    I have no idea how this woman is a comedian, I made it 50% of the way through the special before the cringe forced me to turn it off. . . There wasn't a single laugh the entire time. Like south park said its literally her saying vagina (or a variation) the entire time.

    To be honest, I fell asleep about halfway through this. It's that boring. What isn't impotent attempts at shock or gross-out "comedy" seemed to me to be jokes poached from other comedians. Watching your toenails grow is more entertaining and less off-putting than this bucket of pit-bull drool.

    The Leather Special is obscene, gross, nasty--but none of that matters. What matters is how unfunny Schumer is. Her cadence and delivery and content makes her show very cringingly bad. It was very difficult to watch her bomb her way through the entire special. I hate seeing anyone be embarrassed.

    the humour was flat, i care not for the cinematography and her mountainous frames and ripples of fat obscured my viewing experience to the point where her crippling obesity obstructed my perception of space time and the concept of comedy in relation to such.

    Really horrible, and literally steals jokes from other comedians.... Time travel joke. she is not original. This particular special was horrible and incredibly unfunny. she talks with such a lack of wit, class, or even humor

    cheap, lazy humor. She can't joke about anything but nasty sex and female hygiene. So boring. People just like her because they're told they have to or they're not a feminist. Good Lord, please bring us more real female comics.

    Terrible. Un-bloody-believable that a San Francisco 'critic' gave this 100%. It's embarrassing, cringe worthy trash. Yikes. What a pig. Do yourself a favor and go clean your toilet instead of watching this.

    If she had made as many funny jokes as much as she swore I would have called it comedy. Instead, it has the label of "white girl complaining about her sorry existence". Don't recommend it at all.

    I’ve been to funnier funerals. All the jokes were vagina and penis related. She keeps painting the narrative that it’s easy for her to get laid. There are non stop attacks on men.

    So I went into this knowing it was bad. I already knew Netflix was "considering" changing their entire review system to a thumbs up/down system because Amy's special was getting record low scores. I watched it anyway. I figured, "It can't be THAT bad. I liked Trainwreck." Ladies and gentlemen, this "special" was awful. I watched the entire thing. I didn't crack a single smile. Not becauseSo I went into this knowing it was bad. What made the special even less funny was the fact that she wore a skin tight leather suit. She looked like she was about to go scuba diving. Amy is built like a sack of dirty laundry. She should stay away from garments that hug curves. I don't want it to sound like i'm saying, "women must be pretty". NO!!! I don't care how ugly a male or female performer is. As long as they do a good job. If a male came out in a skin tight leather suit while he is obviously not in skin tight leather suit "shape", I would be equally disgusted.

    Who didn't LOVE Amy Schumer before realizing that she steals all of her material from other comedians' acts. Disappointment for sure. The Leather Special is no exception. So much of it is directly stolen (and poorly/sloppily executed) that I wouldn't be surprised if not 30 seconds of it was original.
    This would be a waste of five minutes, if you could even stand it that long.

I watch very little stand up anymore because I find most stand up performers dumb and unfunny. So I watched this show after smoking a fat joint because I thought it might be funny because it was so dumb. It turned out just to be dumb. Her jokes are either crude references like her **** stinking. Would it be funny if I got up on stage and said my ass stinks? Most people would say, "Go wash your ass you dirty grub." The other jokes are like someone else wrote them and then she tried to memorize them and screwed them up not really understanding or living the situation. Like when she talks about blacking out then regaining consciousness. I forgot how she worded it, but she messed it up like she really didn't comprehend what she was saying. Maybe I should do some mushrooms and watch it? Hell, even tampon commercials are funny on shrooms.… Expand

    If you want to see a sweaty, gross pig, parading around in leather clothes that doesn't fit her, chugging a bottle of liquor while talking about how gross her vagina is, then this is the comedy special for you. If not, I suggest you just avoid this train wreck.

    Ewwww. Just Ewwww. This should be the new react to replace two girls and a cup. It was awkward when she was younger. Now to see a 50 year old rub herself while talking about her "smells" is just gross. How can the critics be so out of touch?

    Libertarian here... this is not a politically motivated review... Big fan of Amy Schumer, but this concert was just not up to par. Shocking just doesn't always mean funny. Maybe some "Trolls" were invested knocking her, but every fan who watched knows this was not her best work. Watch Amy Schumer's Comedy Central Show or Trainwreck if you want to laugh and experience how good her timing can be.

