    Atlanta is a near perfect show.

    The only thing that this show is missing is an actor who is also actually in the rap game in real life. Donald Glover's cool and all, but I think this show would reach perfection if Childish Gambino played the main character.

    So **** good. Such an engaging and authentic show. Loved every single episode so much. Donald Glover is legendary and Lakeith Stanfield is amazing. Can't wait for season 2.

    Absolutely one of the most powerful series of 2016. A Wonderful job of Donald Glover an team. It's risky, honest,with a really smart and funny screenplay and very well directed. One of my favorite comedy series instantly.

    It succeeds in crafting a rich, textured landscape filled with mystery and mysticism while proving that there is no such thing as a small part.     It succeeds in crafting a rich, textured landscape filled with mystery and mysticism while proving that there is no such thing as a small part. Every individual face, character, word and sound is there for a reason and in doing so it reminds me of how I'm never quite certain of the meaning of a dream, but that never stops me from thinking about it.

    PS. After watching e7, I would put money down (bundles of it) betting that Dave Chapelle is secretly writing some of this stuff! If you're reading this Dave... I see you. Amazing!    … Expand

    Easily one of the best new shows on TV. The "easy" humor in it reminds me of the Robin Harris material in House Party. The lead characer and Paperboi are highly watchable and interesting dudes. Loved the jail sequence - everyone knows someone who's been in the clink - and you get those sandwiches. Laughed my ass off. Hats off to Glover for getting this made.     Such a terrific show. I found nothing wrong with it so far and the characters actually feel like real people, not cliches of "black gangbangers" living in the hood. The acting from the main cast, and even the extras, is incredible and will get you wishing there was more time to watch this show. Not to mention all exterior and establishing shots are beautiful, set with the green tintedSuch a terrific show.     Unlike conventional hip-hop/music based tv series...like empire and the one with the hot country singing chicks...the show has this real focus on character with this almost grounded and surreal style to it. From the first 2 episodes you really get this unique feel and vibe from the show, it's something unconventional, something different and    Donald Glover's Atlanta is brilliant.

    What I particularly love is how the show captures really interesting social, economical and kinda down-right depressing ideologies through the use of funny, witty, dialog and the idea of capturing a moment within the scene or background.

    Atlanta is off to a great start and I can't wait to see what else is in store for this odd-ball, witty and comedic series from the always likable Donald Glover.    … Expand

    This is the best comedy series to premiere that I've seen since Silicon Valley. With its cultural observations and downbeat oddities, Atlanta is somewhere near the verge of greatness, and I'm excited to see where Donald Glover takes it.

    The brilliance of this show comes from its ability to portray a strong message on social issues or advance one's understanding of characters and their depth, within a short episode. How not much events wise can happen in an episode but you come out of it with a great understanding. They also do a great job with the musical score.

    It's really good and thought provoking. Can't help but like the guy. He is cute, witty, and funny along with some street smarts. Looking forward to the next season. Sucks it's delayed.

    This is easily one of my favorite shows on TV right now. I binged the entire season over a weekend. I found many of the real issues in society brought through with perfect comedy, and very true-to-life characters (not stereotyped) to support the show. I like how each episode can be watched separately and can still be enjoyed, so if you jump into the show at any moment it will draw you in.

    Good show. I like the characters apart from Donald Glover, something about his protagonist just really annoys me and stops me from fully enjoying this. Some parts are really funny but then it kind of veers off course and gets boring. I like the parodies of modern hip hop culture, those segments are really on point. I'm hoping this gets a bit more interesting, so far none of the episodesGood show.     It manages to be funny to actual relatable and normal situations, with actual relatable characters, can be serious when it needs to and extremely funny at the same time... it takes all black stereotypes and cleverly makes them hilarious rather than offensive

    You know it's a good show when you've just seen the first 10 min of the first episode, and can't wait to see where the rest of show will take you. Finally an amazing down-to-earth funny show.

    Donald Glover, Hiro Murai and the rest of the cast and crew have absolutely nailed this show. I have seen the first four episodes and they're all flawless, incorporating a perfect balance of humor and drama with phenomenal cinematography and choice in music. You'll have to see it to appreciate its greatness, but for me this is one of the realest and most relatable shows I've ever seen.

    I liked Because the Internet, and I like this just as much. I like the director's lack of usage of music. It makes the show more immersed into realism. Like, the only way music is playing, is if it's being played by a character which is cool. Good entertainment.

The cinematography is very well done, every shot feels unique and inspiring and the characters are all amazing in their own way. Not to mention the soundtrack on this show is wonderful and showcases talent that a lot of people wouldn't normally hear on TV like Kodak Black, Cousin Stizz and many more.

    All in all, Atlanta is a very well thought out, very funny and also serious, entertaining show that makes me, as well as a lot of others, wish it went on longer than it's 22 (or so) minute run time.    … Expand

    I really enjoyed the first episode. I liked the pacing. It was funny. I could definitely relate to it. I look forward to seeing more episodes this season. I think the series will be entertaining and successful.

    Director Hiro Murai is ripping it. The humor is hitting. The sound, score, soundtrack is all hitting. Casting is fresh.

