Season 2 does everything right. It developed the characters and their arcs further while introducing good new ones. They continued story arcs from season 1 and have also new ideas that work well. It also deals with serious themes and real life problems. This season introduces Max Gibson one of the best side characters for the show and maybe even outside. This season introduces Max Gibson one of the best side characters for the show and maybe even outside. She is smart, strong willed, a true friend and hero material. With Zeta we got a character that has a great backstory, depth and was so good that I though it is a shame that he got no spin-off. Years later I learned he got one that was never shown in my country. We got the Stalker that is a DC equivalent of Kraven the Hunter. But done very well and original for this. There is of cause 10. Excellent development of her character and believable struggles. The overall arcs are excellent, You see why Terry and Bruce need each other. They are stronger together and compliment each weaknesses while also being the others anchor. Also the problems of being a hero while trying to have a normal social and school live. Terry and Spiderman would have a lot to discus;-). Some plots deal with problems out of real life and are done in a believable way as there are often no easy solutions. For more I will go into spoiler free details in my recommendations. My recommendations are: “Lost Soul” for the backstory, menace and clearing the question if Terry is still Batman without his high-tech suit. “Once Burned” for ten and the character interactions and development. “Hidden Agenda” for the idea, introducing Max Gibson and the conclusion. “Bloodsport” for the hunter Stalker including his backstory, skills and the climax. “Hooked Up” for the idea or bait to control the victims, Max and Terry.”Babel” again for the idea or plan the villain uses and Bruce and Terry. They need each other. “Eyewitness” for the mystery, Barbara Gordon and conclusion that teaches a valuable lesson about expectations. “The Eggbaby” for the humorous situation I wont spoil. “Zeta” for the ideas, the character Zeta, the chemistry between Terry and Zeta and conclusion. Zeta got rightfully a spin-off series. “Plague” for the return of a character, the team work and whole set up. Finally “Ace in the Hole” for the backstory of Ace (Bruce Waynes dog but this implies ownership when he is not owned by anyone). Overall they delivered again an awesome season.
