One of the Best animations, story wise. character wise, execution wise, lore wise, casting wise. I have nothing but high praise for carrying on the darker tones of Batman into a future concept that seemed well lived in.

Terry though was not my most favorite portrayal of Batman what with The Original one being there right by his side the whole time, I would be lying if I said Terry as a character did not grow to be a capable one.
The show end felt a little bit unsatisfying considering the series did not really get a proper finale, the available seasons are endlessly re watchable.
Please leave this gem alone Hollywood unless you have people who truly want to recreate this for the complex yet satisfying narrative it grew to be.
I will accept Michael Keaton in the place of Bruce as a good start if Hollywood does intend to make this into Live Action movie, although i will be hard pressed to put my finger on any current directors who can truly give this the love, care and attention it deserves. Maybe Tom Ford or Denis Villeneuve.

Successor to The New Batman Adventures, Batman Beyond just proves that the writers are so desperate to continue Batman, they have to make a future Batman.

Best cartoon i've ever seen and at 18 I'm still watching it! The show has everything a good drama/comedy needs. Thankfully we don't have to endure any re-makes or edited versions.

This show is not as good as Batman: The Animated Series, but it is still a good Batman series, considering the crappy Batman shows that we have today. At times it can be really strange, but I guess that's the way it will be in the future.

Besides the original Batman: The Animated Series this is hands down the second best to ever come around. It has great story telling and it does it well for taking place in a future Gotham, if you are a fan of batman or the original animated series definitely pick this one up!

This show is terrific as it brings a darker tone to the DC Universe with the very sweet music. So basically I found this shoelw to be very outstanding.

The premise of a retired Bruce Wayne mentoring the new, young Dark Knight works perfectly. Batman Beyond is packed with episodes that contain brisk action, intriguing villains, great plots, fast pacing, slick and witty dialogue, fun and lovable characters, great comic relief and emotional layers. It's soundtrack is nothing short of catchy, with its great intro theme and end credit sequence. But one of the major driving forces behind the appeal of this show for me is the perfect voice cast. Batman Beyond deservedly qualifies as my second favorite Batman cartoon right after The Animated Series. Expand

One of the few tv spin-offs that is equal to it's father series. The animation is slick, the acting is strong, and the stories are touching. Bruce Timm has done it again!

Only second to Batman the Animated Series. Batman has vanished years ago and Bruce Wayne retired from public a short time after. This is the story of Terry Mc Ginnes that after discovering by accident (or fate) who Bruce Wayne really was and a blow of fate strikes him becomes the new Batman under the guidance of Bruce Wayne. I must admit I just started to watch it out of curiosity not expecting much. What I got was one of the best animated TV show I have seen. I though Bruce Wayne will ever give up on being Batman. I would rather believe that he can give up breathing;-). Then I watched the first episode and it showed me that I was so wrong. Wont spoil it but will say that is so true to the Batman mythos that I found no one that argues against this. Its something that hits Batman harder than Bane, the Joker or the dead of Robin could. You feel the impact that shattered him and later the sadness. It has great characters with Terry McGinnis (Nobody uses the name Terence for him) we have a good new batman. He is unpolished and has a lot to learn but has his heart on the right place. Bruce Wayne is his mentor or father figure. Still as strong willed, intelligent and courageous as before but getting older had its toll on him. It has also good new villains while they cant like nothing else compete with the original rouges gallery they are pretty good. You have Derek Powers who is an excellent villain. There are the Jokerz gang who are basically Joker fans, Inque who has great abilities and powers as much as a good backstory, the royal flush gang and Spellbinder in a new incarnation (Old character with many incarnations). Lets go to my recommendations: “Rebirth part 1 and “”. I thought how would you explain that Bruce Wayne quits being batman. That is impossible but lets see how they will do it. Then I must admit defeat. It is absolutely valid and a true representation of who Batman and Bruce Wayne are. It is also done so relatable and sad. It won me over. Then we got the introduction of Terry and the rebirth of Batman. Well done and won many of us over. “Black Out” for the introduction of Inque. “Meltdown” for the continuation of a story for a character I cant spoil. “Dead Mans Hand” for setting up the stories of the Royal Flash gang and Terry's Spiderman like problems. His heroes duty have negative impacts on his studies and social life including girlfriend. Ascension” for the awesome final episode and conclusion. It has only 13 episodes but all are strong. Overall one of the best first seasons for an animated show. Expand
