'Better Call Saul' continues to dig deeper into its characters and close in on Breaking Bad at an excellent pace. We can see Gilligan's love for this story all the way through the first episode.

The show keeps getting better and better. If you're a fan of BB, then just do yourself a favor and watch Better Call Saul. All round an amazing spin-off!

Impressive beginning of the season 3, the next episodes are very promising and this could be the best season of the show so far. Can't wait to see more characters from Breaking Bad and how both series are deeply connected.

Slow burn for sure, but the quality of the script and storyline is difficult to fault, so I won't bother. The acting is still a bit stiff, for a few of the participants, but works, so again, why single anybody out. Except for the brother Chuck, there has got to be a few more seasons to storyboard these characters. The team behind this show are mega, well done.

It is not often that we come across scripts as well constructed as the script of Better Call Saul. The series that is a Breaking Bad variable lives up to the legacy, and the formula for success may lie in the fact that it involves in its production a great part of what was the original team of Vince Gilligan's first creation.

Is Better Call Saul as good as, or possibly even better than, Breaking Bad? I can’t really answer that question until the show finishes its run but the fact that it’s even being asked is testament to just how good Better Call Saul has been thus far. Everything that made this show so critically acclaimed in its first two seasons in in evidence again here and I can’t wait for season four.

For intentionality in craft, there is nothing like Better Call Saul on American TV. It is deliberate and it is excellent, and the fact that it gets better, season after season, is not a coincidence but the product of time and patience on the part of its creators.

Better Call Saul season 3 picks up where Series 2 left off and continues the messy life for one unfortunate lawyer. Much darker and more serious this time around with a little sprinkle of humor. Despite being a prequel and knowing some of the fates from certain characters, yet the consequences are there and makes for one gripping show.

You soon realize this season is not about Jimmy becoming Saul Goodman, but a deeper look into a toxic relationship on two brothers trying to poison each others careers - What started off lovable suddenly turns savage, and that alone is tragic enough. The show kicks in gears and pushes aside Mike for some real drama.

Bob Odenkirk and Rhea Seehorn are both terrific this season. The chemistry between them is complicated, but sweet and you really want things to work for them. Odenkirk calculated charm and Seehorn gorgeous dedication makes their characters complex. Not once are there outshine with everything going.

You love to hate Chuck, but love actor Michael McKean. He was fantastic this season and gives some of the best acting I've seen in awhile. Especially in the episode ‘Chicanery’ where it finally showcases his acting abilities and became a personal highlight for me. What makes his performance so compelling is how he manages to switch back and forward from sympathy to ruthless. There are moments where you pity him, but quickly reminded he’s one son of a b***h. Some of it through facial expressions and the deafening silence. Without spoiling anything, but the payoff to his character arc makes me more excited for season four.

Jonathan Banks is brilliant once again as Mike. Making his side story thrilling to watch. Just the small details when getting things done makes him fascinating and also dangerous. He can switch personalities as well, but mostly pretend as to trick people than anything psychical like Chuck. Also having the most interactions with returned characters from ‘Breaking Bad’.

    Speaking of which...

In this season, Gus Fring makes a welcome return and oh boy, they didn't waste his screen time. He’s exactly the same as he was in ‘Breaking Bad’. Cold and sinister, but also got the brains which that alone is a dangerous tool for any psychopath. Giancarlo Esposito is excellent and really commands the screen whenever he’s on. Even in episodes where Gus isn't present, his presence is still felt. There’s a scene in where he takes out the trash and suspects someone is watching him in a far distance. Rather than turn around or show some worry, he freezes in place, back still turned to them, and has the blankest facial expression ever. He’s not the prey, but the predator.

Of course let’s not forget the impressive camera work and the excellent dialogue which kept things afloat. Crafted with care and love, you can tell a lot of people behind the scenes are giving 100%. The show plays on your patiences, but if you stuck around from the beginning and your still here, you will know this by now. However your patience is always rewarded.

My biggest complaint from season two is the endless amounts of cameos and feeling a little on the nose. While it’s understandable that Mike or Jimmy will get themselves into so much trouble, they end up meeting familiar characters, since it takes place in the state. I think it’s the presentation and their introductions are the real problem. Gladly those complaints don’t apply with this season, as each and every individual of returned characters get plenty of memorable moments and felt purposeful this time around, like story wise.

Overall Rating: Season three was pretty solid. Each season is slowly stepping in the shoes of ‘Breaking Bad’. While not flawless or re-watchable (after thinking back), yet never forgettable, as you only have to see this once for it to stay with you.

A character superior to previous seasons, more machiavellian and cunning, every more closer to the dark side as Saul Goodman. The cataclysmic, fall from grace, down-in-flames finale incubates high spectations for a fourth season.

Better Call Saul is in the running for 'Best Show on TV' after this season in my opinion. The conclusion to this season is a great one and has left the floor open for season 4 to deal with the repercussions. I can't wait for the next installment of this amazing spin-off to the greatest TV show to ever grace the small screen.

The slow pace of the show isn't going to be for everyone, but for me still delivers that "over too soon" feeling that Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones both provide. Episodes 4 & 5 of season 3 were both outstanding and some of the best acting and TV in general that I have seen.

Given that Breaking Bad is a masterpiece, being its prequel is a very difficult and demanding task. There are very high expectations. And yet, I'm glad to say Better Call Saul manages to be a very worthy prequel. Interesting, well-written story and very solid performance from the actors. If you liked Breaking Bad, you'll like Better Call Saul.

Season 3 was a bit on slow side, some forward movement but not much, a real sense of nothing working out for anyone, in the end. This is a much different show than Breaking Bad, where BB was criminal shoot em up from almost the first episode to the last, this is much more a slow burn story. At times it felt too slow.

Show is extremely slow and the characters are not interesting. I've given up. Breaking Bad was great but this is far from great and is actually painful to watch.

After the first three episodes in the third season I am starting to think i've been tricked and am wasting/have wasted my time. There is nothing going on in this show. The series just isn't delivering what they should. Making me think "hmmm" once at the end of some episodes isn't good enough.

If this show wasn't a spin-off from Breaking Bad people would rate it significantly lower. I

Kim takes a sharp edged turn as she advances in her career almost losing her life in her bid to have it all. This is what t.v. aims to be:continuously exciting ,unpredictable and difficult. Not a single character is easy to root for or understand, unfurling unexpectedly in uncharacteristic directions but these turns are reasonable and once passed can be seen hinted to. The entire ensemble cast kicks it out of the park in this one. Expand

The follow-up to Breaking Bad. Tough shoes to fill. Since everyone is gonna be comparing the two, i will as well. I do not think this was as good as the first episode of Breaking Bad. But in all honesty, that was not gonna happen. Does that make it a bad show? Of course not. This was a however fantastic first episode. It started off giving us answers that we had at the end of Breaking Bad

At an impressive rate, 'Better Call Saul' delves further into its characters and edges nearer to 'Breaking Bad.' From start to finish of the first episode, Gilligan's fondness for this narrative is unmistakable.

The beauty is in the discovery of how much terrain there can be for setting up the chess pieces for the world of Breaking Bad. Co-creators Gilligan and Peter Gould make sure to walk you through it at a slow pace, so you can admire the cacti.

Regardless of where we are in this strange voyage, it’s obvious that Gilligan and Gould are accelerating Jimmy toward his grimmer future. The third season opens with a heavier atmosphere leaning more into the drama of the tale, so much that one may forget that it was originally conceived as a half-hour sitcom.
