    It's another Firefly situation. CBS hasn't given a really good show half a chance. The combination of head and heart, of muscle and demeanor was a joy to watch. Dean Winters plays an endearingly driven cop forced to partner with Josh Duhamel an FBI Agent who at first appeared to be all flash and no substance, but has underlying issues of his own. It's a shame that due to this earlyIt's another Firefly situation. CBS hasn't given a really good show half a chance. The combination of head and heart, of muscle and demeanor was a joy to watch. Dean Winters plays an endearingly driven cop forced to partner with Josh Duhamel an FBI Agent who at first appeared to be all flash and no substance, but has underlying issues of his own. It's a shame that due to this early cancellation the viewer, meaning me, will not get to see the relationship and backstories unravel. Have any of you in the back offices even watched the show? Is there no one at headquarters that's a fan? Shame on you CBS for your shortsightedness. Hopefully a cable station will pick it up and the fun with Russ and Milt will continue.… Expand

    Wasn't sure after the first week but we decided to give it another look this past week and we have to admit its getting better. Not to compare shows but we had the same thing happen when we first watched Breaking Bad, by the 4th episode we were hooked!
    We like the lighthearted moments in this show. if we want serious we can watch any of the 8 or 10 other cop shows on during the week.     i like this show...it is funny and i the not so small town office is very hilarious. all the characters are comical,,, the story lines are just so real (who would thought we'd see a show on battle on syrup), keep up the good work

    I'm glad I stuck it out and have kept watching this show, the characters are evolving and becoming much more interesting. Love the interplay and growing friendship between the main characters. The writing is great. Hope this show gets a chance.

    I usually don't give shows this high a review but this was a great show, with only one episode left before the series finale you know since CBS screwed up on cancelling this, It's a great offbeat cop dramedy I would recommend to anybody, the actors are great especially the combo of Dean Winters and Josh Duhamel then you got the minor characters of Kal Penn, Aubrey Dollar and Janet Mcteer.I usually don't give shows this high a review but this was a great show, with only one episode left before the series finale you know since CBS screwed up on cancelling this, It's a great offbeat cop dramedy I would recommend to anybody, the actors are great especially the combo of Dean Winters and Josh Duhamel then you got the minor characters of Kal Penn, Aubrey Dollar and Janet Mcteer.     Typically I am not into the current "Cop shows", but I actually do like Battle Creek. With this show, it is more about relationships and the quirks of humanity more than it is about the actual crimes and forensics. There is a good mix of drama and humor. I was unsure after the first episode, but after that I have gotten into it.

    It is so nice to see Dean Winter doing a good show again. I like the writing and it is a new spin on the police procedural. The characters are an interesting mix and I like the boss lady.

    I really enjoy this show. The show is something different than the other cop shows. I like male rivalry and the humor. I really hope it's not going to be canceled. Come on give it a chance.

    Hubby and I both enjoy this show. Imagine our shock and disappointment when we heard it was cancelled. Are you kidding me, CBS? wow. Of all the crap on TV, you cancel this show? We look forward to watching it -- bring it back!

    My husband and I were not very impressed with this show. It didn't "grab" either of us. We agreed to give it one more episode before we delete it from our DVR.

    Though I have given this a positive green score, I am not sold on this. The friction between the two main leads seems fake. The scripts need a good polishing. The actors seem to be good for the roles they are doing but I am just not buying the overall premise of the plot.

    I hope it gets better before soon or it will be cancelled.

    If Candice Bergen was a regular I'd give a higher score. I watched the first episode and was kind of bored, then I watched the episode with Candice Bergen and she gave it spice of life. She totally rocked!

    The writing is good, the characters are interesting, and the slant off the typical procedural is refreshing. I thought the obsessive interaction between the main characters (Josh Duhamel and Dean Winters) was a bit annoying at first, and the one-sideness of the Josh Duhamel character was a bit prolonged, but the series has now progress to tamping down the former and unpeeling the layers ofThe writing is good, the characters are interesting, and the slant off the typical procedural is refreshing. I thought the obsessive interaction between the main characters (Josh Duhamel and Dean Winters) was a bit annoying at first, and the one-sideness of the Josh Duhamel character was a bit prolonged, but the series has now progress to tamping down the former and unpeeling the layers of the Josh Duhamel character. I am really interested in how this relationship develops as well as that between Russ and Holly. Having seen Damon Herriman in Justified, I was disappointed how he was underutilized in Battle Creek, but that just helps underline the strength of the supporting characters.     Love, love, love this show!! One of the best of the season!! Now please, please, please pick it up for the next season!! Between canceling Battle Creek & Stalker, I have to admit.....CBS, you are batting a big, fat zero!!! Come on......pick up the pace!! No wonder ABC & NBC always beat you in the ratings!! You wouldn't know a great show if it bite you in your butt!!!

    Once Duhamel and Winters settle into a rhythm and begin showing more nuanced aspects of their characters, I began to enjoy "Battle Creek" for the light, reasonably well-constructed crime drama that it is, and as the season develops, Shore is able to do a few interesting things with the question of whether people can truly change.