    Big AS fan, but this special was horrible. Old, tired sex jokes. Unorganized and sloppy as someone else put it(and true) The gun thing was out of place. Seemed uncomfortable and disconnected. I'd recommend to her that she take a break from the light and work on some newer material

    I used to like Amy a lot but this is definitely her worst work. She stole a lot of her jokes too. I was able to recognize at least 2 jokes used before by other comedians. I believe Metacritic's score is extremely inaccurate. The user reviews completely contrast them.

    This past week I've been on a binge, watching stand-up specials from Ali Wong, Tig Notaro, Margaret Cho, and Janeane Garofalo. Tonight I watched Amy Schumer and I have to say that her material was nowhere near as smart as those other ladies'. It was not only not smart, but it was also stale and soulless (despite a bit about the two girlfriends who got shot at a Trainwreck screening).     Amy was at her best in the Seinfeld show Comedians In Cars etc, because Seinfeld was in it and he's naturally funny and can write, but he should have hauled her away in the trunk while he had the chance. Thanks for nothing, Jerry.

    Wanna know what I just did? I judged the special based on the quality of the jokes. This doesn't make me an "alt-right troll," because that's literally not how anything in life works. It does, however, make me a person who did not find The Leather Special at all funny.

    Most reviewers have already stated what I believe and that is Amy Schumer, once an amusing comic, has lost her ability to make (at least me) laugh. Either she better hire new writers or come up with new material on her own, otherwise she will disappear into the comic's graveyard...never to be heard from again.

    I am a big fan of Amy Schumer, but was really disappointed in the leather special. It was really just a re-hashing of the same themes from her earlier specials.

    Write some new content Amy - your fans want something to laugh at, not something we laughed at already in 2015.

    The most embarrassing part about this special is that Schumer performed in front of thousands, thousands that didn't even so much as chuckle.
    She appeared drunk and desperate to make any joke stick as she meandered from joke to joke. There was just no finesse.
    She should rename her special to Amy Schumer: Awkward, Embarrassing and worst of all, Un-funny.

    I have a pretty broad sense of humor, even the worst fart, toilet and sex jokes can get a laugh from me. None, I didn't laugh once during this special.
    She was funnier when she wasn't writing her jokes - assuming she write this set.
    It's a shame because she does have a great stage presence, and when she isn't making foul 'jokes' she is ALMOST funny.
    The special feels ultimately unpolished, cringe and gross. Without punchlines at the end of most jokes it's hard to keep watching without wondering - where she's going with any of this - other than 'this joke is an excuse to tell you I can still get laid'.    … Expand

    Disappointing that this special was so overloaded with sex jokes, (and I'm a Jim Norton fan FFS) I like them but it was so quick fire you could see almost every punchline coming. Her last special was much better, this routine seemed rushed and very repetitive, I've seen worse but not from her.....this was bad....reeeeeeal bad, sure her next one will be better.

    Well for starters I try not to allow other people's thoughts and ratings get in the way while attempting to watch certain shows for the first time. I go in not knowing how it's going to be and come out with my own thoughts about it. Which is the best way to truly enjoy something in my opinion because you're not sitting through the whole show expecting it to be bad. Now    Where to start?

Now you may look at my score for Amy Schumer: The Leather Special and assume I'm some type of "troll" trying to spread hate for the comedian. I understand. Most people when they enjoy a movie,game, etc they want to protect it by fighting back any negative thoughts others will have.

    But do try to understand not everyone will share the same opinions as you. After all that's what makes us human and unique in some way and I personally think negative reviews we will all receive in life one way or another will help us grow and better ourselves in the future for success. If you ignore what's bad about your work sooner or later you might fail as people will seek better actors,products,etc.
    So I hope Amy Schumer learns from what people have to say and improve her work down the road.

