Sep 6, 2016Atlanta is a near perfect show.
The only thing that this show is missing is an actor who is also actually in the rap game in real life. Donald Glover's cool and all, but I think this show would reach perfection if Childish Gambino played the main character. -
Feb 25, 2018So **** good. Such an engaging and authentic show. Loved every single episode so much. Donald Glover is legendary and Lakeith Stanfield is amazing. Can't wait for season 2.

Sep 7, 2016Awesome show. Not only is it hilarious but it feels so authentic. I don't even really like rap but I still really enjoy this show. Can't wait for more!

Aug 23, 2017This is the best comedy series to premiere that I've seen since Silicon Valley. With its cultural observations and downbeat oddities, Atlanta is somewhere near the verge of greatness, and I'm excited to see where Donald Glover takes it.
-
Nov 10, 2016The brilliance of this show comes from its ability to portray a strong message on social issues or advance one's understanding of characters and their depth, within a short episode. How not much events wise can happen in an episode but you come out of it with a great understanding. They also do a great job with the musical score.

Jul 15, 2017It's really good and thought provoking. Can't help but like the guy. He is cute, witty, and funny along with some street smarts. Looking forward to the next season. Sucks it's delayed.

Nov 18, 2017This is easily one of my favorite shows on TV right now. I binged the entire season over a weekend. I found many of the real issues in society brought through with perfect comedy, and very true-to-life characters (not stereotyped) to support the show. I like how each episode can be watched separately and can still be enjoyed, so if you jump into the show at any moment it will draw you in.

Feb 19, 2018This show is one of the most intriguing, mind bending, ingenious shows I've ever seen. Nothing else like it on TV. Donald Glover is a genius.
-
Jan 18, 2017It manages to be funny to actual relatable and normal situations, with actual relatable characters, can be serious when it needs to and extremely funny at the same time... it takes all black stereotypes and cleverly makes them hilarious rather than offensive
-
Sep 14, 2016You know it's a good show when you've just seen the first 10 min of the first episode, and can't wait to see where the rest of show will take you. Finally an amazing down-to-earth funny show.
-
Sep 13, 2016Donald Glover, Hiro Murai and the rest of the cast and crew have absolutely nailed this show. I have seen the first four episodes and they're all flawless, incorporating a perfect balance of humor and drama with phenomenal cinematography and choice in music. You'll have to see it to appreciate its greatness, but for me this is one of the realest and most relatable shows I've ever seen.

Jan 16, 2017'Atlanta' is creative, bold television that is humble enough to mock itself without looking too dumb. Donald Glover's peculiar humor results brilliantly in order to fuel a funny overlook on some serious, important issues.
-
Oct 12, 2016I liked Because the Internet, and I like this just as much. I like the director's lack of usage of music. It makes the show more immersed into realism. Like, the only way music is playing, is if it's being played by a character which is cool. Good entertainment.

Sep 18, 2016This show is a refreshing splash of black, dry, slapstick humor. They're funny without trying to be funny. The script is written in an effortless way drawing in the viewer that leaves you waiting for the next episode.Insanely addicting and stupid scream out loud downright stupid stupid-funny

Mar 23, 2018An excellent show that caters towards fans of hip-hop. Very creative episodes and the comedy is clever. One of the most exciting shows out right now.

Oct 1, 2016Great show. Solid A across the board. Best thing on tv in a while, w The Night Of, South Park, Vice Principals, High Maintenance ...
Director Hiro Murai is ripping it. The humor is hitting. The sound, score, soundtrack is all hitting. Casting is fresh. -
Oct 18, 2016Only watched the first episode. Really, it's kind of a humdrum show. Half the people I know have similar afternoons. I don't see what's so acclaimed or awesome about this.
-
Jan 20, 2017Donald Glover is one of the worst actors I have ever seen. She simplycan not act. His horrible acting absolute ruins what could have been a great show.
-
Sep 17, 2016It's alright. The story is consistent, and you could think it's funny. It's a show. People play characters and sometimes that's funny. This show has characters that you might find funny. I don't. good day.

Mar 27, 2018Severely overrated, after episode 5 it gets completely lost and if the plot was supposed to advance somehow it never happened.
-
Nov 13, 2017This show definitely needs more than one viewing to truly get the whole experience, but based on my first viewing, Atlanta is original, funny and interesting. Really looking forward to see where this goes. Great success!
-
Oct 19, 2016A mixture of funny and boring, but the funny parts are good enough to justify enduring the boring bits. There are some scenes in the second and third episodes that made me laugh like a mad man. But then the next few episodes left me wondering, "Why am I watching this?" Whatever this is, it's different from most other shows out there. So you should at least give it a shot for its uniqueness.

May 14, 2018Loved the first season and the second season only got better! Such a deep show that manages to keep me so involved in where these characters are going. Massive fan of all of Donald's work. Lakeith is also an awesome dude.

Jan 6, 2021One of the best comedies of recent years.
Funny, honest, weird and brilliant.
Donald Glover showing why he is one of the most outstanding talents in entertainment today. -
Jan 23, 2023Starts off pretty good but becomes really great in the 2nd half. Absolutely hilarious show so far.
Awards & Rankings
-
The result is a series that is shrewd, emotional, and impolite, with a style that veers toward pretentiousness but never crosses over. Atlanta has quiet craftiness and the power of precision.
-
It benefits from the sort of deadpan, off-the-wall humor that powered 30 Rock.
-
Atlanta is ambitious and atmospheric and adolescent, skeptical of seemingly easy pleasures.
