    Based on the various previews for Bar Rescue, one would expect a Spike TV version of Kitchen Nightmares. Ultimately, it plays out just like that, but with a few exceptions. Like most Spike TV shows, it features an aggressive voice over and lots of boobs, but they also present genuinely interesting facts. For example the relation of motorcycles in view and the number of female bar patrons.Based on the various previews for Bar Rescue, one would expect a Spike TV version of Kitchen Nightmares. Ultimately, it plays out just like that, but with a few exceptions. Like most Spike TV shows, it features an aggressive voice over and lots of boobs, but they also present genuinely interesting facts. For example the relation of motorcycles in view and the number of female bar patrons. Also the focus isn't on food, but instead drinks, which is a welcome change from similar shows. In the end Bar Rescue is a restaurant/bar makeover show for men. If you like shows like Kitchen Nightmares and are male, then this show is for you; if not then you probably will have little interest.… Expand

    I really enjoy this show, the presentation is great, the host is to the point and his experts know what they're doing. They do a really good at redecorating also, there wasn't a single bad job the entire season. If you enjoy Kitchen Nightmares or Restaurant Impossible you will love Bar Rescue.

    Its important to eat healthy and have a very clean place to eat at.. but their is just one small problem. It is a restaurant.. witch means, you are buying foods that could have done been made from other places (easy fix) and some places are like a pig style witch i completely understand that require much help and need cleaned up but its a place where over a thousand or maybe a millionIts important to eat healthy and have a very clean place to eat at.. but their is just one small problem. Germs will ALWAYS be a problem especially in restaurants so it is no big thing, it is not famous.. This show and the show called "car lot rescue" are just a copy and should be terminated and taken off air.. Should leave this to the man called "hell's kitchen" so i give bar rescue a 3 and car lot rescue a 0 since it came out right after bar rescue witch makes it obvious that its a bar rescue copy and wanna be (copy and paste) and as for hell's kitchen i give a 7… Expand

    The drama is almost always fake and badly acted but you really feel like you could open your own bar after watching a few episodes. All the little tidbits about where to build a bar, and why, for what demographic, and how to design the atmosphere and drinks for it is really interesting. Just get through the drama that is 50% of the show and it is still enjoyable.     The result is strangely illuminating--who knew that the sight of six motorcycles parked outside a bar will keep 88% of female customers away?--and sometimes hilarious.