    Now when I first watched Amy Schumer: The Leather Special I was expecting it to be decent. A 3/5 stars at best. Usually what most comedy stand up shows will be gaven from me on Netflix other than Dave Chappelle was a 4/5 and Gabriel lglesias was a 5/5. Because their shows was like a roller coaster ride of laughter with some cool down parts to relax and enjoy the story they have to say.
    With The Leather Special it felt like I was on a kiddie ride with a person sitting next to me complaining how bad her junk smelled or anything to do with her sex life every 20- 45 seconds Which as a guy,I don't enjoy to hear. It's not funny but cringeworthy. Did not find the show amusing one bit. I even had to restart the special and ask my wife to watch it to see if it was just a male thing and she find the show gross and the way Amy tries to react a scene is weird.
    Also each new bit she starts is related to what she was saying minutes ago which the jokes doesn't stick.. She brought nothing new to the table. Now most people can pull sex jokes,and Amy may have been able to do it in the past but this time around I think she needs to work on her jokes and be more prepared next time.    … Expand

If you like jokes about having a smelly vagina and having sex with animals you probably still wont even find this train wreck funny and it has lots of them.     I have watched only 15 minutes. That's my time limit. I have not laughed once during this time, So why bother. Content felt not worked on and just like internet general garbage. I don't recommend

    Let's be clear: vagina jokes can be funny, hilarious even. And Schumer has done those funny vagina jokes in the past. They're just not in this Special. I hope that she can let her material mature and take on some more sophisticated nuances. She is very talented and funny so it is a little disappointing seeing her take the safe route with this special. It's okay to not always be the train wreck. There is nothing really funny when she describes how nasty her female parts smell, just juvenile/grade school humor. If her upcoming "Snatched" movie bombs, she will become a mere footnote in comedy...

Always the professional, her delivery and timing was good, but she was let down by the content. Her TV show is far stronger and I wish that she was able to port some of that creative humour over.     It really is as bad as you hear, don't bother. The funniest thing about the entire special is how uncomfortable she looks in that outfit. Save yourself an hour and just imagine Miss Piggy in a gimp suit telling 4th grade level jokes about vaginas. That's it.

It comes off as though she barely cares. It feels like an awkward money grab. She gets on stage and forces out silly sounds, tired, disgusting jokes that aren't original or very funny, and just gives us the same old meaningless Amy Schumer.

    In the world of Joe Rogan, Dave Chappelle, Whitney Cummings, Louis CK, Bill Burr, Aziz Ansari, Hart, Gaffigan, Burress, Gervais, and Silverman, this special is a huge waste of time.

    GO WATCH: We Are Miracles by Sarah Silverman if you want to see a hilarious, intelligent, classy woman do amazing comedy that transcends any other show in a unique Silverman way. (P.S. I don't 100% agree with either of these women, but I respect Sarah's convictions and comedy 100x more.)

    I love stand-up comedy but this was just horrid. The audience barely laughed. She really needs to spend more time writing jokes that are funny and not just about female anatomy. I used to like her a lot but now she is just pandering to the Tumblrina crowd and it's just not worth anyone's time.

    I love raunchy edgy and dark comedy but this fits in all categories except under comedy. The crowd overreacts to sub-par amateur comedy premises. Just dirty topics with no real pay-off. To add insult to injury the audience freaks out over it. It's a very surreal and strange set, if you want comedy turn away.

    I never came close to cracking a smile. Five minutes of discussing her privates and its smell made me realise why she doesn't get much. It did not get better. If you want to watch a plus size female talk dirty in a boring and seriously non-funny way, then this is for you. After 20 minutes, I had enough and wanted to look for reruns of campaign speeches.

This wasn't funny it was a flop and torture to sit though...well skimmed through after 15 mins of the same vagina joke. This routine is more evidence that Schumer is a one trick pony.     If you're a fan of comedy, this isn't for you. I'll be honest, I didn't watch most of it. I got through about 15 minutes before I had to shut it off. I don't mind the sex jokes, but when they are not funny, it makes them just seem gross.

    One can only hope her career is over.

    The last time I saw that much leather it was still on the cow. She's never been too impressive... replete vulgarity, sort of like a white, female Martin Lawrence; probably a big turn-on for the low-information audience, but I tend to enjoy comedy that tries a little harder. She's one of those acts that'll be gone long before anyone really notices.

I saw Dustin Diamond on stage, as terrible as he was, I'd rather sit through that again than this.     This was funny, I'm glad I watched it. Definitely all about the sex jokes, depending on whether that's your thing or not.     I love Amy Schumer, I was anticipating this special. Sadly, it was sort of a one-note performance, the overlong jokes lacked punch, About 15 minutes it was sounding phoned-in, I'm a fan and will stay one, she's usually a riot, but this special was tiring and lacked her usual spank.

    Ironically, the dirtier it gets, the less daring it feels. Part of the problem is that she doesn’t drop in enough context from her life of late, and the material feels like it could have come from a set three years ago.
