Eve

Oct 30, 2019Season 2 of BLL could aptly be summed up as an exercise among top-level performers to deliver truly piss-poor dialogue convincingly. They don't; no-one could. But maybe there's something like beauty in this visual proof that some things are just plain impossible; like a video of Joey Chestnut failing to eat a stack of hotdogs that's just. too. tall.

Jan 30, 2021Just like the first season, this is addictive pulp but does come across as being a tad unnecessary.

No second series slump here. Actually, sometimes it was too fast, going for short, staccato scenes, which can be frustrating because often the conversations begged to evolve much more. But this is a small niggle. This stellar cast of women is a buffet of flavours.

To everything there is a season, and this is Streep’s. Monterey belongs to Mary Louise now. God help the five.

Though there are a few moments where Kelley gives in to his tendencies for burlesque – as in the characterization of the principal of the elementary school attended by the main characters’ children – in the first three episodes, “Big Little Lies” retains the invigorating mix of dark comedy and drama that made the first season so special. ... Rather than running out of gas in its second season, “Big Little Lies” is more deliciously watchable than ever.