    It's alright. The story is consistent, and you could think it's funny. It's a show. People play characters and sometimes that's funny. This show has characters that you might find funny. I don't. good day.

    I've seen plenty of reviews comparing Atlanta to "Master of None" and, while I never found it quite as consistently funny, those comparisons are fairly apt. The obvious difference is of course the prominent focus on black culture but the way the show mixes comedy with more serious elements, and is happy to play around with the structure of its episodes, all bring to mind Aziz Ansari's showI've seen plenty of reviews comparing Atlanta to "Master of None" and, while I never found it quite as consistently funny, those comparisons are fairly apt.     This show definitely needs more than one viewing to truly get the whole experience, but based on my first viewing, Atlanta is original, funny and interesting. Really looking forward to see where this goes. Great success!

    A mixture of funny and boring, but the funny parts are good enough to justify enduring the boring bits. There are some scenes in the second and third episodes that made me laugh like a mad man. But then the next few episodes left me wondering, "Why am I watching this?" Whatever this is, it's different from most other shows out there. So you should at least give it a shot for its uniqueness.

    The story here was decided to be told in episode by episode, so you don't really need to watch the episode 2 to understand episode 3, it all work in a stand alone way, wich is good, i'm gonna say that it is different, it isn't in a "Black Mirror" way, that everything change from episode to episode, but it is like the story of the episode, wich is opened and closed in the same one, personaly, i like more when a story is started in first episode and only closed in the last one, like one big story, but still, i thought that it worked very well in here. The fact that every episode work by itself and every episode is very small, make some misspoints, some things that run into some episodes does not have a conclusion, wich makes me think about it a bit, and i'm not sure if a like it. More on the show i believe that it does have some problems with rythm in there. The show does a pretty good job in letting us know the characters, they introduce them very well, not talking about the backstory, and still making us care about them, this was essential, because just then we can care about the struggle that they go through, there are episodes that are completely focused in each one of the main characters, so even by not telling much about what they have been past on, we can know them pretty well. I like how the show use the drama, it is ver real, they don't just put some dramatic song to make things to be more sad or tense, it happens even without anysong, it is real, very real, just like in real life we have all of that, that is very good.
    The comedy of the show is great, it is very natural, the lines are smart, there were some moments that i just laughed hard, some inconvenient moments that just poped up out of nowhere or some characters that felt off in some moment, the set of comedy worked out in here, it is pretty much original how they did it.
    The acting was great, just great. Donald Glover is perfect in doing that simple guy, not intimidating, just trying to survive and help his family, the way he speaks and the simplicity in everything that he does bought me here, he is like any person, he could be your friend from work or school, or the guy that you play video games with, he was perfect in what he did. Lakeith Stanfield is so funny, like his aptness is so peculiar, normally it falls on the cliche of a dumb character, but here it is different for some reason, everytime that he showed up was a treat of fun. Brian Tyree Henry also did a very nice job, he is intimidating as hell, we can see how struggle he is, like with drugs, or guns or even money, he did a good job interacting with everyone, really nice actor. Zazie Beetz was also on point, we could see her will to take care of her daughter, also how she cared about Earn, the necessity to have fun and the struggle on life, work and social, she also had some nice comic moments, very good.
    One big thing about this show is the critics about the society, about racism camouflaged, or even other preconceptions that people could have, about the society that don't respect the other for what you think or how hypocitic this could be. It does talk about the bad things in both sides it doesn't just mock in one way, it is smart that open the mind of people.
    The show is very creative in different ways, being in the introducing of the episode with a nice tape, and the title showing up in a different place everytime, that was really cool, or how are episodes that approach different themes, like internet in youtube or a tv show inside the show, and we watch with the comercials and every thing, i really like that, that was different.
    There are some really nice use of cameras in this show, so as the song, the cinematography was really well used, simple, but still great.    … Expand

    The show, unlike the city it focuses, is best place to keep your mind at (since physically you can't move into the worlds of fave shows until Japan and Korean geniuses complete their commercial probability product research on holographic material). It is unsubtle in a very dry and dark-ish sort of way when it comes to the way it does humor. Hats off to Donald Glover for writing this material( who was only till recently just Troy from Dan Harmon's Community; Turns he raps awesome too but I should have seen that coming from that spanish duet medley with Abed ), and also for the dialogue which leaves a lot of appreciative acts to be pulled out from the cast, which in itself is proper and really fit in. But that last part is not a surprise itself, every good show has to have a cast that feels natural and acceptable without the already flimsy illusion of patience and fourth wall. I guess that means an acknowledgement to the casting director and whoever else was involved in the process.
    To finish off and reiterate my stance, watch this show. It will be absolutely every giggle and guffaw it pulls out of you and every guest appearance and plot expectation's subversion leave you wishing for more. Thankfully, there's robbing season time now.    … Expand

    Loved the first season and the second season only got better! Such a deep show that manages to keep me so involved in where these characters are going. Massive fan of all of Donald's work. Lakeith is also an awesome dude.

Unveiling an intelligent moody show that knows how to handle it's characters alongside it's themes so as to deliver rich tongue and cheek stories that embrace sexuality, race,gender and class. There's nothing that captures the surrealism of Atlanta especially regarding black culture.
