    This is an error by Metacritic. There is no season 6 of the TV series (except you believe in the Mandela Effect ;-). However this is not the end of Angel. The continuation happened in comic book form. It is called Angel: After the Fall. It has at least 17 issues and an own spin off Spike: After the Fall. This is not all. It is a worthy continuation and yes Joss Whedon is involved. If you like both Buffy and Angel it is worth giving a try. Be warned: It takes a lot of money to buy everything.
