I did not enjoy this as much as season 1, Sam is still my favourite and when a scene is about him, it's great, but more and more I felt bored with the other characters and cliche predicable storylines.

This series just keep getting better. from a solid start in season 1 , season 2 does not put a foot wrong. Strong performances by all the cast and a great story line sees it home. I can't wait for Season 3! Keir Gilchrist as Sam and Brigette Lundy-Paine as Casey make it riveting.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Atypical season two builds on the strong foundation set by season one, but I’ve rated this one lower than the previous season so whys that?

First, I do need to mention that I mostly enjoyed this season for example the characters were as strong as before with one exception that I’ll mention later and that is the main reason I enjoyed season one but mixed with some of my other issues I can’t help but lower my rating compared to last time.

Well it’s essentially more of the same, I could literally copy and paste my previous review plus or minus a few details. For example, the predictable storytelling is back and I feel it’s even stronger than before. Casey falls victim to these generic storylines, with Izzie’s boyfriend making a move on her and they the lesbian subplot between Casey & Izzie I saw them both coming and I was begging that neither would happen or at the very least we would only get one of them but nope, possibly the most interesting character (other than Sam) from the first season is now someone that just don’t care for as much because it was far too obvious what was going to happen.

I mentioned in my season two review that I would’ve preferred a stronger focus on Sam’s relationship with Paige and this season does have that, and it was obvious that the end of the season would lead to them getting back together but they threw in moments that lead me to doubt that just enough for it to keep me interested. I also remember far more of Zahid in this season and a lot of it is corny stupid jokes but sometimes that’s exactly what is needed at that time, I particularly enjoyed the entire bitcoin back and forth.

Excels the previous with the compelling life of autist Sam Gardner, who gains new experiences and knowledge from friends, and parents and her sister, with the adequate touch of humor and sense of respect for autism. The final chapter makes me wish ask for me.

great season keir gilchrist always wonderful in the role of Sam but the beginning of the season was very boring with this chat of betrayal being that was forgotten the rest of the season and the new characters that do not captivate anything but outside that was good

This show is so good and important, and I loved season 2 so much ! I think it was even better than the first, some characters really got better and more deep (Zahid, Paige...). The last episodes made me cry a lot ! I'm really hoping for a third season

this show was way too good and there just better be a season three. The show actually gets you emotional and makes you feel a connection with the characters and I would say season two was better than season one even though season one was also great.

Atypical season 2 has delivered the immersive storyline that it needed to set up a successful third season. Season 2 helps further break the preconceived mold that this is "The Autism Family Show." While Sam's disorder provides a unique perspective to the world of Atypical, the show is about so much more than that. Season 2 pushes this even further, as it was supposed to do, and finds new ways to enlighten, inspire and surprise by endearing us deeper to its characters.

The result is distinguished by admirably low-key performances, much like in season one, but it doesn’t rise to the level of must-watch. ... It ambles along, showing us people struggling with the stuff of life without making that struggle compelling enough to make me fully invested in it.
