    Animal Kingdom continues to be one intense family drama with its interesting characters and bold family approach. Ellen Barkin is wonderful and the boys are growing talented.

    There is something so attractive about "Animal Kingdom"; maybe it is the lifestyle portrayed, or the subtle energy released, or its dark tone that makes up for an exceptional watch filled with threat, danger, and restlessness. Animal Kingdom season 2's "Cry Havoc" is the best episode yet.

    Animal Kingdom shows us what a family connection might do when the breadwinner has a black soul. Ellen Birkin plays impeccably the not easy part of an evil and alluring matriarch. But it’s her five “sons” to tell us why we're so entranced with crime. Great characters, great places and a great script.

    This time the threat comes from within, and it’s a more interesting tension. And yet, even with all of the lies and cheating and occasional murder, there’s still something serene about watching Craig count money while having a beer on the beach with his brothers.
